    Chapter 67

"Shit! I bought the wrong items!"

Qi Yanyu wanted to run back home, but he was already clearing the jungle, so he had no choice but to tough it out. He had actually bought AP items!

"Brother Yu might be thinking about fucking someone," Gu Jinglan said mockingly.

"……" Qi Yanyu focused on clearing the jungle. Seeing that he wasn’t fighting, Gu Jinglan pressed his face against Qi Yanyu’s slightly soft chin and jaw, planting small kisses. "Brother Yu, do you want to fuck a man?"

Qi Yanyu silently farmed the jungle, ignoring Gu Jinglan’s "harassment."

Gu Jinglan had already started touching his legs and slender arms, thinking how thin he was everywhere—except *there*.

But compared to a girl, Qi Yanyu wasn’t exactly thin. His waist was narrow, and the sharp points of his shoulder blades protruded like defined little corners.

He would trace those sharp edges on Qi Yanyu’s shoulders, even resting his chin there while playing with Qi Yanyu’s "body." "Brother Yu, why are you so thin? Do you often get sick and not eat properly?"

Qi Yanyu was farming minions. By now, he didn’t resist at all—he had long grown accustomed to Gu Jinglan’s constant hugging, touching, and teasing.

It was like Gu Jinglan had just gotten a new toy and couldn’t stop playing with it.

"Oh," Brother Yu had no time for him, grunting in response.

"Why do you get sick so often, Brother Yu?"

Though Gu Jinglan could feel some softness when he held him, most of the weight resting on his legs felt like a bag of bones.

"Get sick less in the future, or else a lot of people will worry about you, Brother Yu."

Gu Jinglan loosely wrapped his arms around Qi Yanyu’s chest and abdomen, resting his chin against the side of Qi Yanyu’s neck.

    *A lot of people…*

Qi Yanyu thought—there weren’t any. He lowered his eyes slightly, glancing at the ability keys on his left hand.

"Why are you still farming the jungle? Your favorite son top is getting ganked up there."

Gu Jinglan kept teasing that the top laner had taken bullets for Qi Yanyu’s Xin Zhao, making him Qi Yanyu’s "favorite son."

"OK, Daddy's coming." Qi Yanyu, who had been farming jungle camps, perked up at the prospect of a fight. He spammed "On my way!" pings and charged ahead to top lane. "Let's go! How are you low already?"

Gu Jinglan laughed. "He's been holding out forever."

"Daddy's here to avenge you!" Qi Yanyu leaped in to clean up.

Seizing the moment, Gu Jinglan nuzzled the skin behind Qi Yanyu’s ear and whispered, "Brother Yu, would you call someone 'Daddy' in bed too?"

Qi Yanyu, who had just dashed in to clean up the opponents, froze like stone. "...Fuck you."

Is Gu Jinglan trying to tilt me?! Ah, his mechanics went to shit!! Damn it, how did he miss his skill?!

"How'd you miss your skill? Huh? That's a massive misplay." Gu Jinglan pretended to be "shocked," laughing as his lips lingered on Qi Yanyu’s jaw, kissing him for being "late" to the fight and "constantly inting." "Should your hubby turn on the mic and use some tough love to enlighten your mid laner? They haven't shown up to a single fight."

Nobody uses voice chat in League—hardly anyone turns it on.

Gu Jinglan clearly wanted an audience to hear him teasing Qi Yanyu. That way, Qi Yanyu’s face would turn even redder. Though he also knew almost no one in *LoL* would have their voice chat on.

"Your mid laner cleared the wave ages ago and still hasn’t come up," Gu Jinglan egged him on. Sure enough, Qi Yanyu shifted focus and started typing furiously on his keyboard to encourage the mid laner.

Mostly complaining about why the mid-laner never ganked top lane even once.

"Brother Yu, chill. Later in bed, you can vent on me—consider it payback for these trash teammates."

"Gu Jinglan… you freaking…" Qi Yanyu strongly suspected that Gu Jinglan deliberately said these provocative banter to mess with his head.

Qi Yanyu gamed until 1 or 2 AM.

Finally, Qi Yanyu’s gaming addiction was satisfied, but Gu Jinglan was still holding him. Qi Yanyu opened his match history—the screen was nothing but MVP wins.

"Brother Yu, why were you popping off tonight?"

Last night, Qi Yanyu’s Xin Zhao had been getting wrecked, and he kept cursing. When Gu Jinglan held him and helped him out yesterday, Qi Yanyu kept whiffing skills, face-checking bushes, and making all sorts of mistakes.

"Quit distracting Brother Yu, and he’d 1v9 this lobby." Qi Yanyu spoke with overwhelming confidence.

"Listen to you, Brother Yu. Tell me, did you win tonight or not?"

Qi Yanyu had wanted to get up from Gu Jinglan’s lap, but Gu Jinglan still held him tightly, refusing to let go.

"I did win," but what did that have to do with Gu Jinglan? It was all his own skill carrying the game.

"Brother Yu must be in a good mood tonight, right?"

"Could be worse." Qi Yanyu was about to exit the game, but Gu Jinglan remained glued to him, his face pressed against Qi Yanyu’s neck, their faces close enough to share breath. "So where’s my reward, Brother Yu?"

Hearing this, Qi Yanyu blanked for a second before his face instantly flushed with a faint pink.

    "…"

"Brother Yu, why are you silent again?" Every time Gu Jinglan asked why he was quiet, he’d watch Qi Yanyu’s crimson face with amusement. "Brother Yu, say something. Are you all talk?"

Qi Yanyu was still thinking of a way to counterattack or strike back hard when Gu Jinglan stirred things up again: "Tell everyone—Qi Yanyu’s all bark, no bite."

    "Oh, screw you."

Qi Yanyu’s retaliation dissolved into weak, ineffective interjections.

"Qi Yanyu, you gonna prove it or what?" He said it as if Qi Yanyu was the uke and he, Gu Jinglan, was the seme.

"…" Qi Yanyu was still wondering—Gu Jinglan had only confessed to him a few days ago. Was he already thinking about *that*? Was Gu Jinglan just in it for the physical stuff?

Not that wanting him physically was bad, but it couldn’t be *just* about that.

    "Gu Jinglan, are you…"

"Yes, yes, I am." Gu Jinglan cut in before Qi Yanyu could protest, teasing him playfully.

Qi Yanyu usually only ever said things like, "Gu Jinglan, are you for real?" or "Gu Jinglan, are you actually insane?"

After needling him for ages, Gu Jinglan ultimately didn’t do much. When Qi Yanyu shut down the computer, Gu Jinglan went to the bathroom to wash his pants for him.

Qi Yanyu watched him wash the pants, finding it weirdly endearing.

At night, Gu Jinglan held Qi Yanyu while sleeping but didn’t touch him otherwise—a total 180 from his earlier teasing.

After traveling together for a few days, Qi Yanyu returned to his dorm and saw Jiang Tiyan sitting on the chair by his bed, shooting him a frosty glare.

Like Qi Yanyu had two-timed him.

Qi Yanyu backed away in fear, snapping, “What’s wrong with you? Why are you barging into my dorm?”

Jiang Tiyan hadn’t touched his laptop or anything else—he just came back at night and waited during the day for Qi Yanyu to return.

“You weren’t picking up. I came to check on you.” His tone was flat.

“Why would you check on me?” Qi Yanyu asked, clearly freaked out.

Jiang Tiyan looked at him, then at Gu Jinglan behind him, before finally settling his gaze back on Qi Yanyu. “Checking if you’re still alive. If you’re on death’s door or just dragging along.”

What had started as something odd had curdled into quiet resentment.

Gu Jinglan didn’t look happy. He’d originally wanted to give Qi Yanyu space to handle things himself.

But seeing that Qi Yanyu wasn’t handling it well, he turned to Jiang Tiyan and said, “Hey, wanna take this outside?”

Jiang Tiyan held his stare for a few seconds before saying, “Sure.”

Before leaving, Gu Jinglan told Qi Yanyu, “Stay here.”

Qi Yanyu knew Jiang Tiyan’s temper—he wouldn’t listen to Gu Jinglan. He hesitated. “He won’t listen to you…”

    “It’s just a chat. We’ll be fine.”

    “Don’t fight.”

“No way. Ten minutes tops,” Gu Jinglan assured him.

After they left, Qi Yanyu stayed tense. His phone remained silent from Qi Muyao, but Zhang Liu kept blowing up his messages, reminding him about check-ups and medication.

When Qi Yanyu was too busy to pick up the meds or take them in front of Zhang Liu, Zhang would either drop them off at his dorm or reschedule.

Qi Yuanhan raised an eyebrow teasingly. “Flame or foe?”

“We go way back, that’s all,” Qi Yanyu deflected.

Huang Shaoze only now realized—this guy was actually a celebrity. He’d seen his ads, and even posts about Jiang Tiyan on people’s feeds.

His roommate was childhood friends with a big star?

“Did you two fight? He’s been camped out here for two days, saying he was waiting for you.” Huang Shaoze, being straightforward, had zero situational awareness. It was obvious Qi Yanyu was freaking out.

Qi Yanyu didn’t respond, just looked down. He stared at his phone, terrified that Qi Muyao might already be at the school gate, ready to haul him home for a beating.

Qi Yuanhan whispered tensely to Huang Shaoze, “Can’t you see No. 3’s in pain? Classic ex drama.”

Huang Shaoze blinked. “Shit, was that bad?”

Qi Yuanhan shrugged. “Not exactly wrong—unless No. 3’s still hung up?”

During class hours, Jiang Tiyan followed them just to make sure Qi Yanyu was in the classroom.

Qi Yuanhan smirked and nudged, “Bro, you stalking him now?” Even though Jiang Tiyan had claimed to be Qi Yanyu’s boyfriend on Monday, Qi Yuanhan still didn’t quite buy it.

“What about the other guy in your dorm? Why hasn’t he shown up either?” Jiang Tiyan asked when they ran into each other during the day.

“Beats me,” Qi Yuanhan chuckled, brushing it off.

At that moment, Jiang Tiyan thought to himself—sooner or later, Qi Yanyu would be "ruined" by these mooching pretty boys.

He didn't know what Jiang Tiyan had told Gu Jinglan, but she was well aware of many of his irredeemable "dark histories" in this novel.

He had a reputation for toying with men, was infamous for his scandals, had begged his family on his knees for a man, and even had his leg broken by them. He'd burned bridges with his family and had very few friends left.

He was afraid Jiang Tiyan would tell Gu Jinglan all this.

So he got up from his seat and stepped out of the dorm room.

He wanted to follow Gu Jinglan and the others, to hear how they would talk and what Jiang Tiyan would say about him.

Just as he stepped outside, his phone vibrated. Qi Yanyu automatically glanced at it—Qi Muyao's name flashed briefly on the caller ID.

A jolt of terror hit him—his heart hammered so hard his fingers went numb.
