Number Two didn't seem like an honest fellow either.

Lu Xiaozhao suddenly implicated him, causing the other Strays to be momentarily stunned. Priest's shadowy figure swelled with rage, his voice deep and heavy like a drumbeat striking their hearts. "Was it Number Two who ordered you to destroy my spiritual body?"

"Priest! I would never betray you!"

Lu Xiaozhao feigned fear, her words dripping with insincerity, more pungent than the stench of decay in the cave. "Priest, this has nothing to do with Number Two. If you must kill, kill me. It was all my idea, not his."

Though the Strays were wicked, they couldn't match humans in cunning. Lu Xiaozhao appeared to be clearing Number Two's name, but it only made them seem more like accomplices.

There were hundreds of winding tunnels in the cave, so how did Lu Xiaozhao coincidentally find the secret chamber and just happen to destroy the protective barrier outside, causing his spiritual body to dissipate?

Priest didn't think it was due to Lu Xiaozhao's recklessness; he felt that Number Two had harbored ill intentions. After all, his brother Xing Yuan had also betrayed him and fled from the birthplace.

She looked up, unexpectedly meeting Number Two's blood-red, furious eyes.

Lu Xiaozhao hastily waved her hands, panicking. "Number Two, I didn't expose you. I didn't say anything just now!"

By heaven and earth, she truly hadn't said anything!

But Number Two wouldn't listen. His dark form became a whirlwind, instantly engulfing Lu Xiaozhao, and they disappeared. When Xing Yuan arrived at the contaminated area, he saw that the fight had already broken out. Number Two was entangled by dozens of high-ranking Strays, unable to break free. Priest was still raging beside him. "Number Two! Hand over the reincarnation body, and I'll spare your life!"
