Chapter 26: Why Did You Call the Parents Again

The teacher, with an evasive expression, said, "Children's fights are no big deal. Parent, you're making a mountain out of a molehill!"

This private kindergarten was very well-known locally. The children who attended were from wealthy and prestigious families. Of course, there were occasional exceptions—families who were too poor to afford basic meals but still sent their children here.

To the teacher, Jiang Xingliu was one of those children from poorer families. When Shen Zhixue dropped him off in the morning, they came by public hovercar.

Compared to the young masters and misses who arrived in multi-million dollar luxury cars, children from families like Jiang Xingliu's didn't offer any opportunities for personal gain. Naturally, the teachers didn't waste energy on him.

Shen Zhixue laughed sarcastically. "I'm making a mountain out of a molehill?"

He walked over, grabbed the fallen parent lying on the ground, and slapped the barely conscious parent again. "Today, I'll show you what making a mountain out of a molehill really looks like!"

The parent, tearfully, could only cover their face and wail in distress.

Seeing his father being beaten, the little fatty mustered up the courage, grabbed Shen Zhixue's clothes, and shouted, "Stop hitting my dad! I'll beat you up!!"

Shen Zhixue, who initially didn't want to bother with a child, saw Jiang Xingliu's expression darken. In an instant, Jiang Xingliu pounced on the little fatty, pinned him to the ground, and copied Shen Zhixue’s actions, throwing a punch at the little fatty's face!

"Don't touch him," the child said in a dark tone, raising his hand to punch the little fatty again.

The teacher, slow to react, tried to pull Jiang Xingliu away. But when the boy glared at her with a fierce, almost feral look, she was frozen in place.

The little fatty clung to her skirt, smearing his snot and tears all over her clothes. "Teacher, help me!"

The scene was chaotic, with numerous onlookers.

Someone must have called the police because, soon after, the sound of sirens filled the air. When the police arrived, the little fatty and his father were huddled together on the ground, shaking. Jiang Xingliu and Shen Zhixue sat nearby, and Jiang Xingliu kicked out at them. "Apologize! Will you stop bullying our kid in the future?"

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! It's our fault!" the little fatty's father cried, shaking his head.

It was hard to tell who was bullying whom at that point.

As the police arrived, Shen Zhixue held Jiang Xingliu's hand. Jiang Xingliu pointed at the two people on the ground and declared confidently, "Officer! They were the bullies! It was really scary!"

Shen Zhixue nodded. "Officer, I can confirm that."

The young police officer, speechless at the pair, eventually took everyone to the police station.

When Jiang Huizhou received the call from the police station, he had just finished a video conference. He raised an eyebrow. "Alright, I'll be right over. Thank you."

The young female officer giggled and hung up.

Shen Zhixue saw the young female officer giggling with her colleague about how good the man on the phone had sounded.

Jiang Xingliu, sitting next to Shen Zhixue, held his hand. "Zhi Zhi, did we do something wrong?"

Shen Zhixue replied, "Remember, you must often reflect on yourself. Ask yourself if you really did something wrong. If you didn't, then trust yourself and make sure to get back at those who wronged you!"

Jiang Xingliu nodded and softly asked, "And if I did do something wrong?"

"Impossible," Shen Zhixue said confidently. "I'm the best in the world, and everything I do is right! If you really did something wrong, ask yourself—do I really have to admit it? Can't you just blame someone else?"

    Jiang Xingliu: "..."

It sounded strange, but there was some logic to it.

Just as Jiang Huizhou was being wheeled into the police station by his assistant, he overheard Shen Zhixue's high-minded speech. "Is this why you got detained for brawling?"

Jiang Huizhou entered, and Shen Zhixue caught sight of him, feeling a little embarrassed. He said, "Why are you here... This is ridiculous, they even called the parents."

Jiang Huizhou pressed his lips together and glanced at both of their faces. "Are either of you hurt?"

Shen Zhixue shook his head. "This wimp can't beat me."

Jiang Huizhou gave him a sideways glance. "You look pretty proud of yourself, huh?"

"No," Shen Zhixue, now subdued, lowered his head and admitted, "I was wrong."

Jiang Xingliu looked at Shen Zhixue in shock.

Wait, wasn’t the rule that a real man never admits his mistakes?

Shen Zhixue, still looking down, made eye contact with Jiang Xingliu and winked at him, whispering, "Let’s just get your dad off our backs for now, or we’ll be out on the streets tonight!"

Jiang Xingliu immediately lowered his gaze and said quietly and obediently, "Dad, I was wrong too."

    Jiang Huizhou: "..."

Jiang Huizhou retorted, "I’m crippled, not deaf."

Shen Zhixue shot back, "We’ve thought this through carefully. We were wrong to fight, but shouldn’t he take some responsibility too?"

The surveillance footage from the kindergarten was retrieved, clearly showing the little fat boy throwing stones at Jiang Xingliu. The small child, huddled in the corner, barely able to protect his head, looked utterly pitiful.

The officer, who had initially found Shen Zhixue too aggressive, was now furious after watching the footage. "How could the teachers at the kindergarten let such a young child be bullied like this?"

Shen Zhixue nodded sincerely. "Thank you for understanding a parent's anger!"

"I completely understand. I'm a father myself. If anyone dared to bully my son like this, I would—" The young officer didn't finish his sentence before an older policeman coughed, signaling him to stop talking.

"Alright, we’ve figured out what happened. Even though Mr. Shen threw the first punch, there were reasons behind it. We’ll let it go this time, but don’t do anything rash again. As for you two, you need some anti-bullying education from the police."

The little fat boy's father looked extremely indignant. "Do you have any idea who I am?"

"It doesn’t matter who you are. Imperial law applies to all citizens. Aren’t you one of them?"

The father gritted his teeth and glared angrily at the older officer. "Just you wait."

The older officer, sipping from his thermos, calmly ordered, "Take them away and make them copy the anti-bullying handbook ten times. They’re not leaving until it’s done."

The little fat boy had tears welling up in his eyes, and as Jiang Xingliu passed by him, the boy didn’t even dare to look at him.

After Jiang Huizhou led them out, he finally said, "Let’s go home."
