Chapter 110: Loves Biting Zhi Zhi the Most

Shen Zhixue looked at the anxious waiter and blinked. "Is the rule about no takeout set by your hotel? I didn't see any signs when I came in."

The waiter, with an arrogant look, tilted his head back. "Restaurants as high-end as ours don't offer takeout services. You need to make reservations. You probably don't eat here often, which is why you're unaware of this hidden rule!"

The implication was that Shen Zhixue couldn't afford their meals, and everything about him exuded an air of superiority. "If you can't afford it, then don't eat here. Trying to take leftovers from a high-end restaurant—who does that?"

Jiang Huizhou, sitting in his chair, watched as Shen Zhixue grabbed a plate full of chili peppers and slammed it onto the waiter's head!

"If I can't finish it, should I just leave it here for you to deal with?" Shen Zhixue's voice was cold and terrifying. He had known that some employees might try to rip off customers, but it was rare to see someone this arrogant.

The waiter screamed as chili oil went flying all over him. "Ah! Are you insane?! Do you know how expensive this uniform is? You couldn't afford it even if I sold you! You lowlife—"

Before he could finish, an elderly voice sounded from behind. "What's going on here?"

A white-haired old man, dressed in a well-fitted uniform with a cane in hand, walked in like an elegant count from the Middle Ages.

The waiter, having taken such a big loss, couldn't hold back and was about to start a fight with Shen Zhixue.

Jiang Huizhou raised his eyes and glanced at the fierce-looking waiter.

"You—" The waiter felt a chill down his spine from that glance. Although the man still had a slight smile on his lips, his eyes were filled with cold menace, as if he could snap the waiter's neck at any moment.

"Any issues can be resolved peacefully," the old man said, cleaning up the food on the floor. "Resorting to violence isn't right."

Shen Zhixue pressed his lips together and put away the dish full of chili peppers.

The waiter, frightened by Jiang Huizhou, stepped back and only after a while did he react, grumbling at the old man. "What's this old fool doing here? Get lost, old man! I'm going to teach this omega a lesson today!"

The old man stumbled from the push but quickly steadied with Shen Zhixue's help.

Shen Zhixue raised his arm. When they had arrived from the Empire, Jiang Huizhou had already connected his personal terminal to the Federation's network. Shen Zhixue had just seen the restaurant manager's contact information in the front hall.

The waiter clearly saw Shen Zhixue's action and sneered. "Are you planning to tattle to the restaurant manager? Do you even know who the manager is? He's my uncle! Do you think he'll help you?"

Shen Zhixue chuckled. "No wonder you dare to bite people so recklessly. You've found a big shot to rely on, huh? Think of yourself as a loyal dog to your master?"

The waiter gritted his teeth. "Who are you calling a dog?!"

"You," Shen Zhixue stepped forward. "If your ears are failing you, should I engrave it on your tombstone? Do you really think working as a waiter in a high-end restaurant makes you superior? I paid for these dishes; I can do whatever I want with them. I'd rather take them home to feed the pigs than let you, a fool, profit off them. Haven't you done plenty of selling half-priced customer dishes before? Trying to make money off your betters?"

The waiter, feeling a bit guilty, glanced at the surrounding crowd and shouted, "You're talking nonsense!"

"Oh really? Then why don't you show us your personal terminal?" Shen Zhixue shrugged. "Your transactions must have left records. Maybe you've deleted the evidence, but it doesn't matter. Everything on the Federation's network is automatically uploaded to the data-net—"

The waiter instinctively protected his personal terminal. "The data-net is not something you can just access! What kind of identity do you think you have—"

Shen Zhixue said leisurely, "So scared of being checked? Already wondering if I have the authority to recover data from the network? Did I guess right?"

The old man looked at the untouched dishes on the table and finally spoke. "You haven't touched most of these dishes. Was the food not to your liking?"

Shen Zhixue suddenly remembered he was still supporting the old man and quickly helped him sit down nearby. He then pointed helplessly at Jiang Huizhou, who was watching the scene unfold. "Old sir, I'm out with a friend, but he's got a bit of a problem here."

Shen Zhixue pointed to his head. "So, we kind of ordered too much food. We were planning to take it away. Have you had your meal? Would you like some?"

The waiter rushed forward to stop him. "No! You've already finished eating; you're not allowed to touch the leftovers! That old man looks like a tramp; he's not worthy of eating here!"

Shen Zhixue was both amused and angry. Just as he was about to retort, a group of waiters entered the private room, followed by a middle-aged man in a suit.

The private room wasn't very big, and with so many people crowded inside, the air felt stagnant, which made Shen Zhixue feel uncomfortable.

As soon as the waiter saw the manager, his eyes lit up and he hurried over with a smile. "Uncle, you're here at last! These two guys are bullying me. Quick, help me teach them a lesson and kick them out!"

The manager gave his young nephew a reproachful look. "You're always causing trouble. Isn't it just two customers? We can just get someone to kick them out—"

As he spoke, he turned to Shen Zhixue.

His eyes suddenly widened in shock, and he stood there stunned, like a duck whose neck had just been grabbed.

    Shen Zhixue: "?"

What kind of expression is that?

    "Wei... Wei Jian..."

Shen Zhixue instinctively responded, "First off, my name's not 'Wei,' it's Chu—"

He then clapped a hand over his mouth. "Sorry, that was a reflex."

The waiter tugged at his uncle's sleeve. "Uncle, what are you doing? Why aren't you getting someone to kick them out? And throw that dirty-looking old man out too, he's making the place dirty!"

As usual, he was complaining to his uncle, but he didn't expect to receive a slap across the face.

The force of the slap sent him tumbling to the ground, and he couldn't get up for a while.

"You bastard!" The manager's voice trembled in fear. "Can't you open your eyes and see who this is?!"

Shen Zhixue glanced down at himself and raised his hand. "Wait, I—"

Did they recognize Jiang Huizhou's status as the young Duke?

But according to earlier information, this young Duke was said to have passed away, and because of scars left from battle in his youth, he always appeared in public wearing a mask. No one in the Federation had ever seen his real face.

Because of this, Jiang Huizhou felt emboldened to act so recklessly. Apart from the Fidels, no one had seen the true face of the young Duke.

"This is General Wei Jian!" The manager looked at his nephew with exasperation.

Of all people to provoke, why did it have to be Wei Jian?

The Wei family was one of the three major forces in the federal military. Even the royal family had to show deference to this war hero who had contributed so much to the Federation.

The waiter's eyes widened in disbelief. "Wei Jian?! How is that possible? Wei Jian is a hero who has slain countless enemies. How could he possibly be dressed like this?"

The old man behind Shen Zhixue glanced at his own clothes and sighed. "I just returned from the frontlines, where I was stationed in a remote galaxy for ten years. I didn't have time to keep up with the current trends in the Federation, and the only clothes I have are my battle armors. Sorry if I caused any misunderstanding."

"No, no, not at all!" Both the manager and the waiter were so frightened that they knelt on the ground, not daring to breathe.

Shen Zhixue and Jiang Huizhou exchanged glances.

They hadn't expected to run into Wei Jian here. He held a significant position in the federal military. If they could win him over, Jiang Huizhou's operations in the Federation might become much smoother.

Wei Jian looked at Shen Zhixue and coughed. "This restaurant is owned by my wife, and her cooking is usually excellent. What did you think of the food?"

Shen Zhixue was taken aback but nodded. "The dishes were indeed rich and delicious."

"Good to hear," Wei Jian said, patting Shen Zhixue on the shoulder. "You mentioned treating me to a meal earlier. Is that still on?"

Shen Zhixue nodded. "Help yourself, General Wei. I'll order another round of dishes for you..."

"No need to do that." General Wei waved his hand, sat down on a stool nearby, and immediately began to swiftly clear the dishes on the table with his chopsticks.

He was eating really fast, and you could tell he had a huge appetite. The old general, a veteran of many battles, was still full of vigor. He ate almost eight bowls of rice and most of the dishes in one meal.

Shen Zhixue was dumbfounded, while Jiang Huizhou looked on with interest as he watched the old man.

When General Wei put down his chopsticks, only a few dishes were left, along with some soup and a couple of fancy dessert plates.

Wei Jian hissed and reached for a piece of the strawberry bear cake that looked especially tasty.

Shen Zhixue had been planning to save the dessert for a midnight snack, but the old man was going for the strawberry bear too!

So, he immediately snatched the strawberry bear cake and hugged it.

This dessert was pretty pricey, like eight thousand.

The two of them froze for a moment.

"Wei Jian glanced up at Shen Zhixue. 'What's going on?'"

Shen Zhixue hesitated, then said earnestly, "My friend really likes this dessert."

Wei Jian glanced over at Jiang Huizhou, who was sitting there in his silver mask. "Him?"

"Yes." Shen Zhixue shoved the strawberry bear cake into Jiang Huizhou's arms. "If he doesn't get it, he'll lose his mind. Seriously, he gets crazy and bites people like a wild dog. General Wei, why don't you order some more..."

It's your wife's shop anyway! You don't have to pay for food!

You've already eaten eight hundred thousand worth of dishes, can't I have this eight thousand dessert?!

Jiang Huizhou chuckled as he held the bear cake. "Nonsense, I only bite you."

Wei Jian nodded, stood up, wiped his mouth with a napkin, and said, "It was a pleasure. Young Duke of Feidell, I heard you're about to tie the knot with Princess Sith. When can I expect to drink to your nuptials?"

Jiang Huizhou tilted his head and said, "When would you like to drink, General?"

General Wei gave no clear answer, simply smiling as he turned to leave.

Before leaving, he looked at the manager and the waiter who were still kneeling on the ground. "I believe you won't appear in front of me again, will you?"
