"I hope Lady will trust me more because of this."
With each word, the light in his eyes dimmed.
Seeing him like this, Gao Wenyan felt a mix of emotions, until just before he turned away, her emotions overpowered her rationality.
"Chu Xu."
She grabbed his hand, calling his name.
This was the first time Gao Wenyan called him by his name, causing even Chu Xu to pause.
He turned back and saw Gao Wenyan suddenly step forward, tilting her head to kiss him on the lips.
She gripped Chu Xu's collar, forcing him to lower his head slightly to meet her height.
Both inexperienced, they relied on their most primitive instincts to explore each other's presence.
The initiative gradually fell to Chu Xu. He held Gao Wenyan's hand, intertwining their fingers as she backed against the wall.
