Chapter 87: The School Flower's Arrival

Pu Yu hadn't eaten anything all evening; he had no appetite. But Ning Song still dragged him into the cafeteria to pack two bowls of porridge. By the time they left the cafeteria, the originally quiet campus had started to buzz with activity. Groups of boys began to appear in the rain-soaked night.

The Spring Festival Gala had ended.

Sheng Yan came out earlier than the others and was already seated in his car, waving at Li Qingyuan through the window.

The headlights illuminated the rain like a dense curtain, as the car passed under the lush white elderberry trees. He had received his university offer, released a new song, and probably wouldn't return to school for a while.

Looking at the dark night, Sheng Yan felt that he was truly bidding farewell to his school life.

He actually wanted to ask Ning Song what he thought of his new song. If everything went as planned, this would be the last time Ning Song would hear his new song as one of the first listeners.

Perhaps it was divine mercy that when the car approached the skyway, he actually saw Ning Song.

However, Ning Song was with Pu Yu.

The two stood by the roadside, the headlights illuminating them. Under the black umbrella, they looked like a perfect pair.

Ning Song and Pu Yu were indeed very well-matched.

Ning Song was much shorter than Pu Yu, holding the umbrella slightly high.

"Stop the car," he told the driver.

The car stopped in front of Ning Song and Pu Yu. He rolled down the window, and Ning Song smiled, saying, "I guessed it was your car."

Their school usually didn't allow cars on campus, but Sheng Yan had special permission due to his status.

Sheng Yan smiled and said, "Didn't you two go to the theater?"

"I went, but he didn't. He was getting an IV at the infirmary."

Sheng Yan looked at Pu Yu, "Feeling better?"

    Pu Yu nodded, "Leaving now?"

Sheng Yan replied with a "Hmm": "I need to catch a flight."

"Will you make it in time?"

    "Should be fine."

"Then hurry," Ning Song said, "Drive safely and have a good trip."

Sheng Yan nodded, listening as Ning Song added, "We just listened to your new song outside. It's really good."

Sheng Yan was taken aback and then smiled.

    The car drove past them.

He had only been returning to school recently because of the Spring Festival. The decision to premiere his new song at the school's Spring Festival was part of the company's strategy. They believed the festival's significance among young people was undeniable, and premiering the new album track at school before graduation would achieve a different effect than other venues. However, choosing which song to play was his decision, and he picked a song he wrote for Ning Song.

This song was more subtle, without the jasmine imagery, so Ning Song likely wouldn't realize it was about him.

Ning Song continued walking towards Building No. 1 with Pu Yu until Sheng Yan's car was far away.

When they returned to their dorm, almost everyone he knew on FB was sharing Sheng Yan's new song video, which was everywhere online.

While drinking porridge, he played the video they recorded at the theater on his phone.

Sheng Yan held the floor microphone with more ease than before, the spotlight making him seem born for the stage.

Sheng Yan's musical style had changed noticeably, but the melody was more mature and smooth.

This song was bound to become a hit.

He was genuinely happy for Sheng Yan!

He was a fan of Sheng Yan's career.

Pu Yu also thought Sheng Yan's new song was great.

The arrangement was more sophisticated, and the completion level was very high. Sheng Yan had improved rapidly.

But the song sounded like a love song, and every love song Sheng Yan wrote now seemed inspired by Ning Song.

So every time Ning Song listened to the song, it felt like listening to Sheng Yan's confession.

He sipped his porridge slowly, spoonful by spoonful.

Suddenly, Ning Song stopped listening and put down his phone.

Actually, Ning Song quite enjoyed seeing Pu Yu get jealous.

Pu Yu was a jealous type, with a temperamental personality, often feeling jealous but rarely expressing it.

He found this side of Pu Yu endearing.

But since Pu Yu was sick today, he felt affectionate and didn't want him to feel jealous.

So he stayed with Pu Yu all evening, sleeping beside him.

Pu Yu understood his intentions, hugging him and saying, "Thank you, baby."

It made him want to take off Pu Yu's pajamas right away.

Time always flew by quickly. Ning Song didn't know how others spent their senior year, but his was incredibly busy.

Ning Song had accumulated his points too late. Although his current score was enough to get him into Ian University, it wasn't very secure. May was the Olympiad season, and Ning Song had registered for both math and physics. Pu Yu, with his extensive Olympiad experience, kept urging Ning Song to practice problems throughout the weekends.

Ning Song was already very ambitious, and with Pu Yu pushing him from behind, he barely attended any gatherings. Since Ning Song couldn't play by himself, he also couldn't stand watching Qiao Qiao and others have fun, so he urged them every day in the group chat.

Eventually, they decided to book hotel rooms on weekends and gather everyone together.

If they were going to suffer, they would suffer together.

Everyone came except Li You. With Ning Song and Pu Yu's excellent grades, everyone was happy to study with them. As for Li You, he was always taking private lessons elsewhere and refused to join their large study sessions.

They usually gathered to study together every Saturday and Sunday, eating, drinking, and sleeping there. At first, Ning Song only booked a regular room, but it was spacious enough. Since they spent all day inside, sometimes they needed naps, so some would squeeze onto the big bed while others took the sofa. Ning Song wasn't a peaceful sleeper; once Pu Yu saw him sleeping while hugging Qiao Qiao, he immediately upgraded them to a presidential suite.

The presidential suite had five rooms, and the luxurious setting made Qiao Qiao and others reluctant to leave. The learning atmosphere became very intense.

After the Spring Festival, the weather gradually turned hot, and people started wearing less clothing, especially indoors. Ning Song often wore just shorts and a T-shirt, sometimes even a tank top.

The loose tank top couldn't fully cover his chest, and his sweaty skin made the fabric damp and soft. The two points visible at the sleeve seemed to have turned red. The long transition from late spring to early summer, filled with the warm scent of young boys, formed Pu Yu's most vivid memory of the last semester of high school.

Pu Yu stared at Ning Song, who lay flat on his back, revealing his collarbone and undulating shoulders. His pale arms stretched out and slightly bent, like a world-famous painting that only he could admire.

His desires grew along with the temperature of the summer.

Ning Song woke up from his nap and didn't see Pu Yu. The room was quiet, with only the curtains fluttering in the sea breeze. He had broken a sweat, and his tank top was damp. He lay down to regain his composure.

Pu Yu's backpack was still there, so he must not have gone far. The cool breeze from the window touched his damp back.

He thought it was time to turn on the air conditioning.

Water splashed in the bathroom, and soon Pu Yu emerged.

He was wearing only black boxer briefs, with an obvious bulge. His strong upper body was bare, revealing firm abs.

He hadn't participated in any rugby matches this year, only occasionally playing with former teammates on weekends. Most of the time, he was either working or studying, yet his abs remained perfectly defined!

This made his legs look even longer, truly attractive. If Ning Song didn't know Pu Yu's character, he might suspect he was trying to seduce him.

However, Pu Yu probably didn't know that Ning Song was a leg man.

Seeing Ning Song awake, Pu Yu put on his T-shirt.

Ning Song noticed his own T-shirt hanging over a chair.

Since others were around and could come in at any moment, Pu Yu never slept shirtless in the hotel. Ning Song looked at him in confusion as Pu Yu put on his T-shirt and then lay down, reaching out to hug him.

    He said, "It's so hot."

Pu Yu got up, grabbed the remote control from the drawer, turned on the air conditioning, and hugged him again.

Pu Yu's skin was also damp and unusually warm. Ning Song got up and went to the bathroom.

In the bathroom, he smelled a faint familiar scent.

    It was a bit metallic.

He paused, suddenly realizing something. After using the bathroom, he came out smiling at Pu Yu.

He mentioned how clingy he had been earlier.

Pu Yu had a unique habit: unlike most men who might smoke or lie quietly after pleasure, Pu Yu became more affectionate, preferring close contact.

He climbed onto the bed and pressed against Pu Yu.

Through the soft shorts, they pressed tightly together. After a few moments, they both became energized.

Pu Yu didn't say anything, only caressing his neck.

The room began to cool down, and faint voices of Qiao Qiao and others could be heard outside.

Ning Song lay on top of him, gently rubbing his legs against Pu Yu's.

Pu Yu's body had a faint minty scent, mixed with the heat of the day and a hint of pheromones. Because he had lost some weight, his handsome face now had sharper edges, which Ning Song found incredibly attractive.

Pu Yu turned him over, holding him in his arms and kissing his neck.

The voices in the living room faded, and a gust of wind blew through the window. Ning Song couldn't help laughing and asked, "What did you do in the bathroom?"

Pu Yu didn't answer, only using his fingernails to scrape the culprit under Ning Song's tank top.

    It was all their fault.

    Ning Song fell silent.

    "Baby," Pu Yu called him.

    "Mm."

Suddenly, Pu Yu whispered, "You're beautiful everywhere."

Ning Song turned and kissed him.

Pu Yu truly felt Ning Song was beautiful.

From his toes to his hair, every part of him was beautiful. He used to think he wasn't swayed by beauty and had always secretly looked down on those boys at school who were infatuated with Ning Song's looks.

The almost eighteen-year-old Ning Song was like a ripe peach, very fragrant. His restlessness wasn't much different from any other boy's.

Voices in the living room increased, and Pu Yu slipped his hand into Ning Song's tank top. Ning Song, unable to speak due to Pu Yu's unprecedented action, could only hold his head and kiss his damp hair.

Pu Yu left two bite marks on Ning Song.

Ning Song, using the militarized study management model he learned from Pu Yu, created a very detailed schedule. At half past two in the afternoon, Qiao Qiao and the others were already seated around the table.

Ning Song came out of his room, having changed into a half-sleeved T-shirt.

They studied together in the living room, and soon Pu Yu emerged from his room with a bag on his back.

Qiao Qiao asked, "Brother Yu, are you leaving?"

    Pu Yu nodded.

"He's going to the company," Ning Song said.

After Pu Yu left, Ning Song got up and went back to his room for a moment.

Pu Yu received a photo that Ning Song sent him while he was in the car.

Ning Song wasn’t wearing a vest; he took a picture of the bite mark and sent it to him. His hair was still a bit messy, and his gaze towards the camera had a teasing, challenging look. His face was so exquisite that even his most beautiful figurine couldn't compare.

    Pu Yu saved the photo.

Warm wind blew in through the window, bringing lush greenery into view. High summer was finally arriving. After being blown by the warm wind for a while, Pu Yu’s brows and eyes felt heated.
