Chapter 99 Side Story: Xiang Xiuran

"Dr. Xiang, are you doing this on purpose?" Tang Qing held up her phone to show his social media post, looking at the man before her with amusement. "Just because Mi Yang invited me to his concert, you had to post this?"

In the post, Xiang Xiuran had just updated his status with a photo of his lunch—even going so far as to plate it meticulously.

Caption: "A lifetime of meals together."

No wonder the dishes today had looked unusually pretty and neatly arranged—all for this post.

She could practically see Mi Yang grinding his teeth at the sight of it.

"After all these years, you're still bothered by it?"

Xiang Xiuran fell silent for a long moment before finally admitting, "Yes."

    "I am."

Tang Qing couldn’t help but laugh. "Total jealousy, huh?"

"You took photos with Mi Yang back then, and with Su Chengwen too. Only I didn’t get one." His voice was tinged with resentment. "In the end, all I got was a selfie."

Just thinking about their time on the show made Xiang Xiuran’s frustration flare up again.

That one lousy selfie—it still bugged him.

"Su Chengwen went on three dates with you, Mi Yang had two, and I only got one..."

Tang Qing arched a brow. "So now you’re flexing our relationship just to mess with them?"

Who would’ve thought? The calmest man back then had turned into a full-blown 'my-wife' spammer on social media, making sure everyone knew he had a wife.

The doctor huffed in protest. "I’m not flaunting anything. My posts don’t even show your face."

    "I’m just sharing daily life."

Not wanting to drag this out, Tang Qing got to the point. "So, about Mi Yang’s concert—can I go?"

    "Can you not?"

At her look, Xiang Xiuran pressed his lips thin before caving. "Fine. We’ll go together."

"Mi Yang and I are... cool. He shouldn’t mind."

"Yeah, right!" Tang Qing rolled her eyes.

Even after all these years—after their wedding, after officially becoming husband and wife—Xiang Xiuran still treated Mi Yang like some kind of threat. To him, as long as that guy stayed single, he was still scheming!

Watching his petty antics, Tang Qing’s mind flashed back to three years ago, when Xiang Xiuran had crossed oceans to reach her.

After the show ended, she had become a travel blogger, jet-setting around the world.

At first, all three men had kept in touch—checking in daily, swapping life updates.

That lasted for half a year, until one day, Xiang Xiuran asked where she was staying...

Then he went and quit his job.

Even with everyone begging the genius doctor not to leave, even with a promotion on the line, Xiang Xiuran walked away from it all—just for her.

He turned out to be the perfect travel buddy, with Xiang Xiuran helping carry equipment and plan itineraries. He was willing to accompany Tang Qing through every adventure, experiencing every vista together.

    "What are you thinking about?"

The man, having just cleared the dishes, came to Tang Qing’s side and pulled out an Aisha rose from nowhere—lush and radiant—placing it before her. "This is the most beautiful one that bloomed today."

"After all these years, you're still trying to win me over with this?"

Xiang Xiuran returned to his usual gentle demeanor, reciting his years-old line, "I told you, you will always be my princess."

    Ever since that summer…

My princess, I’ll love you always.

Does this mean each one got an individual ending? 🤔

That’s cute 😍 can’t wait for Mi Yang’s extra with Tang Qing.
