Chapter 112 Not Embarrassing, Especially Adorable

Shen Shiyan shifted his knee from the floor onto the sofa.

“Say it again.” He supported himself with one hand on the sofa, the other hand grabbing the back of Shen Ci’s neck, making him look at him. “Shen Ci, say it again for me.”

Shen Ci had never seen Shen Shiyan like this. His face flushed, and his voice came out low and husky: “I said I’m not leaving...”

His breath was taken away, and his mouth was filled with Shen Shiyan’s familiar yet strange scent.

Shen Ci’s heart raced. This kiss was completely different from his own clumsy, simple brushes against Shen Shiyan’s lips. The soft wet sounds echoed in his head over and over, and his breathing grew erratic. He pushed at the man above him, feeling like he might drown in this long, passionate kiss.

“Does it still hurt?” Shen Shiyan panted, his chest swelling with the nice green-apple scent coming off Shen Ci. His hand slid down from the nape, lightly rubbing his back to ease his breathing.

Shen Ci gasped for air, the corners of his eyes moist with desire. He didn’t get what Shen Shiyan was asking, looking a little dazed.

Shen Shiyan leaned down and kissed the corner of his wet lips again.

His hand continued downward until it reached the base of Shen Ci’s spine, and he pressed gently.

“Right here.” Shen Shiyan pressed his forehead against Shen Ci’s, his voice very soft. “Does it still hurt?”

Shen Ci’s face instantly burned, and the breathing he had just managed to steady was immediately thrown off by Shen Shiyan’s blunt, explicit question.

“A little.” Shen Ci closed his eyes, his voice trailing off softly. “Weren’t you supposed to be out cold that day?”

Shen Shiyan let out a low laugh and kissed his eyelid. “I should have had you locked up in the police station. After a few years with Shen Sicheng, you’ve learned how to drug people.”

Shen Ci didn’t speak, just reached out and swatted Shen Shiyan.

“I never drank that glass of water.” Shen Shiyan pinched his cheek. “Your methods were pretty clumsy. Did you really think I wouldn’t recognize you just because you wore makeup?”

Shen Ci felt embarrassed by his words, turning his head to bury his face in the sofa, but Shen Shiyan pulled him back.

“And besides.” Shen Shiyan pressed close to his ear, his breath landing softly on his earlobe. “If I’d really been unconscious, there wouldn’t have been any reaction.”

As soon as Shen Ci remembered that Shen Shiyan had been awake that day, he wanted to sink into the floor.

“This is so embarrassing.” Shen Ci covered his face with his hands.

Shen Shiyan kissed the back of his hand. “Not embarrassing at all. Especially cute.”

Shen Ci had never actually imagined that Shen Shiyan would like him, and he never thought all the things he’d dreamed about would come true. At this very moment, every nerve, every breath, every heartbeat, and every pulse of Shen Ci’s was under Shen Shiyan’s control—sometimes fast, sometimes slow, agonizing yet sweet.

Especially when he whispered sweet talk. Shen Ci loved hearing that.

“You have no idea how much I wanted to touch you here back then.” Shen Shiyan’s hand covered his hipbone.

Such a slender waist—Shen Shiyan could almost wrap both hands around it.

Amid the dizzying haze, Shen Ci suddenly thought of something. He wrapped his arms around Shen Shiyan’s neck, his beautiful eyes burning as he stared at him and asked, “When did you start liking me?”

Shen Shiyan paused, clearly lost in memory.

“A long time ago.” Shen Shiyan’s eyes shifted. “I can’t even remember exactly how early.”

The past came rushing back like waves crashing ashore, drenching them both.

“Shen Ci.” Shen Shiyan said his name. “Do you remember that night you went to the bar?”

Shen Ci’s heart started pounding again. He nodded and then shook his head. Over the past four years, he had always tried to recall what he had done or said that day, but he had been too drunk, and then what happened with Zhong Yurong the next day—he couldn’t remember anything.

“That night, you sat on my lap, leaned your head on my shoulder, and asked me to like you.”

Shen Shiyan didn’t say it teasingly. He was serious and sincere. He liked this honest Shen Ci, who had offered him his whole sincere heart and love when he was drunk. That made him cherish it deeply.

It was just that this cherishing came four years too late.

But today, he had gotten the chance to cherish this love again.

“Shen Ci, will you like me too?” He asked Shen Ci just like he had that year.

“Didn’t I already... you know... with you... and you’re still asking if I like you...” Shen Ci looked away, mumbling softly.

Shen Shiyan gave a hoarse laugh, then pinched Shen Ci’s chin and kissed him again.

Shen Ci sank into the soft back of the sofa, nowhere to escape. Their breaths mingled once more, the atmosphere hot and heavy.

Tuantuan, totally oblivious to the mood, padded over, sat down beside them, and began licking its paws leisurely.

Shen Shiyan let go, his dark pupils reflecting Shen Ci’s image.

“Why... do you keep kissing me...” Shen Ci couldn’t finish his sentence; his words came out in fragments, his voice very low.

“I’m almost thirty.” Shen Shiyan slowly nibbled on his earlobe. “I can’t help it.”

His breath seeped into Shen Ci’s bones, making him feel like he was melting, dissolving into Shen Shiyan’s breath.

“You’ve been such a tease without realizing it since you were a kid.”

Shen Shiyan playfully slid his hand into the gap between Shen Ci’s leg and the sofa, giving his thigh a good squeeze.

“Remember?” A corner of Shen Shiyan’s mouth curled up. “When you were eleven, you did this to me.”

Shen Ci couldn’t take it anymore. He awkwardly changed the subject: “Aren’t you cold, walking around bare-chested all this time?”

Outside, the rain had stopped at some point, and the temperature indoors was just right. Shen Shiyan stopped teasing him, kissed him once more, then got up from the sofa.

He picked up the clothes from the floor, slung them over his arm, and turned to see Shen Ci already playing with the little cat.

“What’s its name?” Shen Ci touched the cat’s damp nose.

“Tuantuan.” Shen Shiyan looked a little put out, feeling like his affection was being split in half by Tuantuan.

“It’s a little hungry. If you want to move around, you can give it some food. It’s on the master bedroom balcony.” Shen Shiyan headed toward the bathroom.

“Tuantuan, you’re called Tuantuan too.” Shen Ci spoke as if talking to a little kid. He stood up, still holding the cat. “Bro, what are you going to do?”

Shen Shiyan stopped at the bathroom door. “Cold shower.”

Shen Ci carried Tuantuan to the master bedroom doorway, bit his lip, and said, “You don’t have to take one... you could... take care of yourself.”

Shen Shiyan was stunned for a moment, feeling even more heated. “You’re still in pain.”

Shen Ci’s ears burned. He quickly went into the bedroom and closed the door behind him.

He actually wanted it, but his body really wasn’t comfortable. Last time, he had no experience, and he hadn’t prepared anything to ease the discomfort. Plus, he had been nervous that Shen Shiyan would wake up, so he had done it hastily.

As a result, his lower body and waist had been feeling a subtle, persistent ache.

The layout of the bedroom hadn’t changed much either; the only difference was that Shen Shiyan’s bedding had been moved to Shen Ci’s bed.

“Tuantuan.” Shen Ci drew out the name as he walked to the balcony. From a small cabinet, he found cat food, scooped a spoonful into the bowl. “Tuantuan, time to eat.”
