Chapter 070: Wanting
by 长亭剑下Chapter 070: Wanting
Gu Pushu had nothing much to do in the afternoon.
If she were still very busy, she wouldn't have been promoted or trained her subordinates; she just needed to keep a general grip on the direction of things.
But that's fine. However, there were still some tasks that required her supervision.
"Supervisor, this is the latest proposal rushed out by the planning department."
Gu Pushu's assistant, having gotten the news, hurried over to the Gu residence out of breath. She had been there often and knew the place well.
But she didn't expect that this time, the person opening the door would be a stunningly handsome man. Her gossipy instincts kicked in, but she didn't dare make wild guesses about their relationship. Still, this must be the supervisor's husband, the father of her child, right? Only a man with such looks could catch her boss's eye.
"Mm. Wait for me a moment; I'll take it back after I've looked it over." Gu Pushu led her in and glanced at Yin Zhu, who casually poured a glass of water. He was now the man of the house, so hosting guests was normal—nothing beneath him.
The assistant felt a bit scared, sensing that this man was terrifying. She took the glass with both hands and, in a moment of brain heat, said, "Th-thank you, Supervisor's Husband."
Realizing what nonsense she had just blurted out, she lowered her head, cringing so hard she wanted to disappear. How mortifying.
Supervisor's Husband? That title sounded quite like the human term for a supportive spouse. Yin Zhu curled his lips and glanced at Gu Pushu.
"Xiao Ai, just call him Mr. Yin," Gu Pushu said, holding back a laugh. Somehow, Yin Zhu seemed to carry a certain husbandly vibe.
"Yes, Mr. Yin." Xiao Ai nodded and quickly corrected herself.
Yin Zhu gave a slight nod in response and went to tend to the flowers he had brought. They already had buds; they would bloom in a little while.
"Come with me to the study." Gu Pushu could tell that Xiao Ai was very afraid of Yin Zhu, so she led her to the study.
Xiao Ai hurriedly followed, secretly relieved.
In the study.
She was naturally not lacking in boldness and even dared to gossip, asking, "Supervisor, is that Mr. Yin your husband? You two really suit each other."
"Pretty much. We're planning the wedding soon. I'll invite you to the banquet when the time comes." Gu Pushu didn't deny it.
"Great, great!" Xiao Ai nodded happily.
·
That evening, after dinner, Gu Pushu practiced the spell Yin Zhu had taught her.
It was a bit difficult, and she only managed to grasp the basics, but she wasn't in a hurry.
After studying for a while, they watched TV and came across a movie about Nie Xiaoqian—a ghost-human romance.
Gu Pushu stroked her chin and teased, "I feel like I'm now someone with special abilities, almost on par with Ning Caichen."
"I don't think so; there's no comparison," Yin Zhu retorted, dissatisfied. "Their story is a BE, while ours is a HE. I won't let there be a gap in status between us."
"You've really kept up with the times—you even know about BE and HE." Gu Pushu gave him credit for his online surfing skills.
"I learned it while playing on my phone during the day when you were at work," Yin Zhu said, offering rare praise. "Humans aren't bad at inventing new things; this phone can kill time occasionally."
"But playing too much of it is all the same—same old, same old. Venting frustrations has moved online, where the platform is bigger and the victims are more numerous. Hmm, there's a saying that's spot-on: timid in real life, aggressive online. They lack independent thought."
After a few days of playing, Yin Zhu had already lost interest in his phone. When he did open it, it was to watch cooking tutorials or videos on how to care for pregnant women.
As for other videos, watching too many got boring, and the funny ones felt cringey.
"The comment sections you open are all toxic. No wonder sometimes I see you scrolling through a video, and then you spend half an hour reading the comments," Gu Pushu said, exasperated. "A lot of those are deliberately baiting for clicks. Of course, there really are many netizens venting their frustrations online. But if you want to see harmonious comment sections, go watch channels like CCTV News or military sites—they're all united and full of positive energy."
"You guessed it; those are the videos I've been watching lately." Yin Zhu was wealthy and didn't lack money. "I saw a live stream and donated quite a bit. Those are for sponsoring people in need, officially vetted. If anyone tried to scam me, the retribution wouldn't be long in coming."
He didn't really have a concept of money; he had probably spent millions, maybe tens of millions. Naturally, he didn't know he had become famous online under the nickname "Brother Spender," but no one could dig up his information. He only had an account with no avatar, plain and simple—truly doing good deeds without leaving a trace. He also had private messages turned off, so no one could find him.
"You're surprisingly kind-hearted." Gu Pushu chuckled, nestling in his arms. Yin Zhu was feeding her potato chips, and when she felt thirsty, he handed her a carton of milk to drink through a straw. "Weren't you pretty hostile toward humans before? Now you're spending money to help them."
"I never said I was hostile toward humans. Some humans are quite good and deserve recognition; it's just that some are truly detestable." Yin Zhu refused to accept that label.
"Ha, you're reacting so strongly—looks like I hit the nail on the head." Gu Pushu pulled away from his embrace, acting cold. "Get away. You can sleep alone tonight."
Yin Zhu: ...
He knew that, according to what he'd read, a pregnant woman's emotions were always up and down. Being falsely accused was something a man just had to endure.
After washing up, it was time to sleep.
But Gu Pushu couldn't fall asleep no matter what. A strange sense of emptiness filled her. The way Yin Zhu lay beside her was particularly alluring, like a walking aphrodisiac.
She unconsciously moved closer, her hand reaching out to touch his chest. The feel was nice, and she teasingly sparked flames all over.
"You want it?" Yin Zhu understood immediately; he had picked up on her signal of desire.
Actually, outside of the mating season, he was usually free of lust and could hold back. But once Gu Pushu gave the hint, he quickly became eager—it was a natural possessiveness toward a partner, a need to mark and scent.
Since they were open with each other and would spend the rest of their lives together, Gu Pushu wasn't ashamed to admit her psychological needs. "A little bit. Maybe it's the hormonal imbalance in my body making me more desirous."
"Whenever you want, you can tell me anytime." Yin Zhu lifted the blanket, propping himself up on his knees, letting Gu Pushu sit on his abdomen so he wouldn't put pressure on her belly.
"You won't have to exert yourself. I'll do it." He quickly stripped off both their clothes and found the right position.
Gu Pushu: ...
It was the first time she had so directly appreciated a man's body. Yin Zhu's physique was beautiful, and his endowment was extraordinary. She admitted she was completely captivated by his male charm.
But the pleasure of being intimate was kind of addictive. Gu Pushu happily went a few rounds, panting in Yin Zhu's arms as they basked in the afterglow. He wasn't rough, just moving slowly and gently.
The feeling was very tender. She felt dizzy and oddly comfortable.
"Feeling better now? Has the thirst been quenched?" Once aroused, Yin Zhu's desire wasn't easy to quell, but he held back out of concern for Gu Pushu's body.
And staying this gently, still joined without pulling away, feeling the warmth she gave him, was also a nice experience. It seemed his body temperature had risen quite a bit.
"...Not yet. Let me rest for a while." Gu Pushu, curious, let her gaze drift downward. "Come on, show it to me—I want to see what that other treasure looks like."
It was practically a treasure, right? She had been enjoying it quite a bit, and only she could use it, without worrying about gynecological issues or anything.
Yin Zhu was a bit taken aback, but since she wanted to see, he generously showed her. "Are you sure? If it comes out, you'll suffer tonight."
Both were curious about each other's bodies. He had already thoroughly studied Gu Pushu inside and out, and Yin Zhu liked it. He had cleverly found another spot that excited and pleasured her, and the harder he pressed, the more she liked it.
"Don't underestimate me—I can handle it." Gu Pushu refused to back down. Women also don't like hearing the word "can't."
"Alright, your request is granted."
Yin Zhu smiled, unsure where her competitive streak came from.
But then came the middle of the night.
Gu Pushu raised the white flag and couldn't keep going.
"Who was it that said they were so tough?"
"I don't know, but it wasn't me." Gu Pushu’s eyes were already heavy with sleep. "Stop fooling around. I need to sleep."
"Go to sleep."
Yin Zhu was roughly seventy percent satisfied. As for the remaining thirty percent, he could get it later.
He kissed Gu Pushu on the forehead, pulled her close, and they drifted off together.
