Chapter 68
by AdminChapter 68
B Galaxy.
A starship had just landed.
Pang Qiu, the young chubby fellow, was eagerly bouncing around inside the cabin.
Soon, it would be the thrilling rescue mission to save his dad!
The little guy was raring to go, waiting for the planet to descend.
In contrast, the adults exchanged glances, clueless about what excited the child so much.
Upon arriving on Sart Planet, Agent Danjiao immediately logged onto the Star Network to contact another agent.
[My Universe's Number One: I've arrived on Sart Planet. Are you ready?]
[My Universe's Number One: Stretching Little Claws.jpg]
The young agent on the other side replied swiftly.
[Support Club President N Version: It's all set. Father has been engrossed in the person he brought recently. I can slip out secretly through a back alley now.]
[My Universe's Best Support: Perfect!!]
The two Pang Qiu's rapidly finished their communication and then eagerly began their respective tasks.
The young prince was correct in his assumption. With the adjutant away and Father occupied, it would be easy for him to deceive the other attendants.
Slipping away stealthily from there, he embarked on a starship bound for the Sart Planet.
At that moment, Danjiao was being escorted by the group of adults to the preparation area for the Young Cubs' Great Invention Satyr Competition.
The Inter-Zone Joint Finals were imminent, drawing together an assembly of young aliens from across the cosmos.
The Great Deceiver glanced at the young ones in the cub's resting area and hesitantly said, "Child, are you truly confident? The genes of the cubs in this star system are all excellent. If we're not up to the task, it's not too late to back out now."
Danjiao nodded perfunctorily, assuring, "Mhmm, don't worry."
For Little Fat Ball, nothing was more important than rescuing his father at this moment.
As for the contest of young prodigies creating groundbreaking inventions, there was still some time left. He'd discuss it with Huo Nian when they switched back.
"The badge from the Wu Star in the Z Galaxy is hanging on you. People have been observing you along the way," the adult reminded him. "They're probably amazed, knowing that those from the Z Galaxy don't stand a chance."
The little one didn't even bother to look back. "Trust me."
"..." This was the B Galaxy, and they were on Sart Planet.
Seeing the child's distracted state, the adult couldn't tell if he was hopeful or had given up.
All they could do was sigh.
They, too, were part of the Z Galaxy and thought more long-term: A talent like this, whether from Wu Star or the Z Galaxy, might only emerge once in a few hundred years. It was truly a waste for him to compete in this sector.
Danjiao cared not about their thoughts; he focused solely on awaiting Agent Two's message.
His eyes were glued to the notification panel.
The Emperor Star and the Sart Planet were incredibly close, with seamless communication channels. Thus, it didn't take long for Pang Qiu to receive the message that the other had arrived.
After Danjiao ensured his surroundings were safe, he sneaked out of the backyard hole like a tiny hamster.
He moved between buildings with the stealth of a secretive agent.
Then, he reached the agreed-upon location.
They rendezvoused.
The two youngsters carried out their formal second meeting.
If anyone else had seen them, they would have been astounded.
—These were two identical little plump balls.
Aside from subtle facial expressions and differing attire, they were virtually indistinguishable.
Danjiao was still somewhat intrigued upon seeing him again, "Wow, we really do look so alike."
The young prince folded his arms, saying, "No more talking. If I'm late, those attendants will notice."
Danjiao quickly nodded in agreement, "That's right."
Their brief encounter was efficient, for they had already coordinated through communication devices.
Neither of them could afford to waste time. After their eyes met, they exchanged a knowing glance and slapped hands like spies before turning away.
Danjiao's original hope was – upon returning, to escape Demon City with parkour and find his father. Judging from Huo Nian's casual departure, this plan seemed feasible.
Until he actually arrived.
- He was caught.
Caught by an entire sphere.
Reverting one hour back in time.
The icy-cool Danjiao agent had just completed his handover with his team and, with aloof charm, boarded the spacecraft bound for Emperor Star.
He strode coldly along a hidden path back to Demon City.
The familiar Demon City.
The recognizable scenery.
This time, however, he was here on a mission to conquer Emperor Star and find his father.
Before he could even maintain his cool for ten minutes, he was caught by a servant rushing over.
The servant's voice betrayed his urgency: "Why have you run off here, Young Master?"
Danjiao was caught red-handed: "Huh?"
The servant finally wiped away his cold sweat: "His Majesty is looking for you."
Having said that, he hastily dragged him to an imposing skyscraper.
Danjiao: "Wait—"
Danjiao's heart was trembling.
Horrible Uncle Emperor? ?
Didn't he say he was supposed to be clingy with Agent Two's prospective stepmother and thus too busy?
Yet, Pang Qiu's words had already vanished into the breeze.
He has already been taken by the apprehensive servants to meet His Majesty's uncle, due to the emperor's formidable authority.
NO!!
Complaints were futile; the ball was entirely carried into the Interstellar Building.
The formidable Sovereign Uncle sat paramount on his throne, surrounded solely by a few attendants.
The other party was studying him with a subtle expression.
The Emperor beckoned at him with a crooked finger, "Huo Nian, come here."
The gesture was as if he was teasing and inviting a small creature.
Danjiao: !
Damn it, Danjiao isn't a puppy!
Little Pang Qiu had initially wanted to glare at him hostilely, but he was different now. He was a spy and had to suppress his emotions, reluctantly walking over.
With his short legs, Little Pang Qiu took a few quick steps forward.
The terrifying Emperor picked him up as if he were a chick, examining him from head to toe.
His expression was rather peculiar.
Pang Qiu found himself suspended in mid-air in an instant.
Danjiao wriggled wildly on Pang Qiu's body, "Ah, don't squeeze my neck!"
The neck of a cub was particularly vulnerable, especially for someone like Danjiao with high genetic levels. They were innately sensitive and cautious about having this area suppressed.
Not to mention that the person doing the squeezing exuded an intimidating presence that even adults would fear.
His Majesty rubbed his knuckles with his other hand, "Two years and six months."
Danjiao was puzzled, "Hm?"
There was a novelty in His Majesty's tone, "Let me hear you say it twice."
Danjiao: Damn it! Danjiao is not a puppy!
"Why?"
The ominous uncle smiled, "I just want to hear it, it sounds amusing."
Danjiao: "..."
Huo Nian truly had it rough, having a father who treated his child like a puppy.
Fortunately, he wasn't his real father.
The emperor smiled. "I've been with your father for two and a half years."
There hadn't even been any mention of family rules to abide by.
Danjiao: ?
"Hmm."
Little Pang Qiu honestly didn't understand why the other party would suddenly bring this up. Could it be that he wanted to discuss parent-child relationships with Huo Nian?
The terrifying expression of the horrifying Uncle Emperor became even more frightening.
Even the mischievous Danjiao, who usually enjoyed stirring things up, felt a little scared and couldn't help but shrink his neck.
Of course, Huo Jin wouldn't reveal his thoughts to him.
He simply studied him in silence.
In these past two years, this was the only cub who had remained by his queen's side.
At this thought, his dark irises deepened, and he exerted more force in his grip.
"Pang Qiu!" the little cub wailed mid-air. "You're hurting me!"
The little cub nipped at him, then seized the opportunity to wriggle free and tumble down.
His hand was left with a row of tiny tooth marks.
However, his personality resembled Lu Wei's, which was the only redeeming quality to him.
In the blink of an eye, this child had grown up under Lu Wei's care. But he had no idea how he managed to raise him and had never been involved in the process.
After biting him, Little Pang Qiu felt a bit guilty. "Father, I only bit you because you hurt me too much."
Then, he heard the other's uniquely sarcastic tone.
The imperial uncle gave an ambiguous response, "Oh."
Huo Jin's gaze faintly swept over the familiar-looking sphere.
He had long heard that the Z-star system intended to send someone over for him, and after investigation, he discovered it was someone with a child.
Now, that person turned out to be Lu Wei.
So, who could that child possibly belong to?
Who else but him could make Lu Wei carry a pregnancy?
Only he could impregnate Lu Wei.
Lu Wei's child could only be his offspring.
A corner of Huo Jin's lips lifted.
That meant Lu Wei had initially been carrying twins.
Confirming the most probable yet least believable assumption he had.
Twins.
One large, two small.
Crafted from the hardest material across the entire Emperor Star, the birthing capsule ensured Lu Wei's safe delivery. After the birth of one offspring, it automatically signaled the completion of labor, only to proceed with the delivery upon detecting the existence of twins.
And then, the capsule descended to an alien planet with its precious cargo, a parent and a child.
Not just on Earth, there was another of his offspring in an alien world.
Seeing that Huo Jin remained silent, the courageous Pang Qiu asked, "Daddy, what's wrong?"
Huo Jin replied nonchalantly, "It doesn't resemble."
Danjiao inquired, "What doesn't resemble, huh?"
The intimidating uncle narrowed his eyes slightly and casually responded to him as if he were talking to a puppy.
Thoughts were swirling within him.
There was nothing inherently wrong with twins, but the issue was that both resembled him save for their eyes, which didn't resemble Lu Wei's at all.
Tsk.
The Emperor said lazily, "Your good times are over."
Danjiao: ???
This damned Uncle Emperor seemed to be speaking directly to him rather than to Huo Nian. It felt unsettling, even though he didn't understand the meaning behind it.
Danjiao silently told himself that he wouldn't allow it.
He was Daddy's precious baby. They had relied on each other since they were alone in the world, and Daddy would always protect him, never letting him come to harm.
Danjiao harrumphed inwardly but didn't show it.
After all, this was his mission as a young agent.
Main Mission: Investigate his and Huo Nian's identities (without allowing Uncle the Emperor to harm Father)
Side Mission: Try to keep Father away from Uncle the Emperor.
This side mission was self-assigned.
Although Uncle the Emperor was willing to take him bug hunting, he was still terrifying most of the time, always fierce and grabbing him by the neck.
Little Pang Qiu was oblivious to the fact that his agent identity had been exposed; he was still focused on planning his missions.
Looking up, he saw the ominous uncle looking at him with keen interest.
"Having fun with your antics?"
Little Pang Qiu felt a bit uneasy, sensing that the intimidating Uncle the Emperor was hinting at something, but could only reply, "Mm-hmm."
The ominous uncle pinched the back of his neck, leaving it feeling cold: "Good, as long as you're having fun."
Huo Jin restrained the slightest hint of a smile from his lips.
These two youngsters wanted to play.
Very well, he would oblige.
