Chapter 41 Dad, I Miss You So Much~
byChapter 41: Daddy, You You Misses You So Much~
"Let me see what's inside!" Shen Lin teased, craning his neck to peek into the little backpack.
Su Youli immediately shielded it. "Second Brother can't look!"
Shen Lin instantly feigned hurt, rubbing his eyes as if about to cry. "You You doesn't love Second Brother anymore!"
Seeing his second brother upset, the little one grew anxious, patting Shen Lin's head with his small hand. "Second Brother, don't cry."
"Then show me what treasure's in your backpack!" Shen Lin exclaimed.
The little one blinked, his small hands clutching the edge of his backpack—these were gifts for Kun Kun and his little daddy.
"They're presents for my daddies," the little one announced.
Shen Minyan, sitting in front of the little one, had had enough. He turned and gave Shen Lin a light tap on the head.
"Ouch!" Shen Lin cried, clutching his head.
Shen Yan and Tang Dou chuckled as the car slowly pulled out of the residential area, the atmosphere warm and cozy.
Halfway through the drive, Su Youli couldn't resist leaning his head against Shen Lin, drowsiness clouding his eyes.
"What's in You You's backpack?" Shen Yan was curious too, leaning in to whisper to Tang Dou.
Tang Dou smiled, her eyes crinkling as she recalled the little one's gift. "Nothing much, just the blueberry tarts he snuck this morning."
The Shen family's chef was excellent, and their desserts were crafted by a dedicated pastry chef.
The little one had devoured two blueberry tarts and found them utterly delicious.
There were eight in total; he ate two, leaving six.
Shen Lin ate two. Shen Yan hadn't eaten any because he was filming late last night, and Shen Minyan didn't care for sweets.
So, the little one stealthily tucked four tarts into his pocket.
Tang Dou witnessed this scene when she arrived for work: the little one successfully hiding the tarts, then patting his pocket with a small hand.
He looked incredibly pleased, oblivious that the scent of the tarts had already betrayed him.
In the end, the butler, worried the tarts would spoil in the young master's pocket, specially found a box and personally helped place them into the little one's backpack.
Su Youli, all set with gifts for his daddies, was overjoyed. He said in a sweet, soft voice, "Thank you, Grandpa Butler."
So it was tarts, Shen Yan thought, finding it amusing.
Not just tarts, the little one's backpack also held many other small treasures: pretty leaves he'd found in the garden, his favorite little toys—all things he wanted to give to his daddies.
They arrived at the airport just in time; the plane was due to land in a few minutes.
Sunlight streamed through the tall, floor-to-ceiling windows, illuminating the bustling airport hall.
Passengers hurried by, while Su Youli, held by his eldest brother, who wore a hat and mask, had his eyes wide and round.
Shen Lin held up a sign welcoming Qin Kun and Su Siwen.
The entire family, tall, long-legged, and exuding an impressive aura, drew the attention of passersby.
The man standing in the center was older, with slicked-back black hair that revealed sharp eyes and brows, commanding respect without uttering a word.
The teenager holding the sign was clearly his son, standing tall and straight, wearing limited-edition brand sneakers, his high nose bridge giving him a distinctly cool demeanor.
But the most captivating was the small child being held.
The man holding him was very tall, elevating the small child to a prominent height.
He looked about two or three years old, with rosy lips and fair skin, like a New Year's painting doll that brings joy when hung on the wall.
The baby fat on his cheeks was soft and plump, like a jiggling pudding.
What surprised passersby was that such a young child didn't cry or fuss at all, obediently held in the adult's arms, his large, cat-like eyes fixed intently on the passenger exit.
Su Youli was completely oblivious to the comments about him; now, the little one's heart was solely focused on his two daddies.
"That child is so good-looking, with such long eyelashes!"
"Their genes are incredible!"
The passersby's words reached Shen Minyan, whose ears twitched slightly, and the corner of his mouth lifted almost imperceptibly.
"You You, let me hold you."
Su Youli didn't even turn to look at his dad, his head unmoving, but he leaned into a pair of large hands that took him.
During their time together, Su Youli was no longer as afraid of Shen Minyan as he once was, so he didn't resist when picked up.
The soft little one was snatched away, and Shen Yan's expression under his sunglasses was far from pleased; if there weren't so many people around and he wasn't afraid of being recognized by fans, he would have taken You You back.
The little one's eyes were bright, completely ignoring the surrounding noise, his mind solely on waiting for his daddies.
"Daddy—"
Soon, with the little one's clear and cheerful voice, everyone's gaze followed.
The little one, held by his dad, saw Qin Kun and Su Siwen in the crowd and immediately began to wriggle, wanting to get down from Shen Minyan.
Shen Minyan, nudged by his soft arms, had to put him down.
As soon as his feet touched the ground, the little one dashed forward, calling out for daddy loudly as he ran.
Qin Kun and Su Siwen saw their long-missed son as soon as they approached, watching the little one toddle toward them.
Su Siwen dropped everything, handing his bag to Qin Kun, and ran toward the little one.
The airport was crowded, but fortunately, Su Youli's short limbs meant that even his full-force running kept him within Shen Minyan's protective range.
Su Siwen crouched down, arms open, and a little bundle of joy rushed into his embrace.
The little one had run eagerly, his face flushed, his hair slightly damp with sweat.
"Daddy, I missed you so much!" The little one happily nuzzled his nose against Su Siwen's chest, eager to tell his daddy how much he had missed him.
Su Siwen stroked the little one's soft hair, his heart melting. "Daddy missed you so much too! Let me see if you've grown taller recently!"
The little one puffed out his chest, standing in front of daddy with round eyes, even secretly rising on his tiptoes to appear taller.
Su Siwen pretended not to notice, pinching his exposed little arm, fulfilling the little one's wish. "You really have grown a bit taller!"
Su Siwen's exaggerated tone delighted Su Youli.
The little one reached out to hug his arm. When Su Siwen tried to pick him up, the little one looked worriedly at his father's knee.
"Daddy, You You can walk by himself."
Su Siwen took out baby wipes from his pocket, held him with one arm, and used his free hand to wipe the sweat from the little one's forehead.
"It's okay, my leg hasn't been hurting lately."
Su Youli was a very easygoing child, but he was still too young. In the past, Su Siwen and Qin Kun would never let him out of their sight.
Even with a low-maintenance child like Su Youli, it still required a lot of energy.
Over the past half month, with Su Youli in Beicheng, Su Siwen and Qin Kun had ample time to rest.
They visited an old traditional Chinese medicine clinic in town, and after ten days of recuperation, his physical condition had finally improved compared to before.
