Chapter 126 Filming the Promo
byChapter 126 Filming the Promotional Video
Everyone enjoyed a hearty lunch together, creating a warm and joyful scene.
Su Youli, still a bit under the weather, was spoon-fed by his father, bite by bite. Though he tried his best to prove he could eat on his own, his father insisted on feeding him.
Knowing that his father had prepared the fish today, the little one ate with extra relish.
When Shen Minyan got up to fetch water for him, the little one sidled up to Brother Qiqi and whispered, "Brother Qiqi, my dad knows how to clean fish. He cleaned all these fish."
Pei Qiqi was very supportive, nodding and saying, "Uncle Shen is truly amazing."
Hearing his good friend praise his father, Su Youli’s little feet wiggled happily in the air.
After lunch, the children were organized to go for a walk outside the villa. Su Youli, however, held his father’s hand and walked inside the villa.
Half an hour later, the little one, having mostly digested his meal, yawned, his eyes glistening with sleepy tears. He lifted his head and stretched out his arms toward his father.
By the time Shen Minyan picked him up, the little one was already asleep, his head resting on his father’s shoulder.
While the little one was sound asleep, doctors from the medical team came by again to check Su Youli’s physical condition.
Apart from his height not meeting growth standards, the little one’s other indicators were all normal. He was a very healthy young child and was recovering quickly.
A moment later, the doctor packed up the medical kit. Shen Minyan asked anxiously, "How is he?"
"He's pretty much all better now. You should get some rest soon too."
The doctor felt that the exhausted-looking Shen Minyan was the one who truly needed to rest.
Reassured by the doctor’s confirmation, Shen Minyan relaxed. After seeing the doctor out, he washed up and went to bed to take a nap with his son.
The island noon sun was brilliant, with clear skies and not a cloud in sight. Outside the window, crashing waves and the endless ocean stretched as far as the eye could see.
Half-asleep, Shen Minyan heard the little one’s sleepy murmurs.
He instinctively sat upright and hurriedly looked down at the little one beside him.
The little one was sleeping peacefully, his small fists clenched and resting beside his face, his lips pouted as he murmured something.
Shen Minyan leaned in, bringing his ear closer.
"Daddy... miss Daddy~"
Shen Minyan realized the little one was calling not for him, but for Qin Kun and Su Siwen.

In the afternoon, A Ming and the others, rested and refreshed, gathered at the villa on time.
The earlier interview had gone well, and the Haicheng city government had contacted the production team. The two parties agreed to collaborate to film a promotional video for the island.
The children’s task was simple: they just needed to play on the beach. The adults, however, had more complex assignments.
Du Ze and Mi Huan needed to get into the water to film the island’s unique diving activities, while Hua Zhao had to work with the local young women to make traditional dresses.
As for Shen Minyan, his task was to watch over Su Youli.
No one dared to assign him any other task, and the little one, who had just recovered from his illness, was still very clingy. If his father left him even for a moment, he couldn’t concentrate on playing and would constantly turn around to check if his father was still there.
After the children gathered, the makeup artists got to work, outfitting the children in cute clothes and giving them light makeup.
"The four of you are here as tourists visiting the island. When we film you looking at the ocean later, you guys make sure to smile, okay? It’d be even better if you could say something..."
The ‘Treasure Hunting Team’ sat in a row, listening to Director Uncle explain the ‘script.’ They were pretty clueless and didn’t really understand.
Shooting a promotional video was different from filming a reality variety show. Variety shows were about recording reality, while promotional videos were more like ad filming, with a bit of a ‘script’ involved.
The director patiently explained several times, teaching the children how to position themselves and how to express themselves. But when he turned around, the four little ones were already slouching and leaning, their attention completely captured by the makeup artist’s kit.
"Big Sister, what’s this?"
"It’s foundation. I’ll put some on you first..."
"What’s foundation?"
The makeup artist looked up and met four pairs of bright, curious eyes, seeing the children’s fascination with something new.
"Big Sister, what’s this? It’s so pretty~" Niu Niu pointed at a palette of sparkly eyeshadow.
The makeup artist opened the palette and handed it to her. "This is an eyeshadow palette. Which color do you like? I can try some on you."
Niu Niu shyly pointed to the pink eyeshadow.
With the other parents absent, the task of getting the three boys changed naturally fell to Shen Minyan.
The three children were very well-behaved. Even Mi Le, normally energetic when his brother wasn’t around, was exceptionally obedient and quickly got changed by himself.
"Daddy!" The little one put on a shirt with a green banana pattern, a small black and white crossbody pouch slung across his chest, and a pair of black shorts that cut off just above his knees, making his outfit look even more playful and lively.
Shen Minyan scooped him onto his lap and placed a small straw hat on his head.
The little one chuckled, jumped down from his father’s lap, and ran to the mirror to admire himself.
The accompanying photographer, Da Mo, followed closely, snapping photos of the little one from every angle.
Mi Le and Qiqi also changed into different patterned floral shirts and shorts. As soon as they stepped out of the changing room, they were surrounded by the crew members, who eagerly took photos.
Mi Le confidently struck all sorts of poses—jumping stylishly, swaying his hips, popping his butt out, or forming a hand pistol under his chin.
In contrast, Pei Qiqi beside him seemed much more reserved.
The production team knew the children’s personalities well and were aware that Pei Qiqi was a serious little guy who didn't smile much.
But the more reserved he was, the more they wanted to tease him, showering him with compliments.
"Qiqi, you look so handsome today! You’re the most handsome little boy Auntie has ever seen!"
Pei Qiqi’s accompanying director exaggerated both her tone and expression, speaking loudly.
Pei Qiqi pursed his lips tightly and, after a long pause, squeezed out a "Thank you" through his teeth.
Immediately, a flood of compliments rained down on him, overwhelming him.
Surrounded by a dozen staff members, Pei Qiqi’s ears turned bright red, and his usually pale cheeks flushed with a rosy glow.
He pressed closely against Youyou, feeling as if he were floating from all the praise.
Although everyone was talking to him, they avoided excessive physical contact.
Pei Yi and Hua Zhao had already communicated with the production team beforehand. Qiqi had encountered some unpleasant people and situations in kindergarten and could sometimes have stress reactions to intense language or violent behavior.
Fortunately, after a period of treatment, Qiqi’s condition had improved significantly.
A soft little fist suddenly slipped into his cold hand. Pei Qiqi blinked and saw Youyou tilting his head and smiling at him.
The little one’s chubby cheeks, full of baby fat, made him look a bit like a sticky rice ball when he smiled.
