Chapter 34: Two People
byChapter 34 The Two of Them
The students of Yasa Academy were all children of nobles, so the school infirmary didn't dare to delay. Although they were confused about where they were going, they still rushed over quickly.
Cai Gu held the groggy Yue Jin in his arms, his face etched with worry as he waited for the ambulance to arrive.
Fortunately, it didn't take long for the infirmary staff to show up. Seeing the cramped security booth and Cai Gu holding Yue Jin tightly, they didn't dare say anything.
Keeping their heads down, they tried to take Yue Jin from Cai Gu's arms, but the lily-scented pheromones tightly enveloped the dazed and confused Cai Gu, aggressively assaulting the medical staff.
The medical staff's faces went pale, and they said cautiously, "Young Master Yue doesn't seem to want us to get close."
Cai Gu was already worried about Yue Jin's health. Hearing that he wouldn't let the medical staff approach, he grew angry. He put on a stern face and patted Yue Jin's head, making a crisp sound: "Behave!"
The medical staff watched Cai Gu's actions nervously, afraid he might anger Yue Jin.
Cai Gu's move worked. Yue Jin in his arms didn't dare release any more pheromones. He hugged Cai Gu pitifully: "Mom, it hurts."
Taking advantage of his muddled state, Cai Gu signaled the medical staff to approach. They braced themselves to support Yue Jin, sensing his resistance but preparing to flee at any moment.
With Cai Gu by his side, Yue Jin forced down his resistance, took Cai Gu's hand, and allowed the medical staff to lead him onto the campus ambulance.
The medical staff didn't expect it to go so smoothly. They looked at Cai Gu gratefully, wishing they could poach him from the security team to use as a mascot when dealing with Alphas in heat.
Cai Gu was led the entire way. When they arrived at the infirmary, Yue Jin refused to let go of him, so he had to sit sideways on the edge of the hospital bed, gently stroking Yue Jin's hair from time to time.
The doctor took a blood sample for testing. Only the two of them remained in the room. If Yue Jin's condition worsened, he would need to be transferred to an off-campus hospital.
Outside, the rain was getting heavier. Cai Gu rested his chin on his hand, gazing into the distance. Students were still playing soccer on the field, and he worried they might fall.
While Cai Gu was daydreaming, his phone vibrated softly. Afraid of waking Yue Jin, he stepped out into the hallway to answer.
Cai Gu placed his hand on the window glass, his silhouette reflected in it: jet-black hair draped over his shoulders, broad shoulders and a narrow waist, sturdy legs, and trousers outlining the shape of his buttocks.
The team leader's voice came through vaguely: "Cai Gu, don't forget to clear the training ground tomorrow. Also, students start class at nine-thirty, so unlock the doors five minutes early. They finish at eleven-fifty, and remember to lock the east gate at twelve-thirty."
Fearing he might forget, Cai Gu repeated the times as he wrote them down on a sticky note.
Cai Gu nodded with a hum. He smiled with curved brows: "I know. You get some rest too..."
Before he could finish, a voice came from behind him, startling him into hanging up immediately.
"What are you doing here?"
Cai Gu turned around in disbelief. Seeing Jiang Yu's figure, his vision went dark. He bit his lower lip, frantically searching for an excuse: "I... my husband is injured, so I came to take care of him."
Jiang Yu sat in a wheelchair, squinting suspiciously: "Oh? The security captain can come to the school infirmary too?"
Jiang Yu's sudden appearance made Cai Gu so anxious that sweat broke out on his forehead. He remembered he couldn't reveal to Jiang Yu that he was a security guard.
He bit his lower lip and instinctively retorted: "What are you doing here?"
Jiang Yu fell silent instantly, the fire in the young man before him extinguishing again. He covered his mouth guiltily. He had a training session tomorrow and needed to get his cast removed.
He had been faking a limp these past few days, and the coach had long been annoyed with him. If he missed another training session, the coach would probably kick him.
Both of them looked at each other guiltily, neither moving.
Finally, Jiang Yu, with a thicker skin, lifted his chin and said matter-of-factly: "It's all because of you. My foot is injured, and I still have to go to the training ground tomorrow. I have to get a shot of a forced recovery agent."
Cai Gu was completely fooled. He stared with wide, round eyes, fully believing his nonsense.
The young man before him sat in a wheelchair, dark circles under his eyes stark against his pale skin. Cai Gu's fingertips lightly traced over them, and he said with concern: "Has studying been very tiring these past few days? Is the forced recovery agent bad for your body?"
Jiang Yu enjoyed Cai Gu's care without any hesitation. He was like a dog, chasing after Cai Gu's hand with his own: "Yeah, definitely."
His eyes flickered. Since Cai Gu was at the infirmary, he must be staying the night to accompany his husband.
Jiang Yu rubbed his face against Cai Gu's hand and asked casually, "Which ward is your husband in?"
Cai Gu dared not say, but Jiang Yu squinted his red eyes and threatened with a hum, making Cai Gu shrink his shoulders and point weakly at the ward next door.
Having gotten the ward location, Jiang Yu snapped his fingers. He still held a form in his hand, smirking at Cai Gu: "Push me to see the doctor."
Cai Gu could never be tough in front of Jiang Yu. He sighed and obediently pushed Jiang Yu to the doctor.
They saw the same doctor who had treated Jiang Yu's leg injury before. Seeing them arrive, the doctor's heart sank with a bad feeling, but he kept his expression unchanged and respectfully asked Jiang Yu: "Young Master Jiang, is there a problem with your leg?"
Seeing the doctor so cooperative, Jiang Yu nodded approvingly. He spoke first: "I have a training session tomorrow and need an injection of a forced recovery agent. Give me one."
The pen in the doctor's hand fell onto the table with a clatter. Always eager to help, Cai Gu picked it up for him. When he returned it, his warm fingers brushed against the doctor's, making the doctor's mind wander.
Cai Gu bent over. His thin shirt couldn't contain his full chest, which seemed about to burst out. The doctor could even see the cleavage between his pectoral muscles.
Just as he wanted to look again, Jiang Yu suddenly leaned in, squinting and glaring at the doctor threateningly.
The doctor quickly looked away. He muttered to himself: "A forced recovery agent... yes, there is such a thing. I'll go get it now..."
Under the gaze of Cai Gu and Jiang Yu, the doctor found a vial of suppressant with a dead heart. Fortunately, Cai Gu didn't recognize the packaging.
Seeing the sharp needle, Cai Gu's eyelids twitched. He quickly covered Jiang Yu's eyes. A faint fragrance drifted over. Before Jiang Yu could enjoy his body, a sharp pain shot through his arm. If not for Cai Gu being there, Jiang Yu would have jumped off the bed in pain.
Cai Gu saw his face turn pale and was filled with worry: "Will he be fine after this injection?"
The doctor put on the best performance of his life. He nodded with a deadpan expression: "Yes, but it will only last for a while."
Jiang Yu nodded in satisfaction. He raised an eyebrow at the doctor: "Arrange a ward for me. I want to rest well tonight."
Jiang Yu pointed maliciously at the ward where Cai Gu's husband was: "I'll sleep there tonight."
He turned to Cai Gu and said, "Wait outside for me. I still need to get the cast removed. Go wait outside."
Cai Gu was actually curious about how the cast was removed, but he had something more important to do. He pretended to be calm, stepped out, and quickly ran back into the ward.
The ward had two beds separated by a curtain. Yue Jin happened to be sleeping in the outermost bed. Without hesitation, Cai Gu picked him up and moved him to the innermost bed.
After all the commotion, Yue Jin's head was in a daze. He opened his eyes hazily and tried to make a sound, but Cai Gu covered his mouth: "Shh, be good. Get some sleep."
"Cough, cough, cough, cough..."
Jiang Yu deliberately raised his voice from outside the curtain, startling Cai Gu into checking on Yue Jin. Luckily, he wasn't woken up. Cai Gu patted his chest to comfort him, then hurried back out.
Jiang Yu sat on the bed, curiously looking at the bed inside the curtain. He knew that inside lay Cai Gu's husband—the lowly Beta and security captain.
When Cai Gu reached the bedside, Jiang Yu craftily grabbed his hand. Before Cai Gu could make a sound, Jiang Yu covered his mouth and pinned him down on the bed.
The hospital beds at the Noble Academy were unbelievably soft. Cai Gu felt as if he were lying on a cloud.
The young man's hot body pressed against him, wickedly biting Cai Gu's earlobe and whispering in his ear, "My tooth hurts. What should I do? Hmm? Help me?"
Cai Gu's strength was no match for the young man's, and on top of that, he was cautious, worried about hurting his leg.
The fabric was torn, revealing his tan skin. Jiang Yu stared at his pecs, completely dumbfounded. Just as he was about to get closer, Cai Gu stopped him with his hand and said quietly and quickly, "You clearly promised me... only if you get first place... then you can... lick..."
Jiang Yu clicked his tongue in disappointment—it was true. Actually, Jiang Yu could have forced Cai Gu, but he didn't want to do that.
After all, even a rabbit will bite when cornered, especially one this big—it could send him flying.
Jiang Yu pressed down on Cai Gu's body, turned him over, then buried his face in the crook of his neck, licking the long-degenerated, shriveled gland.
Cai Gu's shirt draped over his shoulders; he could feel Jiang Yu nuzzling the back of his neck like a little puppy.
At first, Cai Gu worried that he might do something in the hospital room, but soon he realized he was overthinking it. The young man behind him had no idea how to bite a gland; he only knew how to lick.
No wonder he did so poorly in physiology class. Cai Gu lay on the bed listlessly, his mind a mess. Suddenly he felt he didn't need to worry so much—given his current situation, there was no way he would get first place, so he wouldn't need to reward him.
On the other hand, Cai Gu was especially worried, afraid that after working so hard this time, if he still didn't do well, he would definitely be heartbroken.
Just as Cai Gu was dozing off, a muffled groan came from inside the curtain. Both Cai Gu and Jiang Yu, lying on the bed, froze.
"Mom... Mom..." A hoarse voice came from behind the curtain. Jiang Yu cocked his ear and commented unceremoniously, "Sounds like a drake. My voice is much better."
Jiang Yu raised his chin triumphantly.
Cai Gu didn't know how to respond. Yue Jin, who still hadn't noticed him, actually got out of bed and walked straight toward their hospital bed.
Cai Gu's heart pounded like thunder. He rolled over quickly, stuffed Jiang Yu under the covers, then looked up to meet Yue Jin's gaze as he barged in.
