    Chapter 9 Clash

The brief clash made Ji Jing realize the man's formidable strength—both in skill and power, likely surpassing his own.

But demons are always cunning and devious.

In the instant the laser gun was snatched back, he feigned a grab toward the man’s crotch but instead leaned sideways, his slender fingers reaching directly for the man’s black boots and pulling out a sharp military knife.

As the man blocked the hand that seemed ready to grope, he couldn't help but be startled, truly shocked by the little Omega before him.

No matter how astonished he was, his body reacted instinctively to Ji Jing's attack.

Every move, every strike, increasingly alarmed the man. The Omega he thought was weak and soft was actually stronger than many of the Alphas he had encountered.

Not only was he powerful, but also shameless, often aiming low.

If it were a less capable Alpha, they would already be rolling on the ground clutching their groin.

Could this be the confidence that allowed him to venture alone into the underground city?

They didn’t fight for long because once Ji Jing sensed no hostility from the man, he eased off his attacks.

After a moment, their clash ended, with the man tightly gripping one of Ji Jing's wrists, pinning him against his chest.

If one could ignore the weapons in their hands, the position would seem rather intimate.

However, Ji Jing's military knife pressed against the man's neck, while the man's laser gun pointed at Ji Jing's temple.

With a slight pressure on the knife, a bloodline appeared on the man's neck. He frowned slightly, but the laser gun remained unmoved, even the safety wasn't released.

Ji Jing stepped on the man's boot and ground it down, taking advantage of the man's pain to break free from his grasp.

Of course, this was based on the fact that the man had no intention of harming him.

After putting some distance between them, Ji Jing played with the military knife in his hand and smiled, declaring its ownership.

    "Nice knife, it's mine now."

The man frowned slightly and coldly said, "Give me the knife back."

Ji Jing retreated two steps, grinning, and glanced provocatively at the man's lower half, determined to be stubborn.

The man was tall, with sun-bronzed skin and brown hair. A thin line of blood trickled from the cut on his neck, exuding an aggressive aura.

The little succubus suddenly found this average-looking man quite sexy.

At least his physique was good, and his gray-green eyes resembled gemstones, though it was a pity they were on such an ordinary face.

"You're not bad either, just too plain," the little succubus regretfully announced.

Otherwise, he might have considered making this man a potential bed partner; he seemed well-endowed.

"Goodbye," the little succubus said, pressing the blade to his lips and blowing a kiss at the man before turning and running away.

Behind him, the man stood still for a moment, calming himself down and muttering, "What a mess!"

A moment later, when the man met up with his subordinates, one of them exclaimed upon seeing the bloodline on his neck, "Boss, you’re injured!"

The man wiped the blood beads with his thumb, gritting his teeth, "It's nothing, just scratched by a little wildcat."

His subordinate was amazed, "That little wildcat must be skilled to hurt you, Boss."

Recalling Ji Jing's audacious demeanor, the man smirked, "Indeed, quite skilled and wild, not afraid of anyone."

Other Omegas would turn pale just being near him, unable to meet his gaze.

That one, however, snatched his gun and knife, acting like a little bandit.

The subordinate, unaware that the "little wildcat" wasn't a real cat, suddenly exclaimed, "Oh, then you need a rabies shot, right?"

The man paused for a moment, gritting his teeth, "No, I don't."

Meanwhile, Ji Jing did not leave the underground city. Instead, he put on his hoodie, lowered his head, and walked into a nearby café, ordering a coffee and sitting by the window.

Ji Jing did not drink the coffee. With one hand supporting his head and the other slowly stirring the coffee, he kept an eye on the situation at the hideout he had just escaped from.

His expression changed, and a voice, barely audible, whispered anxiously, "Mr. Succubus, why haven't you left yet? It's too dangerous here. You almost got into trouble."

The little succubus chuckled silently, using silent speech to reassure, "Don't worry. Since we're here, we can't leave empty-handed. Besides, this is a great opportunity to take advantage of the chaos."

    "What great opportunity?"

"The man I clashed with earlier seems to be part of the same group as the undercover agent. If I'm right, they'll soon engage in a fight inside."

"But wouldn't that be more dangerous?"

"Why worry? I'll just observe from the sidelines. I won't join the fray. Maybe after they exhaust each other, I can pick up the pieces."

Omega Ji Jing felt this was too risky but could do nothing.

Even speaking to the little succubus Ji Jing required his permission, as the body was under the little succubus's control.

Just then, a gentle voice interrupted, "Excuse me, may I sit here?"

Ji Jing turned around to see a man holding a coffee cup politely asking to sit beside him.

The man had black hair and dark eyes, with stubble on his face and a scar more than an inch long at the corner of his eye, making it hard to discern his original appearance.

Contrary to his rugged exterior, he exuded a gentle and refined demeanor, which made Ji Jing immediately suspect that he was putting on an act.

    However—

"You can sit if you want; I can't stop you," Ji Jing shrugged.

The man thanked him with a light laugh and sat down opposite Ji Jing, his gaze fixed intently on him.

He said, "I know this might be forward, but you truly shine brighter than any star I've ever seen. The moment I entered, my eyes were drawn to you, unable to look away."

Ji Jing wore a distant smile, not feeling embarrassed by the man's words but rather finding them entirely reasonable.

After all, he was a succubus, and his charm was undeniable.

The man continued, "I fell for you at first sight. May I have the honor of inviting you to explore the vast universe and admire the sun, moon, and stars together?"

Though the man spoke in a scholarly manner, he came across as a lecherous individual with a veneer of sophistication.

But Ji Jing was not moved. He scoffed lightly and said, "You must be dreaming!"

The man was not offended by Ji Jing's rude remark and continued smiling, "It was presumptuous of me to say such things upon our first meeting, but that's fine. There will be opportunities for you to get to know me better."

Before Ji Jing could express his lack of interest, a sudden explosion erupted from outside.

    A loud boom echoed.

Even the café's floor-to-ceiling windows shattered, sending shards of glass flying everywhere.
