After leaving Spree Star, Luo Ke had originally planned to take Ji Jing directly back to the Imperial Star of the Rose Galaxy. However, before the Deep Sea even left the Jasmine Galaxy, Luo Ke received a notice from the military department urging him to return to the Capital Region defense line.

The acting commander of the Second Legion had made several strategic mistakes while temporarily leading the Capital Region defense line, causing the First Legion to refuse to follow his command.

Thus, the Deep Sea’s route was changed, and Luo Ke reported that he would return to the Capital Region defense line to take charge again.

But after making the decision, Luo Ke hesitated when facing Ji Jing, “When we reach the Capital Region defense line, I’ll have my men escort you back to the Imperial Star, alright?”

Ji Jing smiled and shook his head, “No need to trouble them. Just authorize the Deep Sea to me, and I’ll fly it back myself.”

Of course, Luo Ke couldn’t agree. Although Ji Jing could now operate the Deep Sea almost independently, letting him leave alone?

Even a fool would shake their head at that idea.

Why did he suddenly feel a bit guilty?

Luo Ke rubbed his head and reassured, “It’s okay. We’re all adults, and everyone has to pay the price for their decisions and bear the consequences. It has nothing to do with you, so don’t feel burdened.”

Ji Jing leaned in and gently bit Luo Ke’s Adam’s apple, praising him without hesitation, “Luo Ke, you’re so thoughtful!”

For the rest of the time, Ji Jing slept in the rest area while Luo Ke piloted the Deep Sea at full speed.

A day later, the dark blue mech successfully arrived at the space base of the Capital Region defense line. After confirming Luo Ke’s identity, the base security opened the magnetic shield for them.

The space base was temporarily under a ceasefire, so Luo Ke didn’t rush Ji Jing to leave. Instead, he took him to his base quarters to rest.

With many matters awaiting him, Luo Ke couldn’t spare time to accompany Ji Jing. He arranged for a close guard to stand outside the quarters.

Having already napped on the mech, Ji Jing wasn’t tired. After showering in Luo Ke’s room, he went out.

The young Alpha guard looked slightly nervous, “Mr. Ji, is there something you need?”

Being called Mr. Ji, Ji Jing blinked and smiled, “I’m hungry. Can you take me to eat something?”

“Of course.”

Since Luo Ke had instructed to meet Ji Jing’s needs as much as possible, the guard immediately led him to the officers’ mess hall.

“What’s your name?”

“Williams Roberts.”
