Chapter 55
by 天涯无居客Chapter 55
Evan had a dazed, trance-like look, feeling as if he were in a wonderful dream. He followed Sara into the suite, which had a bathroom, a small living room, and a large bedroom. The suite was spacious, comfortable, and exquisitely decorated, exuding an air of luxury everywhere.
Incense was even burning here, its subtle, elusive fragrance floating in the candlelight, making the entire atmosphere particularly intimate. The faint scent permeated the air, as if whispering wordless temptations, causing one's mood to relax involuntarily.
Evan's eyes were drawn irresistibly to the large bed that looked incredibly comfortable. The bed was wide and soft, with clean, white sheets that made one want to lie down and feel its comfort. A strange mix of anticipation and nervousness welled up in Evan's heart. He didn't know what would happen next, but he knew this moment would be an unforgettable memory for the rest of his life.
"Go take a bath," Sara commanded, his voice carrying an unquestionable authority. Then, he turned and walked to the bar in the small living room, took out a bottle of red wine, and poured himself a glass. He moved with elegant composure, as if performing a ritual.
Evan was quick, eager to fulfill Sara's command. In less than five minutes, he emerged with damp hair, wearing a white bathrobe. His face held a hint of shyness and nervousness, like a student awaiting a teacher's appraisal.
By now, the candles in other areas had been extinguished, leaving only a candlestick in the bedroom. Evan couldn't help but walk over, his heart filled with curiosity and anticipation. He saw Sara sitting on the large bed, his fine features taking on a hazy beauty in the candlelight. Sara's figure, illuminated by the candlelight, looked exceptionally captivating. A glimmer of indescribable light shone in his eyes, making one want to draw closer involuntarily.
Perhaps Evan was seeing things, but just a moment ago, he thought he saw a pink chain flash briefly around Sara's neck and then disappear. He blinked, wanting to look more carefully, when he heard an ethereal voice: "Hold me."
Five minutes earlier, looking at the red wine in the wine glass, Sara's eyes were deep and profound. His heart was filled with conflict and struggle; he didn't know if this was the right thing to do or if it would bring him more trouble. A pink chain appeared on his wrist and slowly spread to other parts of his body. A flicker of disgust passed through his eyes; he hated this curse, hated the bondage and pain it brought him. Sara drained the glass in one go, as if swallowing all his troubles along with it. He placed the wine glass on the bar and then walked step by step toward the bedroom. The candlesticks in the suite extinguished one by one as he passed, leaving only a single candle on the bedside table next to the large bed.
An inexpressible lust surged from deep within Sara's body, quickly spreading throughout his entire being. Desire gradually consumed his rationality; the clarity in his black eyes slowly faded, replaced by pure lust. He knew that at this moment, he couldn't resist his desires; he needed to use this opportunity to break the curse on him.
Soon, the last candle went out. Two figures intertwined on the large bed, and suppressed moans echoed in the darkness. While Evan was lost in this indescribable pleasure, pink chains covered Sara's entire body in the darkness. Amid Sara's suppressed moans, the chains shattered and dissipated bit by bit. With a low, venting roar, the chains completely disappeared, leaving not a trace behind.
Feeling the curse on him dissipate, Sara let out a few ragged breaths, trying to calm his own desires. He wanted to reach out and push away the person pressing down on him, but unexpectedly, his wrist was grabbed. Then, a burning kiss and nimble fingers immediately stirred up the desires that had just subsided. A sense of helplessness and complex emotions welled up in Sara's heart, but he couldn't resist this intense temptation either. In this night filled with desire and passion, they seemed to forget everything, immersed in each other's world.
Sara had never been a person driven by lust; he possessed extremely strong self-control over his desires. Moreover, by nature, he was cautious and suspicious, always thinking things through and weighing the pros and cons in any situation. Otherwise, he wouldn't have used a Sealed Artifact to suppress the curse, dragging it out for as long as five years. Sara had his own pride; he absolutely refused to become a tool in someone else's hands, to be manipulated and used at will. Even if that person was of royal descent, possessing a noble status and powerful influence, Sara would not easily yield.
Sara's patience was extraordinary; he could stay quietly at the Imperial Knight Academy for five years without leaving even once. Throughout those five years, he remained vigilant, carefully dealing with any possible situations. His persistence made the person who had been trying to harm him doubt whether his methods had failed. A year ago, that person finally withdrew the people who had been watching him for four years. However, Sara did not let his guard down; he could wait quietly for another year. He wanted to make sure that person had truly shifted their focus and was no longer paying attention to him before he would take action to resolve his own troubles. He knew all too well that in this world full of danger and uncertainty, any negligence could lead to fatal consequences.
By the time Evan finally fell into a deep sleep from extreme exhaustion, the sky outside the window was already bright. Sunlight streamed into the room through the window, giving a warm and peaceful feeling.
Sara, on the other hand, was only breathing lightly. Although his body was also somewhat tired, his mind remained highly alert. He got out of bed and went to the bathroom. Warm water slowly spread over his body, bringing a comfortable sensation. Sara couldn't help but close his eyes, quietly reflecting on the madness of the previous night. This night's experience was so unexpected and wild for him. He had never imagined he would find himself in such a situation. However, it was all over now, and he needed to calmly consider his next steps.
The curse was lifted. This had been Sara's goal all along. This person had no royal bloodline; the prerequisite for the curse's activation was broken, causing the curse to be interrupted and subsequently collapse. Everything happened exactly as he had predicted beforehand. His wisdom and strategy were fully demonstrated at this moment. However, the intimacy and wildness of the latter half of the night were not part of his plan. But aside from the initial loss of control, Sara's feelings about the matter were not bad. That indescribable pleasure made him not averse to it. He knew it was just an accident, but this accident also gave him a new understanding of himself.
By the time Evan woke up from his deep sleep, it was already afternoon. The room was empty except for himself. Evan slowly sat up, feeling the weakness in his body, and couldn't help but feel a bit disheartened. He was actually the first one to tire out yesterday, which made him feel somewhat embarrassed. He had always thought his stamina was decent, but in this intense "battle" with Sara, he had been the one to fall.
After taking a shower and getting dressed, Evan went to the hotel's attached restaurant. He ate a belated meal, enjoying the satisfaction brought by the delicious food. Fortunately, Sara had paid for two days' stay, so after eating, he could return to the room and rest a bit more. However, thinking that the other person had paid for the room, Evan couldn't help but blush slightly. He felt he should be more independent and self-reliant, not always relying on others. He decided that after returning, he would intensify his training to become a knight as soon as possible, or work hard to earn money and become a formal professional. Only then could he establish himself in this world and have the strength to pursue what he wanted.
Evan took a sip of the hot milk he'd ordered for his health. The warm liquid flowed into his stomach, giving him a sense of comfort and peace. He turned his gaze to the street outside the floor-to-ceiling window, wanting to enjoy the view. However, the next moment, he couldn't help but freeze. He hadn't seen the "haze" for several days, but now the streets outside were once again shrouded in gray haze. More importantly, the pedestrians outside all had faint glows of varying intensities around them! This scene left Evan extremely surprised and confused; he had no idea what was happening.
