Chapter 233: A Nobody Crooks His Finger, and the Sugar Daddy Turns into a Lapdog 6

The room went quiet for a second, then got loud again.

"So you're the missus! Don't just stand there at the door—come in and sit."

A random guy warmly waved Lin Huaiqing over to sit next to Fei Xiu, even pulling up an extra chair for him.

Just being called that was enough to piss him off. But Lin Huaiqing couldn't blow up, so he forced a smile and sat down next to Fei Xiu.

"Why'd you drink so much?" Lin Huaiqing looked down at the bottles piled up at their feet like a mini mountain.

"Just hanging with the boys—celebrating! Why're you so late?"

"Couldn't get a cab, so I took the bus."

The second Fei Xiu heard "took the bus," his face twisted with barely hidden disgust.

Lin Huaiqing saw it but pretended not to, letting out a helpless sigh. "Come on... you've had plenty. Let's go home."

He reached for Fei Xiu's arm to pull him out, but the so-called friends around them weren't having it.

"Hey! Sister-in-law! Don't rush off! The Film Emperor still owes us drinks! Ten penalty shots—he's not leaving till they're gone!"

Lin Huaiqing could usually handle your average thug, but this was his first time dealing with these rich brats who were all flash and no substance.

"He's drunk. Next time—set another date and make him drink then."

"Hey! Sister-in-law! That won't fly. Today's business ends today. If the Film Emperor won't drink his share, then you'll have to drink for him."

Lin Huaiqing turned and saw Fei Xiu had no intention of leaving either—instead, he was leaning back, watching with amusement as his buddies put Lin Huaiqing on the spot.

    It all clicked right then.

This wasn't about Fei Xiu being too drunk to drive. He'd brought his crew along to humiliate him.

Lin Huaiqing felt his blood boil and his vision go dark.

What kind of sin had the original owner committed—what kind of sin had he committed—to end up with such a scumbag?

Was this Fei Xiu's way of getting revenge for that punch the other day?

Even as Lin Huaiqing's face went dark, the jeering only got louder.

They were just the backup singers, after all. The mastermind was sitting right there.

"Fei Xiu, cut it out. Whatever's bothering you, we'll talk about it at home." Don't make me slap you in front of all these people.

But Fei Xiu completely missed the murderous look in Lin Huaiqing's eyes.

He reached out and yanked Lin Huaiqing toward him. Caught off guard, Lin Huaiqing stumbled and fell right into Fei Xiu's lap.

The crowd's cheers nearly drowned out everything.

"Baby, since you're here, have a few drinks for me and the boys. You can hold your liquor, right?"

Lin Huaiqing tried to get up, but Fei Xiu shoved him back down, one hand gripping his waist like he was concerned:

"Baby, you've gained weight, haven't you? Your waist is getting thicker?"

Now he finally understood where the original owner's messed-up beauty standards came from.

It was Fei Xiu who'd drilled them into his head.

Fei Xiu himself was 185 centimeters and pushing 150 pounds—his own fans said he'd gotten chubby—yet he'd pushed the original owner to starve himself into a toothpick.

God knows how badly Lin Huaiqing wanted to snap right then and there, but the memory of that electric shock was still too fresh. He was not about to have another "chat" with Fei Xiu.

    He dropped his voice:

"Seriously, Fei Xiu, stop this. If you've got a problem with me, we'll talk about it at home. Don't make a scene in front of your friends."

Fei Xiu acted like he hadn't gotten the message at all, still pushing:

"Oh, right—you were complaining about not having good roles, weren't you? A few of the guys here have family in the entertainment business. Get them happy tonight, and you'll have no trouble getting cast."

Lin Huaiqing pressed his lips together, his face going ice cold.

What did Fei Xiu think he was—think the original owner was?

    A hostess? A toy?

Even if he needed connections, that didn't mean he'd bow to Fei Xiu's bullying.

He was here now, and all he felt for Fei Xiu was anger. But if it had been the original owner, how crushed would he have been?

No wonder the original owner had ended up depressed. If Lin Huaiqing kept swallowing this, he'd be one step away from it himself.

    "Drink! Drink! Drink! Drink..."

Under the crowd's relentless chanting and the sheer humiliation Fei Xiu had piled on him, Lin Huaiqing finally snapped.

    "Drink my *ss!"

He slammed his hands on the table and, with strength he didn't know he had, flipped the whole table over.

The untouched dishes and bottles crashed to the floor in a mess of broken glass and splattered food.

The rich brats were drenched in the scattered food, their flashy exteriors now stained and ruined.

Before anyone could react, Lin Huaiqing spun around and slapped Fei Xiu right across the face.

"Smack!" A sharp, ringing slap echoed through the private room.

    Finally, silence fell over everything.

The rich brats stared in shock, not daring to breathe, waiting for Fei Xiu to blow up.

But Fei Xiu just clutched his cheek, still reeling from the shock of being publicly slapped by Lin Huaiqing.

One slap for the crowd, two for Fei Xiu.

Lin Huaiqing swept a piercing gaze across everyone in the room and said in an icy voice:

"Say something! Why's it so quiet now? Is forcing someone to drink fun? Is humiliating someone in public funny?"

It took a long moment before one of them finally snapped out of it, pointing at Fei Xiu and asking:

"Fei Xiu! So this is the person you trained?"

"Bullshit! Who the hell does he think he is? He's not worthy of training me! Your dad stuffed you full until you're fat and dumb, and you still can't do a damn thing right. What the hell is in that head of yours? You're a grown adult out in the world—don't you know how to respect people?"

Lin Huaiqing, now fully provoked, was viciously aggressive and brutally insulting, cursing out Fei Xiu and his friends, dragging in their parents and every relative in the family tree.

Before he left, he even managed to land a kick on Fei Xiu in the chaos.

To keep the bodyguards and assistants of these rich second-gen heirs from coming after him, Lin Huaiqing grabbed his coat and ran.

When he got out of the Haoyue Hotel and saw no one chasing him from behind, he swaggered on over to the bus stop.

For some reason, even though he had no idea what consequences this win might bring, he just wanted to laugh—laugh out loud.

The resentment he'd been bottling up all this time finally let loose.

No question about it—he'd gone out of character again just now, but what he did was worth it!

The only thing that bugged him was that he hadn't gotten the chance to break up with Fei Xiu.

After waiting at the bus stop forever without a single bus showing up, Lin Huaiqing finally remembered that at this hour, the buses had long stopped running.

And the place to hail a taxi was across the street.

Spotting an empty taxi coming from the other side of the road, Lin Huaiqing hurriedly waved and jogged over.

The intersection light was red, but it was the middle of the night with no cars around, so Lin Huaiqing didn't think twice—to save time, he ran the red light.

Just as he was about to make it across, a Bentley with its hazards flashing suddenly tore out of the intersection.

Almost instantly, the car was right in front of him. Without giving him any time to react, there was only a sharp screech of brakes.

The next second, Lin Huaiqing flew out like a broken kite, then crashed heavily to the ground.

The last words that flashed through his mind were from a crosstalk performance he had heard.

"Someone like you, even in death, would be hit by a Bentley."
