Chapter 63: Forced Love by My Archrival 12

The place that had been buzzing suddenly went dead silent.

In this circle of rich kids, everyone knew you didn't mess with Qin Feng.

And even though Lin Huaiqing had a decent rep, nobody dared to mess with him either, thanks to the Lin family's power.

Now that the two big young masters were going at it over a woman, the crowd just watched the drama unfold—nobody dared to step in.

After all, the black-suited bodyguards Qin Feng had brought along weren't just for decoration.

"Lin Huaiqing, you dare touch my woman? You're begging to die!" Qin Feng grabbed the half-drunk Lin Huaiqing by the collar and threw a right hook at that smug face of his.

Lin Huaiqing knew there was no getting out of it, so he didn't even try to dodge—he just took the punch.

Qin Feng's knuckles were like iron, and the second they connected, a sharp, throbbing pain shot through his face, followed by a burning, swelling heat, like his face was on fire.

Wiping the blood trickling from his nose, Lin Huaiqing staggered back to his feet.

Everything around him was a blur of noise and chaos—he could barely tell what was real anymore.

"Tell me! Which hand touched her? I'll make you regret it."

Seeing another punch coming, Lin Huaiqing squeezed his eyes shut, bracing for the pain.

But he waited... and waited... and the punch never landed.

When he opened his eyes, a familiar figure was standing in front of him, catching Qin Feng's fist.

    "Brother! Stop!"

Qin Fan showed up just in time, saving Lin Huaiqing, who was already bruised and battered.

Shen Jingyi, who'd been safely tucked away on the sidelines, finally snapped out of it too.

"Qin Feng! Stop fighting! It's all a misunderstanding! This guy was just trying to steady me—we bumped into each other by accident."

By now, the left side of Lin Huaiqing's face had swollen up like a balloon, his once-clean complexion now a mess of purple and blue bruises—pretty gruesome.

"A misunderstanding?" Qin Feng clearly wasn't buying Shen Jingyi's story.

Shen Jingyi was sweet and kind—she had to be covering for Lin Huaiqing.

"So him deliberately bumping into you, making you pay for his clothes, then threatening you into drinking with him—that's a misunderstanding too?"

His guys had been planted in the bar, watching the whole time. If he didn't think Lin Huaiqing was a horny bastard trying to hit on Shen Jingyi, he'd eat his own hat!

Lin Huaiqing had nothing to say. Even if he did, his face was swollen like a pig's head, and he wasn't in the mood to talk anyway.

Besides, this was all his own doing, so there was no point in defending himself.

Qin Fan swallowed the ache in his chest, using a clean tissue to wipe the blood from Lin Huaiqing's nose, frowning in worry.

"Lin Huaiqing, just explain to my brother that you didn't go after her on purpose—it's all a misunderstanding."

"Hah!" Lin Huaiqing, with blood still trickling from his nose, let out a light laugh. "Of course I did it on purpose. If I die for a beauty, so be it—I'll be a romantic even in death. If you've got the balls, Qin, kill me right here—otherwise, the Lin family won't let this slide!"

Qin Fan's eyes went wide in disbelief at what Lin Huaiqing just said.

From what he knew, Lin Huaiqing, though a bit headstrong, had never gone around harassing women.

Those provoking words hit Qin Feng's ears and instantly reignited his rage.

"Fine! You want to die? I'll give you what you want! You guys, break the arm that touched Shen Jingyi!"

Qin Feng pointed at the bodyguards behind him. Two of them grabbed Lin Huaiqing and hoisted him up, and a third was about to go at him.

At the critical moment, Qin Fan shoved the two bodyguards aside in front of everyone and shielded Lin Huaiqing behind him.

    "Brother! You can't touch him!"

    "Why not?"

"Because..." Qin Fan started to speak but suddenly caught Shen Jingyi—still in Qin Feng's arms—giving him a subtle wink.

He instantly got what Shen Jingyi was hinting at.

The next second, Qin Fan scooped up the dazed Lin Huaiqing and strode out of there.

Qin Feng was about to order them to chase, but Shen Jingyi, still in his arms, covered his mouth and eyes, coaxing him softly.

"Why are you so mad? He didn't even do anything to me!"

    "But he—"

"Qin Feng, I'm hungry. Take me to get something to eat. Forget about them."

    "Alright..."

Gotta hand it to Shen Jingyi—she really knew how to handle Qin Feng.

A few words were all it took to temporarily put out his fire.

Meanwhile, Yu Wenle, with help from his buddies, finally crawled off the floor and onto the sofa.

During the scuffle, someone had shoved him, and he'd smacked his head on the corner of a table, knocking himself out cold.

He vaguely remembered Qin Feng coming to mess with Lin Huaiqing, but after that—nothing.

"Where's Lin Huaiqing?" Yu Wenle asked the people around him.

"Taken by the Qins. You alright in the head?"

    "Shit!"

Nobody knew better than him that Lin Huaiqing and the Qin brothers didn't get along. A half-drunk Lin Huaiqing getting taken by the Qins—how could that end well?

Brotherhood came first. Sure, Lin Huaiqing was a bit of an idiot, but he was still his best friend. There was no way he could just stand by.

But charging into the Qin estate solo to save him wasn't realistic—he'd probably just end up getting himself caught too.

At this point, his only move was to tip off Uncle Lin.

"Uncle Song, head to the eastern suburbs villa."

Meanwhile, Qin Fan got the woozy Lin Huaiqing into the car and finally let out a sigh of relief.

Lucky for Lin Huaiqing—if his brother had actually gotten his hands on him, even if he survived, he'd have come out seriously messed up.

"Where are you taking me? Let me go! I want to go home!"

Lin Huaiqing, sitting in the back, tried to reach around Qin Fan to open the door, but Qin Fan grabbed his hand and pushed him back.

"Still acting up at a time like this. If you don't want your face scarred, sit still. I'm taking you to get that looked at first."

He didn't think much of Qin Fan either—figured he was in cahoots with his brother.

But the truth was, Qin Fan had saved him right in front of his brother. He'd give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

Back at Qin Fan's villa in the eastern suburbs, Qin Fan immediately had the private doctor come over to treat Lin Huaiqing's injuries.

After a quick exam and dressing the wound, Gu Chengyun handed a few bottles of medicine to Qin Fan.

"Apply it evenly to the affected area twice a day. The swelling should go down in no time."

"Thank you, Dr. Gu." Qin Fan took the bottles one by one and walked him to the door himself.

Gu Chengyun was the family's private doctor—highly skilled, just a man of few words.

After seeing him to the door, Qin Fan went back to look after Lin Huaiqing.

By the time he left the eastern suburbs villa, it was already past midnight.

Gu Chengyun had been drinking that evening, and when Qin Fan called, he couldn't drive, so he'd rushed over in a cab.

Getting a cab back wasn't easy, though—he'd have to walk two kilometers to the main road just to have a shot at flagging one down.

On his way back, medical bag in hand, Gu Chengyun noticed a car trailing him at a steady distance.

He quickened his pace, but the car sped up too, pulling up beside him and stopping.

"Now!" Yu Wenle gave the order, and two bodyguards jumped out of the car, directly covering Gu Chengyun's mouth and dragging him into the vehicle.
