Chapter 57 Forced Love from My Archrival 6
by 早日暴富Chapter 57: Forced Love from My Archrival 6
Lin Huaiqing lit up a cigarette in the car to steady his nerves, but nobody came out of the doorway.
He figured the guy didn't want him getting a look at his face.
Probably scared of the Lin family coming after him...
Lin Huaiqing just started the engine and peeled out.
Along the way, every time he pictured some ugly, old, but jacked-up geezer forcing a kiss on him in the dark stairwell of that rundown building, he felt like puking.
After living and transmigrating through all those worlds, he'd never been so humiliated in his life.
And this wasn't like other stuff—he didn't dare tell his dad.
After all, he was a grown man; he couldn't exactly shout from the rooftops that some dude had forced a kiss on him, could he?
He'd be dragging the Lin Group's name through the mud!
The more he stewed on it, the more wrecked Lin Huaiqing felt. And knowing the mastermind behind all this had to be Qin Fan, he grew even angrier.
All he'd done was get drunk at the club and run his mouth at him, right? Was this really worth getting back at him over? And with a cheap shot, too!
Fuck!
Hell no! He wasn't letting this slide!
Lin Huaiqing crashed at the nearest empty place his family owned. There was no way he could let his dad see him like this.
He scrubbed himself clean in the shower. He brushed his teeth inside and out five times, only stopping when his gums bled from the borderline self-destructive routine.
Out of nowhere, the system's voice popped into his head.
"Host! Your mental fortitude sucks! If you're this fragile now, what'll you do when the Lin family goes broke and you have to hit up Qin Feng for a loan, and he tears you a new one?"
"Tsk! Separate issues! A man can be killed but not disgraced! Especially when he sends some creep to gross me out! I can't take it! There's no way I'm letting this slide!"
The next morning, Lin Huaiqing rolled up to the Qin Group's downtown headquarters, dark circles under his eyes.
Lin Huaiqing barked at the front desk girl, "I'm here to see your little President Qin!"
"Sorry, but without an appointment, you can't see President Qin."
"Oh, yeah? Then I'll just..." The next second, he bolted into the employee elevator, flashing a "bye-bye" wave at the receptionist as the doors slid shut.
If he remembered correctly, the offices of every company were on the top floor. Even if he missed Qin Fan, he could still catch Qin Feng.
Whoever he ran into, he'd just follow the script.
The receptionist never expected the bookish-looking Lin Huaiqing to pull such a shameless move. She immediately rang Qin Feng's office.
"Okay, got it." Qin Feng hung up the phone. He mulled it over for a second, his face darkening like a storm was brewing.
"I've got something to deal with. Switch the meeting to a video call." With that, Qin Feng strode out of his office without a backward glance.
By the time he rushed to his lounge, Lin Huaiqing was already waiting outside.
"Who the hell let you up here?"
Lin Huaiqing had come to settle the score with Qin Fan, but when Qin Feng showed up instead, he was caught off guard for a second.
The brothers were full-blooded siblings and looked about fifty percent alike, but to him, they were both equally annoying as hell.
"For a family that calls itself one of the top names in the capital, pulling this kind of lowdown crap—aren't you scared of people showing up at your door?"
Facing the male lead's intimidating vibe, Lin Huaiqing didn't flinch one bit.
Besides, it was broad daylight, and with all those Qin Group employees watching, Qin Feng wouldn't dare touch him.
Qin Feng had always looked down on this spoiled brat from the house next door since they were kids.
He wouldn't even give him the time of day, yet the guy kept picking fights.
More than once he'd wanted to clock him, but his little brother always held him back.
Back in school, he'd only messed with him behind his back. He never figured the guy would get bolder as an adult—daring to embarrass him in public.
"What the hell are you talking about? I don't get it! Security! Get him out of here! I don't want to see his face in this building again."
At Qin Feng's order, a dozen-plus security guards came charging up from downstairs. Two of them grabbed Lin Huaiqing's arms and hauled him toward the elevator.
Lin Huaiqing fought like crazy, but his soft, spoiled rich-kid body was no match for those beefy guards.
He was just about to get shoved into the elevator.
"Stop!"
Out of nowhere, Qin Fan showed up and pried the elevator doors apart.
He pulled the guy away from the security guards.
"Bro! Young Master Lin came to see me. I'll deal with it."
Qin Feng was curious how his little brother had gotten mixed up with Lin Huaiqing, but since Qin Fan said he'd handle it, he had to save face for his brother.
He just waved a hand and let it slide.
Once he was rescued, Lin Huaiqing finally settled down.
If Qin Fan hadn't stepped in, he—the young master of the Lin family—would've been tossed out of Qin Group's HQ by a pack of security guards.
He'd probably end up on the news the next day.
Then his dad would start bitching about him being a disgrace again.
Lin Huaiqing hadn't expected the male lead to be so ruthless—not giving him any face whatsoever.
He followed Qin Fan into the room in silence. The second the door clicked shut, Lin Huaiqing didn't waste a beat—he swung a fist right at that damn near perfect face.
Separate issue—sure, Qin Fan had helped him, but he hadn't forgotten that Qin Fan had sent someone to mess with him.
Qin Fan was totally caught off guard. He took the hit square on and instantly felt his nose go hot, like something was leaking out.
"Qin Fan! Was it fun sending someone to mess with me? If you've got balls, fight me head-on! Don't pull shady shit behind my back!"
That punch had taken everything he had, but it still wasn't enough! Nowhere near enough to make up for the humiliation of getting force-kissed by some guy yesterday.
Qin Fan, despite being punched, didn't get angry. He simply wiped away the trickling nosebleed and looked at the furious Lin Huaiqing with a mocking smile.
"What are you talking about? I don't understand. But throwing punches isn't exactly what a gentleman does."
"Don't you dare tell me you didn't have someone tailing me and Lu Yuting, don't you dare tell me you didn't..." He couldn't finish the sentence.
In truth, Qin Fan hadn't really taken in much of what Lin Huaiqing was saying. His eyes locked onto those lips he'd tasted just last night.
Watching those lips move as he talked, he longed to do what he had done the night before—to press his own mouth firmly against them, to shut up that spoiled young master's mouth, to slam him against the wall and take his time savoring him.
But he couldn't—he didn't even dare let Lin Huaiqing find out that the man who had kissed him forcefully in the hallway last night was none other than himself.
After Lin Huaiqing had rambled on for who knows how long, Qin Fan finally spoke again:
"You said Lu Yuting's back from abroad too. Have you two already met?"
"After everything I just said, that's all you heard?"
"She's probably back for some other reason. If you wanna avoid trouble, keep your distance from her."
"???"
Lin Huaiqing was totally confused. He felt like someone else had said the exact same thing before, but who was it?
Clearly, Qin Fan had no intention of revealing more.
He'd landed his punch, but he'd better get out of there fast before the security guards at Qin Group showed up.
Just as he was about to step out of the company's main entrance, his phone buzzed with an incoming call from Lu Yuting.
