Chapter 64 Forced Love from My Archrival 13
by 早日暴富Chapter 64: Forcibly Loved by My Archenemy 13
"Who the hell are you?" Gu Chengyun had barely been dragged into the car when he was tied up hand and foot. A cold glint flashed in his narrow, glasses-framed eyes.
Gu Chengyun was always calm and composed, never flustered in the face of danger—a trait from his days as a military doctor.
If it weren't for the hand injury he'd sustained on a peacekeeping mission—which had made delicate surgeries impossible ever since—he wouldn't have ended up as a private physician for the rich.
"Oh! You're pretty calm! Looks like you've been around! Tell me! What did that Qin bastard do to my brother?"
After calling Lin Zhen, Yu Wenle had tailed the Qin family's car all the way to the villa.
But the villa's front gate was locked tight, and he was stressing about how to get in. Then, to his surprise, someone came right out of the villa.
"Your brother?" Gu Chengyun realized he must mean the young man he'd just treated.
Given how concerned Qin Fan seemed about the young man, was this guy kidnapping him over some kind of misunderstanding?
"That's confidential patient info. I can't disclose it." Gu Chengyun held to his professional ethics—he couldn't reveal anything about his employer to an outsider.
Yu Wenle had grown up pampered, so he'd seen plenty of private doctors at home.
But he'd never met a doctor with such a cool, reserved vibe as the man in front of him. There was a deep, quiet intensity to his eyes, and even tied up in the car, he showed zero panic.
Damn it! His best friend was still in danger, and here he was checking this guy out instead.
"You won't talk, huh? Professional ethics, is it? You scared of what I might do to you?"
As he talked, Yu Wenle opened Gu Chengyun's medical bag and found some routine meds, plus syringes and IV tubing.
The bag was small, but everything inside was neatly arranged with precision.
"I've never given anyone an injection before. Want to be my first?"
Gu Chengyun couldn't help rolling his eyes. This guy had the mental age of a child.
Even his threats were kid stuff.
Maybe he should just tell him. It wasn't a big deal anyway, and it'd stop this misunderstanding.
"He's fine. Just treating some bruising on his face from getting punched."
"Really? You're not lying to me? That Qin bastard didn't touch him?"
"Lay a hand? That second young master of the Qin family was certainly generous..."
He'd called him over in the middle of the night just to treat a bruised face. If he'd come any later, it would've already healed.
He'd never seen the second young master of the Qin family give a damn about anyone like that.
"In that case, please sit in the car for a while. Once my brother's safe, I'll let you go."
Meanwhile, feeling the cool medicinal ointment on his face, Lin Huaiqing—still buzzed from the alcohol—puked all over Qin Fan.
He wondered if Qin Feng had given him a concussion, because why else would he be so dizzy?
Qin Fan was a bit of a neat freak. If anyone else had puked on him, he'd have lost it.
But since it was Lin Huaiqing—his face swollen on one side like a honey-colored little puppy—he didn't find it disgusting at all.
He just changed his clothes without a word. Bare-chested, he said to Lin Huaiqing, who had taken over his bed and was sprawled all over it:
"Don't go anywhere. I'm going to take a shower."
"Mm..."
Lin Huaiqing agreed sweetly, but the second Qin Fan got in the shower and the water started running, he sprang up from the bed like a fish out of water.
Grabbing his phone, wallet, and jacket, he slipped out the door.
He'd barely walked a few hundred meters when he ran straight into Yu Wenle, who was crouched at the corner on his phone.
Seeing Lin Huaiqing's face half swollen, Yu Wenle's first reaction wasn't concern—it was laughter.
"Hahahahaha, how did you get so swollen? You look like crap..."
He wasn't gloating. It wasn't like he'd never seen a fight before—a punch to the face usually just left a bruise for a couple weeks, but it was rare to see someone swell up like Lin Huaiqing.
"Come on, let's talk in the car."
Back in the car, Lin Huaiqing saw the doctor who'd treated him earlier and was a little confused.
But one look at his friend's expression, and he got the whole picture.
"Why did you tie him up? Untie him right now!"
"I was just worried something happened to you. Come on, let him go."
Gu Chengyun didn't care about whatever drama was going on between them. He just wanted to go home and sleep. He stretched and got ready to get out of the car.
Feeling guilty, Lin Huaiqing spoke up: "Doctor Gu, where do you live? We'll drive you home."
Gu Chengyun thought for a moment: "Fine..."
It's not like he could get a cab anyway.
"You're the Qin family's private doctor?" Yu Wenle asked.
Gu Chengyun ignored him and turned to look out the window.
Not one to give up, Yu Wenle kept trying to chat him up.
"Hey! Doctor, why is his face so swollen? Wasn't it just one punch?"
This time Gu Chengyun did react. He glanced at Lin Huaiqing and said in a cold tone:
"The guy hit hard, plus his skin is thin and delicate. It looks bad, and it's actually not light at all. The person who hit him has a vicious hand..."
"It's all that Qin guy's fault for beating you like this! All because he flirted with a waitress—was that necessary?" Yu Wenle fumed, sticking up for Lin Huaiqing.
Lin Huaiqing patted Yu Wenle on the shoulder. "Forget it. I was the one who messed up first anyway. Let it go this time. Next time..."
Next time, when he wasn't the one at fault, he'd make sure Qin Feng paid!
His hatred for Qin Feng had hit its peak. Even if the system didn't give him a mission, he'd go out of his way to mess with Qin Feng.
As for the other Qin guy, he'd stay neutral.
That guy had definitely done plenty to offend him before—especially the unforgivable grudge of stealing his wife! And that stunt with finding a guy just to piss him off—he'd never forget that as long as he lived.
But ever since Qin Fan came back to the country, he'd bailed him out in front of his brother more than once, almost like he was trying to make nice.
He had no clue what Qin Fan was up to.
Slap you once, then hand you a cookie?
These two brothers were seriously weird.
After dropping Gu Chengyun off, Yu Wenle quietly memorized where he lived.
Although he didn't know why, he found himself weirdly interested in Gu Chengyun for no real reason.
He'd never been into guys before, but this one just happened to hit every mark for him—broad shoulders, narrow waist, giving off this cold, keep-away-from-me vibe from the core.
He was exactly his type!
Back home, Lin Huaiqing didn't even dare to wash his face. He rushed through a shower and crashed, but the next day he couldn't drag himself out of bed for work.
If Xue Chengan saw him like this, he'd definitely spin some story to his dad and Uncle Wang!
He wasn't going!
So he just called in sick without a second thought, planning to order some delivery and eat well.
Even though he was now a rich kid from a wealthy family, he still couldn't break his bad habit—he planned to order some junk food to soothe his injured body and soul.
Forty-five minutes later...
A deluxe, ultimate, supreme, land-and-sea spicy hot pot, with extra numbing spice and extra heat, as requested, had been delivered to his hands.
Lin Huaiqing was just about to enjoy his meal when suddenly the doorbell rang.
Was the delivery guy still there asking for a five-star rating?
But when he opened the door, Qin Fan, dressed in casual wear, stood at the entrance, carrying a large pile of stuff in his hands.
"Why are you here?" Lin Huaiqing asked, puzzled.
He didn't think he had ever given Qin Fan the address of this villa, had he?
How did he find this place?
