Chapter 27: Please, Don’t Lay a Finger on Me

Jian Ye didn’t realize there were three men at the urinals until he stepped outside.

These guys were taking forever to piss while chatting.

Worried they might get too carried away and spill even more secrets, getting him tangled up in their mess—what was he supposed to do?

Even if he plugged his ears and pretended not to hear, no one would believe him anyway.

Just as he was about to walk past them, they blocked his path.

All three suddenly looked terrifying. Jian Ye put on a show of being scared and took half a step back. “What do you want?”

Of course, the three immediately recognized him as one of the people they’d been gossiping about earlier.

One of them threatened, “Keep today’s business to yourself. If you dare say anything, next time we cross paths in this circle, you know how this’ll end…”

    “We’ll make your life hell!”

Jian Ye twisted his lips. “I already said I didn’t hear anything.”

“You taking us for fools?” another growled, voice sharp and fierce.

    Jian Ye: Pretty much.

He noticed the young man flinch slightly, which only made him bolder and more smug.

“This kid’s all bark and no bite. No way he’d dare talk!”

“Still, better be careful. My family pulled strings just to get this invite. We’re banking on this chance to expand connections through the Yi family. If this little shit screws it up…”

“If you want him to keep quiet for good, that’s easy.” The tallest, creepiest rich boy suddenly stared at Jian Ye, scanning him from head to toe.

“Take off all your clothes. We’ll snap a photo, and this never happened,” he said.

“Damn, you’re twisted!” A skinny guy beside him laughed and slapped the rich boy’s shoulder.

Jian Ye suddenly smirked, his expression turning dangerously seductive. “Sure.”

The three stiffened. This wasn’t… the reaction they’d expected. Wasn’t he going to resist at all?!

The young man’s slender, well-manicured fingers reached for the buttons of his suit, undoing them one by one…

    ……

After schmoozing with the guests, Yi Siyu returned to the lounge, only to find it empty.

He asked Special Assistant Xu, who had been waiting there since earlier, “Has he come by?”

Special Assistant Xu shook his head. “No. Since Third Young Master assigned me here, I’ve been the only one around.”

Could he still be in the bathroom? He remembered the young man saying he needed to use the restroom.

If he hadn’t come back yet, did the drinks make him sick?

Yi Siyu decided to check the restroom.

Just then, his phone pinged with a text.

Yi Siyu received a WeChat from Jian Ye.

    It was an audio clip.

Beside him, Special Assistant Xu watched as his boss's face turned stormy after listening to the message. His brows knit together, his expression icy and grim.

Without a word, he stormed out of the lounge.

"Hey, Third Young Master!" Something was definitely wrong—Xu followed his boss’s steps without hesitation.

    ...

In the restroom, Jian Ye checked the time. The lead should be arriving soon.

Time to put on his act.

He deliberately wrinkled the groom's suit he had taken off and tossed it at their feet.

"Stop stalling! Hurry up and strip!" The tall creep, worried someone might walk in, locked the restroom door while urging him on.

Jian Ye lowered his head, bangs hiding his eyes.

A smirk twisted across his lips, full of mockery. "I really take it off—are you sure you can handle looking?"

With one swift motion, he grabbed his collar and ripped it down.

Sorry, designer masterpiece. Million-dollar shirt. You'll just have to be collateral damage.

Buttons flew, finely made ones popping off and scattering across the floor.

The shirt hung crookedly open, revealing his pale collarbones.

The bottom half was pulled free from his waistband, leaving him looking messy but oddly beautiful.

When he looked up again, his eyes were red-rimmed.

"Please let me go," Jian Ye begged, voice trembling, barely holding back tears. "I won't say a word about what I heard today."

His upper body shook slightly, fingers curled inward.

    "You—"

The three men stood stunned by how quickly the boy had changed—something seriously off settling over them.

One of them already regretted forcing the kid to strip.

Anger sometimes made you do stupid shit.

But then again, there were no cameras in the bathroom. If anyone saw, they could all lie through their teeth anyway.

Just as they thought this, the restroom door was hammered from the outside.

    A voice shouted, "Ye Ye!"

    "Are you in there?!"

    Shit—it's Yi's Third Young Master!

The men tried to back away, scrambling to distance themselves from the boy—only for him to suddenly throw himself at them.

Jian Ye haphazardly grabbed the wrists of the two men on either side and forced their hands toward his belt buckle and the gaping collar of his shirt.

Then he let out a dramatic wail, "Please don't touch me! Brother Siyu! Brother Siyu!!"

    Boom—

The door was kicked open from the outside.

At that moment, Yi Siyu caught sight of the boy—disheveled, eyes glistening with staged tears—being manhandled by three men, his clothes and pants being torn apart.

Seeing red, he charged forward without hesitation.

Unaware that a certain Domineering CEO had exaggerated what he saw, the consummate actor Jian Ye continued to commit fully to the bit.

Perhaps it was his performance that moved heaven itself. At the critical moment, he slipped on a wet tile, his fall so convincing it could've won awards.

Now there was no need for him to tear his shirt—it was shredded to ribbons all by itself.

The boy sprawled on the floor had his collar and half his shoulder exposed, a flash of pink skin peeking through.

But damn, that tile was hard—the impact would leave a bruise for sure.

When Jian Ye looked up again, the three men were already laid out flat by the furious CEO, one punch apiece.

    ...

Yi Siyu saw white-hot rage. His fury knew no bounds.

He was livid at these scum who dared to mess with his fox-pup, and furious at himself too.

Hadn’t the guest list been carefully vetted? How did these dead men walking slip through?

What they’d done today wasn’t just offending the Yi and Jian families—it was trampling their dignity into the dirt.

If anything had really happened to Jian Ye today, the Yi family could make them disappear before midnight.

"Third Young Master, please hear me out—he... Ah!" The lanky creep tried to speak but was kicked in the face by Yi Siyu.

"We didn’t do anything! This kid set us up!" The skinny fool doubled down, digging his grave deeper.

But none could outplay a scheming fox.

"Brother Siyu, they’re lying. I recorded it," Jian Ye said, switching on his phone’s speaker.

    The recording played on loop:

—"Strip completely! We’ll take a photo and this never happened!"

—"Quit stalling! Hurry up and strip!"

These were their own words. Even if they hired professionals to analyze it, the filthy demands couldn’t be faked.

*The three men instantly realized why the boy had smiled so fearlessly in front of them earlier.*

It was the grin of a cat who got the cream.

Who said the Third Young Master married some little white flower? Clearly, it was a venomous orchid!!

Yi Siyu wasn’t hearing a damn word from those scumbags. Details didn’t matter—only the facts.

The fact is, his wife was forced to undress on their wedding day, on the Yi family's turf, right in front of him, her actual husband.

Every single thing those men did was pushing every one of Yi Siyu’s buttons. That he hadn’t strangled them on the spot was a testament to his self-control.

One thing the rumors got right—there was a violent, unhinged side to him.

It only surfaced when someone important to him was hurt.

The noise from Yi Siyu’s beating was unmistakable. Outside the restroom, curious onlookers were already trying to peek in.

They were promptly stopped by Special Assistant Xu, who had followed closely behind.

As the Third Young Master’s personal assistant, thinking on his feet was non-negotiable.

While blocking the guests outside, Special Assistant Xu called for security.

He had already grasped the situation—those three inside? His boss would never let them off easy.

    Inside the restroom.

Jian Ye was now wrapped in an oversized suit jacket, the fabric carrying Yi Siyu’s distinctive scent.

The little scheming pup curled up, nestled securely in the man’s arms.

He buried his face fearfully against Yi Siyu’s chest, his body still trembling.

The tycoon’s heart clenched. Seeing the Yi family’s private bodyguards arrive, he bit out, “Take these three away. Hand them directly to the police.”

“Third Young Master, please! We were wrong! Don’t send us to the police!” the ringleader begged.

“I—I wasn’t even involved! It was all him!” The skinny one pointed at the tall man. “He was the one who badmouthed you first and had designs on your partner!”

“Bullshit! You’re fucking lying! When did I ever have designs on him?”

“You know damn well what you were thinking! Oh, right—he was the one who forced your partner to strip, said he’d take photos to blackmail him!” The third man joined the blame game.

“Shut the hell up! I’ll fucking kill you!” The ringleader, now thoroughly enraged, lunged at the other two.

The three ended up in a messy brawl before being dragged away by security.

Jian Ye had intended to walk out on his own, but the man protecting him hoisted him up into his arms instead.

He gasped softly, and Yi Siyu whispered into his ear, “Just relax. I’ll take you back to rest.”

Carefully, the man covered the boy’s head with his jacket. With bodyguards shielding them, no one caught a glimpse of Jian Ye’s distressed state.

Outside, the eldest and second eldest of the Yi family had already gotten things under control. Hearing about Jian Ye’s ordeal had infuriated and worried them.

For something like this to happen at their brother’s wedding was nothing short of a direct slap in the face to the Yi family.

Yi Xiangcheng and Yu Xinran continued hosting guests in the main venue, everything appearing perfectly normal.

Very few knew about the restroom incident, and those who did were all silenced by Special Assistant Xu through hush money.

Truthfully, even without the bribe, no one would dare offend the Yi family over three nobody thugs.

Those unaware could only gossip based on scraps.

All in all, no real damage was done.

    ...

Enveloped in the jacket, Jian Ye found himself in a dark space. When his eyes could no longer see, his other senses became exceptionally sharp.

He could hear the strong, rhythmic beating of the man's heart, the soft panting as he carried him swiftly, and the cool, lingering scent that filled his nostrils.

Jian Ye was nearly overwhelmed by it.

No denying this position was intimate—but it gave him a strong sense of safety.

Jian Ye had seen Yi Siyu’s fury earlier. It must have been for the sake of the Yi family’s reputation… After all, this scandal would insult both families.

It couldn’t possibly be… because of him, right…?

Jian Ye hadn't forgotten the original story's plot. He shook off the unrealistic thoughts in his mind.

Perhaps due to his transmigration, he had altered the original host's fate, creating some butterfly-effect changes. Now, Yi Siyu wasn’t as hostile toward him.

But there was still no way he liked him.

Jian Ye didn’t want to follow the original character’s disposable fate. From the warmer attitudes of the Yi family and Old Mr. Jian toward him, he could see his efforts were bearing fruit.

In the future, he might no longer be a cannon-fodder character, but he would never be the Main Character either.

The Top Protagonist would only end up with the Bottom Protagonist. A side character like him was merely there to drive the plot forward.

    But today’s Yi Siyu…

    Was genuinely touching.

Even if it was just an act, the tenderness with which he had shielded him felt undeniably real.

For one heart-stopping moment, Jian Ye almost believed he was the man’s beloved.

    "Author's Note:"

Jian Xiaocha: How could he love me? It must be an illusion.

    Yi Siyu: Exactly. Only you.

Today’s Yi Siyu stands six feet tall! Crazy about his wife! Head over heels, would move mountains for her!
