Chapter 141: Do You Like This Gift?
by 橙子不涩Chapter 141: Do You Like This Gift?
The surroundings were lively and noisy, with the sounds of rock instruments and voices blending together, pumping up every young person’s adrenaline.
Yet Yi Siyu blocked out the noise—all he heard was Jian Ye’s joyful laughter.
His heart pounded like a drumroll. In the past, he would never have imagined that one day he would marry a boy and love him so passionately and deeply, delighting in every little expression of his beloved.
Yi Siyu reached out and took Jian Ye’s hand, lacing their fingers together tightly. The moment he held it, he felt as if he had the whole world.
Jian Ye was in a great mood today. When he suddenly felt his hand being grasped, he smiled and squeezed back.
It had been a long time since he had experienced the bustling energy of the streets. After marrying Yi Siyu, dates like this were rare. And after gaining popularity online, such opportunities became even rarer.
"I want to eat street food today! Street vendors, all the greasy junk food!"
"Alright, whatever you want."
One of the things Jian Ye loved most about Yi Siyu was that he never stopped him from doing what he wanted. Being spoiled like this was downright addictive.
Jian Ye bought stinky tofu and spicy potato skewers, tugging his mask down for a stealthy bite before immediately covering up again. He then speared a piece on a skewer and handed it to Yi Siyu.
Yi Siyu lowered his head slightly to take a bite. Though the overwhelming taste of cumin and chili powder wasn’t his favorite, seeing Jian Ye enjoy it so much made his eyes crinkle with warmth.
"Are those two up ahead a couple? They’re so handsome!"
"They’re feeding each other—OMG, that’s adorable!"
"Can all couples on the street meet this standard? I’m single, but I’d devour this sweetness."
"Their figures are great too, can’t look away. Too bad they’re wearing masks—can’t see their full faces."
"Hey, doesn’t the shorter one look like… Jian Ye from that variety show last year?"
"Now that you mention it, he really does! Then is the guy next to him his boyfriend?"
"What boyfriend? Jian Ye’s married—it trended everywhere. That must be his husband!!"
"His husband is the third young master of the Yi family. And he’s willing to stroll the streets with Jian Ye? So whipped for him—and so relatable!"
A while back, a video of Third Young Master Yi fighting with the CEO of the Qin Group had circulated online. Yi Siyu’s face had been glimpsed, but the video was too grainy and quickly taken down. Most netizens had never actually seen what Yi Siyu looked like.
Now, some passersby who recognized Jian Ye happened to witness their sweet date up close. Just seeing them standing together was a sight to behold—their masks couldn’t hide their striking good looks.
Jian Ye had no idea, but the onlookers were secretly thrilled.
After finishing their snacks, Jian Ye and Yi Siyu headed to the cinema, choosing a popular recent film and buying a large bucket of popcorn before heading straight in.
The moment the theater lights dimmed, Jian Ye ripped off his mask. "Phew… I couldn’t breathe."
Yi Siyu also removed his mask—but for a different reason.
Jian Ye: "Mmph?!"
This guy had totally planned this sneak attack!
Jian Ye was left stunned by the kiss.
Yi Siyu didn't mind that there were still two pieces of popcorn in his own mouth.
The little lips that had just eaten popcorn were still coated with sugar, sweet and sticky.
They couldn’t kiss openly on the street, but in the cinema, it was fine, right?
The surroundings were pitch black, everyone's attention was on the movie being shown, and no one noticed what the two in the corner of the last row were doing.
"Focus on the movie..." Jian Ye pushed Yi Siyu's mouth away with his hand. In the darkness, his cheeks and ears were burning.
He’d been feeling restless lately, sometimes unable to resist, but they were still in public. He was afraid that if the man started this, he’d be the one who couldn’t hold back in the end.
But after going back today, they’d have a chance to let loose. He had his own little thoughts, though it wasn't the right time to voice them yet.
Yi Siyu thought Jian Ye was just shy and didn’t tease him further. He held Jian Ye's hand and turned his attention back to the screen.
Apart from the initial intimacy, the two actually watched the two-hour movie properly without any further distractions.
"This director did a pretty good job. The cinematography and transitions were smooth, the plot was coherent without major flaws, and the actors' performances were solid." After the movie ended, Jian Ye seriously discussed his thoughts with Yi Siyu.
"In the future, you could also be part of it—you’d definitely act even better than them." Yi Siyu was completely biased when it came to his wife; to him, Jian Ye was the best at everything.
Jian Ye didn’t argue. He also looked forward to the day he would appear on the big screen—acting in movies had been his dream since childhood.
They strolled around the streets a bit longer, and by the time they got back to Lanfeng Bay, it was almost ten.
Yi Siyu had thought today’s date was the gift Jian Ye had prepared for him. He had enjoyed the process and didn’t feel the gift was lacking at all. It hadn’t even occurred to him that, after returning home, Jian Ye would pull out two gift boxes from the cabinet.
At that moment, Qiu Qiu came sniffing around the gifts, mistaking them for toys, and even tried to grab them with his mouth.
"Cut it out, Jian Xiao Qiu! These are presents from Daddy to your big daddy for his birthday—don’t bite them!" Jian Ye scolded his furry child.
Qiu Qiu seemed to understand his daddy’s words. He let out a little "awoo," rolled over playfully, then licked Jian Ye’s foot with his tongue out.
"Quit showing off—today’s not about you. Go play by yourself." Jian Ye threw a ball, and the pup took off to chase the moving toy.
Once the clingy furball was out of the way, Yi Siyu finally had the chance to open the gifts Jian Ye had given him.
The longer box contained a tie—a wine-red one with a subtle pinstripe, made of smooth, high-quality fabric, very elegant.
The small square box held a pair of cufflinks. Black with a silver border, shaped like a puppy’s face, as adorable as Qiu Qiu’s. Though they weren’t Yi Siyu’s usual style, he loved them.
Noticing the English initials of their names engraved on the side of the cufflinks, Yi Siyu asked, "Custom-made?"
Jian Ye nodded, rubbing his neck awkwardly. "The tie was something I picked out online. I noticed you often use this brand, so I chose a color different from your usual ones..."
"The design for the cufflinks was drawn by me. You know I’m not good at drawing, so I just sketched a rough idea. Zhuang Yao helped finalize the design... These probably don’t compare to one of your expensive watches..."
Yi Siyu pulled Jian Ye into a hug, cutting off his words. He held him tightly, nuzzling his face into Jian Ye’s neck. "I love your gifts."
He had once said he’d love anything Jian Ye gave him, and he’d meant it. Especially when Jian Ye had put so much thought into it—even if these items weren’t luxurious, they carried his heartfelt intentions.
Of course he was thrilled with a gift his wife had worked so hard to prepare.
"You’re kinda sweaty. Go take a shower first." Jian Ye interrupted Yi Siyu’s affectionate moment.
Yi Siyu froze, genuinely wondering if he really stank enough to offend him.
He flushed, suddenly self-conscious. "I’ll hop in the shower right now."
The Yi Siyu of old would never have believed such words, but now he was so swept up in the happiness Jian Ye had brought him today, never once considering that Jian Ye would never say such things to him.
How refined was Yi Siyu? With a hint of fastidiousness, he would never allow himself to carry any unpleasant odor—his clothes always carried a cool, fresh scent.
Now, getting ribbed by Jian Ye, the man felt kinda bummed. He had indeed sweated a bit while out shopping with Jian Ye today, so he didn’t doubt Jian Ye’s olfactory judgment.
Because of that one remark, Yi Siyu ended up taking two extra showers.
When he stepped out of the bathroom, the lights in the room were dim, and he could just make out someone lying on the bed.
Without thinking, he murmured, "Baby? Asleep?"
The figure on the bed turned their head. "No..."
Jian Ye was bundled up completely in a blanket, cocooning his entire body. Yi Siyu thought it was weird and asked, "Are you cold? I’ll turn on the heater."
Early spring in Yunjing still carried a chill, but today’s temperature wasn’t low—it was just right.
Yet he cared more about Jian Ye’s comfort. If Jian Ye felt cold, he’d find a way to warm the room.
Just as Yi Siyu was about to turn up the heat, a slender, beautiful hand emerged from the blanket, tugging at the hem of his robe.
"Not cold."
Not only not cold—but running hot.
Yi Siyu looked down and saw the glimmering decorative chain around Jian Ye’s wrist, freezing for a second.
Only then did he finally sense something amiss. The boy on the bed gazed at him with bedroom eyes, giving off this irresistible vibe—unlike his usual image of a pure college student. Today, Jian Ye was... seductive.
The man got down on one knee on the bed, unable to resist leaning closer. "What are you doing?"
"The last gift of the day." Jian Ye watched as Yi Siyu’s pupils darkened. "Do you want to uncover it and see?"
As if under a spell, Yi Siyu didn’t hesitate to slowly pull back the covers.
The sight on the bed had him breathing hard.
"Yèyè, you..."
"Found it in your closet." Jian Ye said matter-of-factly. "That day, I brought it back along with my dirty laundry. I washed it again myself."
"When I saw it in your closet, I guessed... it wasn’t the clothes you liked, but..."
The boy slowly sat up, the red gauze on his body not glaring under the bedside lamp but instead softened by the bedside light.
A warm body molded against his in an instant. Before Yi Siyu knew what was happening, those arms draped in red gauze had already wound around his neck.
With a slight tug, he fell back into the plush bedding alongside the other.
The next second, the dancer’s long, slender legs locked around his hips.
"Jian Ye..."
Yi Siyu’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he called the other’s full name for the first time when they were alone, his voice gone rough.
This scene was nothing he could've imagined. In mere seconds, it was like he was under a spell, his body frozen against the other’s.
Within the silent volcano, molten matter surged under immense pressure—ready to blow at any moment.
Yi Siyu felt like he was the volcano on the verge of eruption, ready to erupt and consume everything at any moment.
Yet the brat beneath him was determined to play the game of "seduction," deliberately stripping Yi Siyu of all restraint, waiting for him to reveal his most dangerous side.
"Are you sure about this? You’ll have to take leave tomorrow," the man growled, voice rough with warning, his hand gripping the other’s waist.
"Already taken care of," Jian Ye replied with brazen defiance, still teasing. "Before, I wore this to perform for an audience, and you didn’t like it. Now, I’m wearing it just for you..."
"Do you like this gift, *gege*?"
*Author's Note*
Jian·Da Ji·Ye: Today, I’m *gege’s* honey!
Yi Siyu: You’re *really* asking for it!
