Chapter 97: Just Look for Me
by 橙子不涩Chapter 97: Just Come to Me
Jian Ye peeked out from behind Yi Siyu’s back and gave Qin Fei an apologetic smile. “Um… yeah, that’s right.”
Qin Fei’s sharp gaze swept over, meeting Yi Siyu’s eyes unabashedly for a moment before his thin lips curled into a smirk. He clapped his hands lightly. “You’re a lucky man, President Yi. Your kid here is quite something.”
It was precisely the term “little one” that had initially led Qin Fei to misunderstand—he sometimes used similar phrasing when introducing his younger sister. Logically, it wasn’t a big deal, just a minor misunderstanding that didn’t affect anything.
Yet, why did he suddenly feel a sense of loss, as if something precious and beloved had slipped away from him?
Such emotions shouldn’t exist for someone like Qin Fei. Since childhood, whatever he wanted, he fought for decisively, never hesitating. Getting hung up on one person was utterly impossible.
Unwilling to dwell on that fleeting sense of loss, Qin Fei maintained his usual cool, no-nonsense attitude.
“Thank you for stepping in to save him again. Since you’re now in Yunjing, as the host, I must properly host you for dinner. If you have any requests or need help, feel free to ask. For saving my partner, I’ll repay it within my means anytime.”
Yi Siyu spoke solemnly and sincerely. Though he had deliberately flaunted his possessiveness earlier upon learning Qin Fei had rescued Jian Ye, he was genuinely respectful and grateful for the debt owed.
Qin Fei lazily smiled. “Dinner won't be necessary. I promised Jian Ye before—no matter the danger, if it’s within my power, the Qins will go all out. Today just happened to fulfill that promise…”
Jian Ye couldn’t help interjecting, “But you saved me twice. Either way, I should repay you once more. If you ever need anything in the future, you can just come to—mmph!”
Yi Siyu’s large hand covered Jian Ye’s talkative mouth. He spoke in his stead, “Just come to me.”
Qin Fei paused for a second, then slid a hand into his pocket, lowering his head with a helpless smirk. “If you insist on keeping such careful track… fine. There is one thing where perhaps President Yi could help me.”
He raised his eyes, arching a meaningful brow. “The Qin Group is planning to expand into Yunjing. Perhaps President Yi could help me pick a location for my company?”
…
The swift, lightning-fast police operation concluded with the arrest of Huang Zongqiang and his criminal associates.
Yi Siyu agreed to help Qin Fei without questioning why the Qin family, based in S City all these years, suddenly sought to expand into Yunjing. To him, it was a simple favor, an easy way to return the favor.
Meanwhile, Jian Ye sat in Yi Siyu’s car, on a lengthy call with his roommates.
Zheng Yan answered, putting it on speaker so everyone could hear.
“I’m fine. I’m already on my way home. How’s your brother?”
“Xiao Xia’s right next to me. Aside from some injuries and looking exhausted, he’s okay. But Jian Ye, you—you scared the hell out of us!”
“…” Jian Ye stayed silent, feeling guilty as his roommates took turns lecturing him.
“If Zheng Yan’s brother hadn’t mentioned seeing you get drugged and taken, we wouldn’t have known! A Ye, you can’t be this reckless again!” Li Xiangchi sounded so agitated he was still worked up just talking about it.
“You said you’d help Old Zheng look into his brother’s situation—we thought you’d delegate it! Aren’t you the Jian family heir? Why would you personally go undercover? Xiao Ye, did you think you were in an action movie?” Liu Mingchang teased deliberately.
Finally, Zheng Yan spoke seriously. “If I’d known you’d put yourself in danger like that for my brother, I wouldn’t have told you. Next time, at least run it by us first.”
“Exactly! If anyone’s going to take risks, it should be us brothers doing it for you! Save the one-man hero routine for your next life—this life, you’ve got us. No more going it alone!” Li Xiangchi added.
Jian Ye couldn’t explain he’d had a safety net. Even as they scolded him, his heart warmed at their concern—he knew it came from concern.
"Still, we have to thank you. We heard it was you who called the police. Though it was a bit reckless this time, we all admire you for it."
Zheng Yan, who rarely spoke much, had said more today than usual.
Jian Ye listened quietly, occasionally responding with a word or two, his eyes gradually softening with a gentle glow.
The call with his roommates only ended when the car finally arrived home.
Back at home, Jian Ye huddled timidly behind Yi Siyu like a little quail. He had mentioned accepting punishment upon returning, and now his heart fluttered nervously at the thought.
Would Yi Siyu really pull down his pants and spank him?
He had never been spanked in his life. If the other man really intended to do so...
Well, it wouldn’t be so bad at home—no one would see, and even if he yelped loudly, it wouldn’t be embarrassing.
If he took the initiative, maybe he could even negotiate for a "suspended sentence" or leniency.
Yi Siyu remained oblivious to Jian Ye’s little schemes. He made a call, specifically instructing Special Assistant Xu to keep an eye on the matter.
Anyone who dared lay a hand on his person would suffer—Huang Zongqiang would rot in prison without seeing daylight.
The police were still deep into follow-up investigations into Yutai Media. Yi Siyu had never paid much attention to entertainment companies before.
For this, he even asked Huo Kai about the company’s standing in the industry.
Huo Kai said Huang Zongqiang was just a sleazy old creep who got off on coercion and backroom deals—something everyone in the circle knew.
And this industry had been rotten for ages, with an overall terrible atmosphere. But this time, Huang Zongqiang had crossed the wrong person and was completely finished.
After today, plenty would probably lay low. Huang Zongqiang’s downfall would be a cautionary tale.
Hanging up the phone, Yi Siyu thought Jian Ye was probably still rattled from today’s ordeal—after all, it was his first time facing such a vile and dirty scene.
He needed to comfort his wife properly.
Turning around, he found the young man lying face-down on the sofa, his butt stuck up in a weirdly suggestive pose.
Jian Ye slowly turned his head, squirming awkwardly. "If you’re worried about your hand hurting, you can use a tool... but just don’t go too hard. I have a dance competition in a few days, and I need my hips in working order."
Yi Siyu: "..."
The man rubbed his forehead, at a loss over his wife’s antics. What the hell goes through that little head all day?
In Jian Ye’s mind, was his husband really the type to resort to violence so easily?
Jian Ye waited for a long time, but the expected spanking never came. Just as he was about to lift his head, he was suddenly swept up into the air.
Yi Siyu had picked him up.
"If you’re so eager for punishment, let’s go to the bedroom. I’ll ‘educate’ you properly."
Today’s incident couldn’t be blamed on Jian Ye, but it was a wake-up call.
He needed to educate Jian Ye about the harsh realities of the entertainment industry. If Jian Ye was determined to enter this world in the future, he wouldn’t blindly stop him—instead, he would strengthen his protection.
Yi Siyu would be Jian Ye’s strongest shield—the best assistants, bodyguards, and agents—nothing less than perfect.
He wanted Jian Ye to be the brightest star in the darkness, shining fearlessly, unbothered by the clouds, because he’d sweep away every shadow before they could touch him.
Those filthy things won't ever get close to Jian Ye again.
...
Under Yi Siyu's affectionate "discipline," Jian Ye soon lay *panting* on the bed, eyes brimming with tears.
The man leaned down to kiss away Jian Ye's tears, his voice low and deliberate. "I know you have a competition, so I'll hold off on half for now. The rest of your punishment will be dished out in full after your event."
Jian Ye felt this "temporary pardon" was even more torturous—he'd rather get it over with immediately.
His body went weak again. This man always knew how to find his pressure points, leaving him hanging, wound unbearably tight.
Jian Ye felt weightless, as if he had been lifted to the clouds only to be suddenly let go, plummeting until his heart nearly burst.
Just as warmth was about to swallow him, he was abruptly snatched back, his body jolting as his racing heart threatened to leap out of his chest.
Clutching Yi Siyu's hand, Jian Ye hoarsely forced out two words: "Don't stop."
Only then did a faint smile appear in Yi Siyu's dark eyes. "Weren’t you so bold earlier, demanding punishment? Can’t take it now?"
Jian Ye swallowed, exhaled sharply, then wrapped his arms fiercely around Yi Siyu’s neck. "Stop dragging it out!"
After that, the pent-up spring tides surged through the floodgates, rushing wildly into the current.
The boy's hair clung damply to his temples, his delicate nose dotted with sweat, too spent to wipe it away.
Yi Siyu took care of changing the sheets and cleaning up the scattered tissues.
After washing his hands, he poured a glass of warm water and brought it to Jian Ye’s lips.
Jian Ye gulped it down like a dying man, his exhausted body feeling reborn—for the first time, water tasted sweet.
After finishing the entire glass, his throat soothed, he grasped Yi Siyu’s fingers, rubbing the pads lightly.
The lingering flush at the corners of Jian Ye’s eyes hadn’t faded, his voice still soft and sweet. "The calluses on your hands aren’t thick… just a thin layer. For me, they’re just right."
Yi Siyu’s breath hitched as he caught that mischievous hand. "Don’t forget the pain just because it’s over. Remember how you begged earlier?"
Leaning close to Jian Ye’s ear, he *whispered*, "Ye Bao (lit. "Treasure Ye"), if you want to sleep tonight, behave."
Jian Ye’s face flushed deeper, his boldness growing as he *whispered* back, "*Gege*, it felt so good… don’t let up."
Fearing the boy would push his luck, Yi Siyu carried him to the filled bathtub. "Wash yourself. Call if you need me."
Jian Ye leaned over the tub’s edge, laughing uncontrollably as he watched Yi Siyu’s hasty escape.
This man—playing it cool when his ears were burning red.
Even if Yi Siyu really wanted to do more tonight, he wouldn’t refuse.
"Jian Ye: Er Tong, he pampers me rotten~"
"System 748: Host, what? I’m in the doghouse—can’t see or hear anything."
"Jian Ye: Cut the act! If you’re locked up, how can you reply?"
"System 748: Couldn’t before, but after the upgrade, I have some freedom now! I can hear when you call for me. Other non-system conversations are auto-muted, so… did you and your man do something *unmentionable* again? You seemed really feeling it this time."
"Jian Ye: It didn’t go all the way. I just think… he’s so thoughtful. All I can do is cook for him—I’m pretty much deadweight otherwise."
"System 748: Huh, host, don't say that. Even if you do nothing and just stand there like a vase in front of him, he'd be thrilled. Especially every time I get locked in the black room, your hubby's happiness levels skyrocket—he's ecstatic."
"Jian Ye: ..."
A/N:
Jian Xiaogou: Come hit me, quick! (butt wiggle gif.)
CEO Yi: ... (Damn! My wife's wild—wanna bang!)
