Chapter 96: Jian Ye is My Wife
by 橙子不涩Chapter 96: *Jian Ye Is My Husband*
Along with several police cars, a black private vehicle also arrived.
Yi Siyu once again experienced the adrenaline of reckless driving. He had been at the company when he unexpectedly received a call from Jian Ye’s roommate.
Before his wedding with Jian Ye, he had saved the contact information of Jian Ye’s roommates, just in case he needed to reach them in an emergency.
There had never been any interaction between them before, so when Zheng Yan called, Yi Siyu was quite surprised.
However, within seconds of answering the call, his expression completely darkened.
Special Assistant Xu could visibly see his boss exuding a chilling aura, his chiseled face like frozen granite, with undeniable panic and urgency.
After hanging up, Yi Siyu immediately drove toward the destination.
Zheng Yan said Jian Ye might be in trouble…
Zheng Yan hurriedly explained his younger brother’s ordeal and described how his brother had witnessed Jian Ye being drugged and taken away.
What would that disgusting old man do to Jian Ye after taking him away? Anyone familiar with such places could foresee the outcome.
Encountering traffic on the way, Yi Siyu angrily slammed the steering wheel before changing routes and tearing through back alleys to reach the *Laina Club*.
Before even entering the street, he heard the surrounding wailing sirens.
Was the police’s destination the same as his? It seemed someone had called the authorities.
But this did nothing to ease Yi Siyu’s worry and tension.
As soon as he got out of the car, he tried to rush inside but was stopped by several officers.
"Hey! This area is under police control. Unauthorized personnel are not allowed to enter!" a young officer said.
Yi Siyu glanced at him sideways, his gaze cold. "My husband is still inside. He’s a victim. I need to personally confirm his condition. Move. Now."
"Sir, rest assured, our officers have already secured all involved parties, and the victims are under protection. You’ll need to wait here." Another officer, noting Yi Siyu’s attire and demeanor, sensed he was someone of importance and adopted a placating tone.
"Can you guarantee every single perpetrator is contained? I received word that my husband was drugged and may have been taken to one of the rooms… Do you understand the danger in that?"
Hearing this, the officer’s expression darkened, and he quickly radioed his colleagues inside the club.
"Let him in. I’ll accompany him," a wirey, broad-shouldered cop stepped forward from the crowd and addressed the two junior officers.
"Lieutenant Xiao?" This was the leader of their Second Unit, and the two immediately snapped to attention respectfully.
"We’ve met before. Third Young Master Yi, been a while." Lieutenant Xiao greeted Yi Siyu, who remained cold, acknowledging him with a terse nod.
Lieutenant Xiao still remembered their first encounter—it had been at night, seemingly on the day of Third Young Master Yi’s wedding.
Three spoiled brats had been brought to the station, bloodied and bawling.
Upon learning they had insulted Third Young Master Yi’s spouse before being handed over, Lieutenant Xiao had personally made sure they faced consequences.
Now, Yi Siyu had rushed to the scene once again for his beloved?
Lieutenant Xiao hadn’t expected Third Young Master Yi to be so deeply in love. He had assumed silver-spoon heirs like him treated marriage as mere play, but the urgency in the man’s demeanor clearly spoke of genuine care.
Lieutenant Xiao had already contacted his colleagues inside. The main floor of the club was under control, and officers were sweeping room by room through the private suites upstairs.
Most of them were people from Yutai Media or those who had collaborated with Yutai Media. Hardly any were actual patrons.
But to avoid false arrests, the police still had to verify each case one by one.
Captain Xiao went with Yi Siyu to the upstairs guest rooms. They bypassed the already-searched floors for now.
Since the police were checking from the bottom up, they started their search from the top floor downward.
When the two reached the 18th floor, they noticed two men in black standing in the hallway, guarding a particular room.
The odd behavior drew Captain Xiao and Yi Siyu’s notice.
A room guarded like that had to be hiding something.
However, what puzzled them was that the two men in black showed no fear upon seeing Captain Xiao in his police uniform, nor did they try to warn anyone inside.
“Who are you? Why are you lingering here? You know this place is being raided, right?” Captain Xiao frowned and asked.
A Jin perked up at the sight of the cops. “Officer, you’re finally here! Just to clarify, we’re innocent and don’t know anyone in this club. We’re just guests here by chance.”
A Guang added, “We heard a commotion from this room, so we came to check.”
A Jin recalled the scene where they had rescued Jian Ye from this room earlier and felt it necessary to report it to the police.
He quickly continued, “A kid was dragged in here—some creep drugged him and tried to molest him! When we got here, he—”
Before A Jin could finish, Yi Siyu’s eyes burned with cold rage.
Without waiting for him to complete his sentence, Yi Siyu rammed the door with full force.
Captain Xiao, also shocked, sensed that Yi Siyu’s lover might very well be inside and immediately helped him break the door down.
Working together, they quickly forced the door open.
The sight inside was disgusting—the naked old man was still lost in his sick act, completely oblivious to their intrusion, clearly out of his mind, likely under the influence of drugs.
The air was thick with sickening, unspeakable noises.
Yi Siyu saw red with fury at the sight of the vile man’s actions. The idea of his beloved being defiled was unbearable.
For a moment, he even felt the urge to kill. Acting on instinct, Yi Siyu lunged forward and socked the old man on the bed hard, then twisted his arm and flung him over his shoulder in a brutal throw.
Huang Zongqiang let out a pained scream as he hit the floor before blacking out instantly.
“Yèyè!” Yi Siyu turned to the person on the bed, only to freeze in shock when he saw an unfamiliar face. This wasn’t what he’d expected.
Still, he grabbed the unconscious man on the floor and slapped him awake. “Talk! Where did you hide Jian Ye?”
Captain Xiao was stunned by Yi Siyu’s raw skill. Before he could react, Yi Siyu had already struck with lightning speed.
Worried this might turn deadly, he quickly stepped in to restrain Yi Siyu, then cuffed the man on the floor.
“Calm down. He’s already incapacitated. If you attack him now, it’ll just screw you over legally later. Leave this to us. Since your lover isn’t in this room, let’s keep searching—”
“Brother Siyu!” Just then, a familiar voice called from the doorway.
Yi Siyu turned around and, upon seeing the person he had been desperately searching for, bolted over and crushed him in a hug.
Jian Ye’s brain short-circuited. Oh no, oh no, oh no—how the hell did his husband get here?!
Has word really gotten around this fast? Or is his husband some kind of wizard?!
Jian Ye genuinely didn’t dare admit the plans he had made in advance, afraid that going home would mean his ass getting whooped.
So he stammered, "I—I was tricked into coming here. They slipped something in my drink, and then... I was lucky enough to be rescued by Young Master Qin’s people."
That was a lot to take in, and Yi Siyu hadn’t fully processed it yet.
He had been terrified earlier, dead sure the guy getting violated by that creep in the room was Jian Ye. At that moment, he was drowning in fear and guilt.
He regretted not picking Jian Ye up after class, regretted not calling him more often.
Jian Ye didn’t know what to say either. At this moment, he could only let the other man silently hold him.
He knew he had screwed up again, had promised not to make this man worry about him—yet things had turned out the opposite.
By the time the police arrived, the situation was mostly resolved. Qin Fei had helped Jian Ye look for Zheng Xiaoxia, but there was no sign of him. Jian Ye guessed that Zheng Xiaoxia had probably bolted during the commotion.
Just as he had retrieved his phone, he saw a ton of missed calls from Zheng Yan.
When he was about to call back, he heard the commotion outside, followed by Yi Siyu calling his name.
Qin Fei’s room wasn’t far from 1808—just a slightly winding route on the same floor.
The sound of Yi Siyu and the others kicking the door in had startled the entire floor.
By the time Jian Ye rushed over, he witnessed the moment his husband personally handed Huang Zongqiang his ass.
His husband looked hot as hell throwing punches, but Yi Siyu’s expression made his heart ache—the man had done it all for him.
The two embraced for a long while before A Jin butted in awkwardly: "Uh... sorry, but you’re stepping on my foot. Maybe you could move somewhere else to hug?"
Jian Ye: "..."
Inside the room, Captain Xiao was rounding up his crew to clean up the scene. Outside, Yi Siyu tightly clutched Jian Ye’s hand like a lifeline, listening to the boy’s murmured explanations.
"They took my phone. I just saw the messages from Brother Yan saying his younger brother is fine now, so I’m relieved. And also..."
"I’m sorry for not discussing coming here with you beforehand. I wasn’t thinking straight, thought things would be simpler. When we get home... I’ll make it right by you, okay?"
The boy looked up at Yi Siyu with puppy-dog eyes, and Yi Siyu’s resolve melted on the spot.
"I wasn’t considerate enough either. You’re still green about how the world works—it’s normal not to know about the ugly things in these circles. I should have warned you beforehand. It’s my fault."
Jian Ye was about to ugly-cry. How could this man still take the blame at a time like this? His words only made Jian Ye feel even guiltier.
He buried his face in Yi Siyu’s chest and rubbed his face into him. "You’re too lenient with me. If I say it’s my fault, then it’s my fault. Do whatever you want to me when we get back."
A Jin watched from the side, totally lost.
Was this... normal brotherly affection?
He remembered the last time Yi Siyu visited the Qin family in S City—Jian Ye had also called him "brother," and everyone had assumed they were siblings.
But now, something wasn’t adding up.
Would anyone willingly bury themselves in their brother’s arms and ask to be punished without complaint?
The atmosphere was so awkward it hurt, and in the midst of it, Qin Fei came striding over from the other end.
He hadn't forgotten his purpose for coming to this club. Just as he finished handling his personal matters and returned, he saw Jian Ye and Yi Siyu in each other's arms.
Even if he were the least sensitive about relationships, he should have caught on by now.
"What exactly is your relationship?" Qin Fei asked directly.
Yi Siyu loosened his hold slightly on the person in his arms and looked at Qin Fei with a look that screamed "mine." "We were in a rush last time, and I forgot to introduce him properly. Jian Ye is my wife."
