Chapter 29: His Wife Feels So Soft

    Lanfeng Bay Estate.

Yi Siyu returned home late at night.

He had expected complete darkness upon opening the door, but instead was greeted by a soft glow.

A warm yellow light remained on in the entryway.

The exhaustion in the man’s eyes instantly melted into tenderness, and the corners of his lips curled upward.

His little puppy had left the light on for him.

To avoid waking anyone, Yi Siyu took a shower in the first-floor bathroom.

Afterward, he went upstairs and gently pushed open the master bedroom door. The soft, even sound of the boy’s breathing welcomed him—steady and deep.

Under the red wedding blanket, a small mound rose slightly.

Yi Siyu treaded lightly, approaching the bed to find half of the boy’s face buried beneath the covers.

Carefully, he tugged the blanket down just enough to reveal the boy’s flushed, delicate face, looking adorable in his sleep.

In that moment, Yi Siyu’s heart melted at the sight before him.

The boy’s lips twitched slightly, as if mumbling something in his dreams.

After a few whispers, his brows furrowed.

Yi Siyu leaned in closer and heard the words: “Mmm… don’t touch me… stay away… don’t pull my clothes…”

His face fell instantly, followed by a deep ache in his chest.

So, the earlier incident still haunted him…

It had left lasting trauma after all.

Some people are naturally sensitive, and after experiencing trauma like this, recovery might take time. Without proper care, things could get worse.

Yi Siyu had taken some psychology courses and knew that now more than ever, he needed to give his beloved a sense of safety and reassurance.

He slipped off his shoes and climbed onto the bed, lying carefully on his side facing the boy. He dared not touch him yet, keeping a safe distance.

With his insecure little puppy, he needed even more patience.

After all, he was still just a kid.

A young sprout needed to be nurtured with love—it couldn’t be forced.

Let him grow a little more. They had all the time in the world.

    ...

Jian Ye was having a dream.

In it, a bunch of pigs were chasing him—pigs that had just rolled around in a pile of mud and filth, completely disgusting.

In the dream, he wore brand-new white clothes, and when the pigs caught up, they rubbed their dirty snouts against him and tugged at his sleeves, refusing to let him go. It was gross and annoying. No matter how hard Jian Ye flailed his arms, he couldn’t shake them off.

In the dream, there was no logic at all. One moment he was herding pigs, and in the next, a strong gust of wind scattered them.

But the wind made Jian Ye shiver violently. Just as he was looking for shelter, he suddenly spotted a cave flickering with firelight.

He hurried toward the cave, and sure enough, it was exceptionally warm inside—a perfect shelter from the wind.

Jian Ye curled up in the cozy cave, not wanting to leave at all.

    ...

In the latter half of the night, Yi Siyu noticed the boy had kicked off the blanket, leaving half his body exposed. Shaking his head helplessly, he was about to tuck him back in when the boy rolled over and crashed straight into his arms.

The man froze, looking down at the oblivious boy in his arms, unable to bring himself to push him away.

Despite the distress Jian Ye had felt earlier, he didn’t seem to reject physical contact with him—which was something.

The boy seemed to treat the man in front of him like a body pillow, wrapping his arms around his waist and even giving his abs a few casual strokes.

    Yi Siyu: "..."

Those restless hands nearly roused something primal in him.

Gently grasping the boy’s wrist to stop his mischief, he waited until his breathing steadied again after some fussing.

Only then did Yi Siyu relax and finally drift off to sleep.

    ...

When Jian Ye woke up in the morning, the first thing he saw was an impossibly handsome face looming right before his eyes.

Startled, he tried to pull back, only to find his hand trapped in his grip.

    Jian Ye: "..."

He had assumed Yi Siyu wouldn’t return for the night, so he’d gone to bed without concern.

He knew that due to the butterfly effect caused by his transmigration, the original plot—where the protagonist never once entered Paohui Jianye’s room—was no longer possible.

He didn’t expect the man to sleep separately from him, but he also wasn’t ready to accept being so intimately entangled like this.

Yet, their bodies fit together as if made for each other—like a gem in its setting, perfect together.

Jian Ye had to admit, he’d slept deeply in the man’s embrace, untroubled by strange dreams in the latter half of the night.

The warmth he’d craved in his sleep had been Yi Siyu’s arms all along.

His first thought was to check his clothes—still properly fastened.

On their wedding night, with a young spouse in his arms, the man had still restrained himself from acting on base instincts. That was rare.

For some reason, since yesterday, Jian Ye’s impression of this man had changed considerably.

Around Yi Siyu, he could lower his guard and offer his trust.

So even now, lying so close together, he didn’t think the man would make advances.

After a few failed attempts to free his hand, Jian Ye relented and allowed the man to hold it.

He sighed. Perhaps it was the warmth of the sunlight, or perhaps the comfort of the embrace—but before long, Jian Ye was asleep again.

When he woke up from sleeping in, the sun was blazing overhead.

Jian Ye rubbed his eyes and sat up just as the door was pushed open.

The man was dressed in comfy loungewear, holding a glass of milk. His eyes crinkled with a smile when he saw him. "Awake?"

"Si Yu Ge, you came back very late last night, didn’t you? I didn’t even hear you come in. Why didn’t you sleep a little longer?" Jian Ye said, slipping on his slippers and tugging at his crooked pajama collar.

The boy’s hair was completely tousled from sleep, sticking out every which way like a puppy whose fur had been rubbed the wrong way.

Yi Siyu loved seeing Jian Ye in this drowsy, just-woken-up state—this unguarded, at-home side of him was something only he would get to see from now on.

"I’ve slept enough. I’m not tired. Go wash up and drink the milk," Yi Siyu said, thinking that since the boy was still growing, he needed plenty of nutrition.

Jian Ye dazedly went to wash up, feeling like an infant.

Why did he sense something like "wanting to bottle-feed him" in the man’s eyes?

    ...

Jian Ye woke up late and ended up having brunch instead.

There wasn’t anything particularly special about the day—just bringing over some essentials into the villa.

Truthfully, the house was already fully stocked. On his first day as Third Young Master Yi’s spouse, he didn’t have to do anything at all, just watching as the hired hands carried things in and out.

All he had to do was kick back on the sofa, eating fruit and watching TV.

This kind of lifestyle could easily turn him into a total couch potato, and he already had a reputation for being a "useless pretty boy"...

Jian Ye decided he needed to keep himself busy.

Soon, it would be Yun Chuan U’s annual Arts Fest.

The classical dance department students were putting together a show, though not everyone was required to participate—only twenty were selected.

Jian Ye felt his skills were just so-so; his only advantage was raw talent.

Yet, he had been chosen by that woman Tang Ying with no way to say no.

Tang Ying had big plans for him and even assigned him the center position.

Under the green-eyed stares of his classmates, Jian Ye had no choice but to take the task.

Because of the wedding, he had taken a week off from school and missed a bunch of practice.

Since he had time at home today, instead of vegging out, he might as well practice some dance moves.

After Yi Siyu finished organizing Jian Ye’s belongings, he went to the living room but didn’t see the person who was supposed to be lounging on the sofa.

He asked the Yi family bodyguards he had called over to help with the move, "Where is he?"

The bodyguards naturally knew who he was referring to and answered truthfully, "The Young Master’s spouse went to that room."

It was the first time he had heard this title, and though he wasn’t entirely used to it yet, he liked it very much.

He’d make sure they all got a bonus later.

Following the direction the bodyguards had pointed, he found Jian Ye in the dance studio.

Thinking that Jian Ye might be practicing dance, Yi Siyu didn’t want to disturb him, even easing the door open slowly.

Leaving just a crack in the door, Yi Siyu could still clearly see the dancer’s position inside.

The boy bent backward into a deep arch, his body flipping smoothly and completing a half-roll before pressing his chest and abdomen against the floor. Using his knees for leverage, he lifted his hips high.

Sweat had soaked through his tank top, clinging tightly to his lean torso.

Yet he seemed completely unaware, jumping up from the ground and executing a perfect straddle jump mid-air—absolutely stunning.

A series of highly difficult movements were executed seamlessly, leaving the man at the door completely spellbound.

This was Yi Siyu’s first time seeing the boy dance, and this wasn’t even a choreographed routine—just some practice moves—yet it had already left him awestruck.

He thought to himself in awe, how could a boy dance so beautifully?

Such flexibility was a pleasure to watch, without a trace of stiffness or awkwardness.

His partner’s body was so soft, completely different from those muscle-bound guys you see everywhere.

Yi Siyu suddenly felt his throat go dry.

Heat pooled low in his belly, scorching his chest and tightening his groin.

He couldn’t bear to interrupt this beautiful scene, as if any intrusion into this private moment would be a violation of its current romance.

    ……

Jian Ye always devoted himself wholeheartedly to whatever he was doing.

His former acting teacher had once praised his dedication—a great strength of him. Once immersed in something, he wouldn’t be easily distracted by his surroundings.

That was why he had booked roles even in the middle of his university years, keeping a more level head than others.

His desire for fame and fortune wasn’t strong; he did it purely out of love.

Even if it was just a minor role with only a few scenes, he performed with joy.

Though he wasn’t in the Acting Department in this world, dancing had much in common with acting—immersing himself in the emotions conveyed through dance was just as addictive as performing in a play.

Jian Ye had been trying to breathe life into the pure dance techniques he’d mastered through emotion.

He had no idea that even at just thirty percent effort, he’d already left someone utterly captivated.

After finishing a set of movements, Jian Ye instinctively tugged at the hem of his shirt to wipe the sweat from his face.

As a result, his pale, sweat-slicked stomach and waist were inevitably exposed to the air.

Sweat trickled down the curve of his back, beading in the twin hollows of his lower back.

Though the boy didn’t have the defined abs of someone who worked out regularly, he possessed the lean grace of a trained dancer.

Only after wiping his sweat did Jian Ye suddenly snap to awareness, realizing the door was slightly ajar.

A man stood there, staring at him with a hungry, penetrating gaze.

    Jian Ye: "..."

The stare made him instinctively tense up, and he hurriedly pulled his shirt back down.

The man's eyes were like a yawning abyss, as if they could swallow him whole.

He just... didn't do anything weird, did he?

Why am I suddenly feeling scared?
