    Chapter 266: Brutal and Decisive

Sun Liue and Qian Cuifen were terrified stiff. They had been involved in plenty of shady dealings themselves, but this was the first time they had encountered someone as brutal as Ren San.

"What... what are you doing? You're killing him! Let him go now!"

The onlookers were also horrified by Ren San's reaction. Many of the more timid ones shrieked and scrambled back.

Some “kind-hearted” people tried to persuade Ren San.

"Boy, let him go right now! Snatching their girl was already your fault. What you're doing now is illegal—watch out or they'll call the police and have you arrested!"

"Good grief, you still won’t let go? Look at all that blood! This’ll be the death of him! You don’t know the consequences, do you? Kill a man, hang for it!"

"Everyone, hurry and restrain him! This boy’s lost his damn mind—this is really deadly!"

As these inciting words spread, many busybodies actually stepped forward, ready to act heroically.

Ren San wasn’t sure if these people were Sun Liue and Qian Cuifen’s accomplices, but he knew he couldn’t let them get close—otherwise, both he and Sister An’an would be in danger.

Pressing the porcelain shard harder against the thin man’s neck, his eyes filled with ferocity, he snarled at the crowd, "Try me!"

"If you take one step closer, I’ll kill him right here! If he dies, it’ll be because of you!"

As he spoke, Ren San mercilessly pressed the shard deeper.

    "You fucking kidnappers!"

Blood gushed from the thin man’s neck, staining his entire collar red.

Everyone present was frozen. Sun Liue and Qian Cuifen locked eyes, their faces pale with fear.

A voice in the crowd shouted, "You kidnapped their daughter, got caught, and now you’re accusing them of being traffickers? How fucking twisted! Everyone, let’s grab him—I don’t believe he’d actually kill someone!"

Without hesitation, Ren San yanked the man’s hair, forcing his head back, then slammed it against the railing behind him, right over the existing wound.

    *Crack! Crack! Crack!*

Each impact sent shockwaves through the hearts of those watching.

"Gurgled... help... please stop..." the man choked weakly.

Ren San bared his teeth at the middle-aged man who had spoken in the crowd. "Go on, keep talking. Let’s see who croaks first—your accomplice or us!"

The middle-aged man’s eyes flickered, his bravado faltering. "What nonsense are you spouting? Who the hell’s an accomplice? Not my damn problem."

Without waiting for Ren San’s response, he turned and disappeared into the crowd.

Qian Cuifen and Sun Liue were frozen. They glanced around before speaking through gritted teeth to Ren San.

"Put down the shard first... let’s... let’s talk properly."

The thin man in Ren San’s grip let out a feeble plea. "Help... help me... I don’t... want to die..."

His weak cries, combined with the blood covering his face and head, made for a bloody horror.

In such a short time, with his arm broken and so much blood lost, he had been drained to a husk, collapsing limply in Ren San’s grip.

"Hey, if he croaks, you won’t get away with it either. Don’t do something stupid. How about this—we’ll call the police for you, and you can sort it out with them."

Qian Cuifen's face was deathly pale—this was her own younger brother. If anything happened to him, her parents would kill her.

"You take me for a fool?" Ren San glared fiercely at Qian Cuifen. "After what you've done, you dare offer to call the police for me? So you can bring out more of your crew?"

Just then, Liang Jianzhou, a patrol officer from the train station, rushed over with two colleagues.

Ren San's eyes burned with wariness.

Su An had warned him—trust no one. The moment that woman mentioned calling the police, officers appeared. It had to be a setup.

Dragging the thin man closer to Su An, he tightened his grip on the man's neck, his face a mask of cold fury.

He had dragged himself out of that hellhole, finally finding warmth and a real home. Why were these people trying to ruin it?

No. He wouldn’t let anyone destroy this peace. Su An *could not* be harmed—otherwise, he’d have no place left in this family.

Anyone who crossed him—he’d make them pay with their life!!!

His eyes bloodshot, Ren San snarled at the uniformed officers, "Stay back! Or I’ll slit his throat!"

The thin man whimpered in terror, feeling the blade bite into his neck, his eyes wide with mortal fear.

"Ahhh—don’t come closer! He’ll kill me! He really will! P-please... what do you want? Just let me go!"

The patrolling officers were equally alarmed. "Easy there, kid! Take it easy! We’re security personnel from Yangcheng Railway Station. Talk to us—what’s going on?"

Ren San didn’t lower his guard. "Like hell I’ll buy you’re cops!

I think you’re working with *them*! My sister and I just got off the train—we don’t even know these women! Look what they did to her!

First, they claimed she ran off with a man, then that she’s their daughter. And those people in the crowd backing them up—think I don’t see the game you’re running?"

"If we go with them, we’re dead anyway. Why should I stay calm? If they want to hurt us, we’ll take their lackeys down with us!"

Liang Jianzhou’s eyes gleamed shrewdly. He signaled discreetly to a colleague, who melted into the crowd unnoticed.

Once his partner was gone, Liang Jianzhou spoke carefully, "Listen, we *are* railway police. We’re not with them!"

Qian Cuifen, seeing her brother covered in blood, nearly collapsed. "Please, young man... let him go! It—it was a misunderstanding! If this goes on, he’ll die!"

Sun Liue panicked too—things had gone too far. Though Qian Zaocheng was distantly related to her, she couldn’t care less now.

With the police involved, there was no easy way out. Even if they passed it off as a mix-up, they wouldn’t walk free—not with their dirty hands.

Her gaze flickered, and she edged backward, slipping into the crowd.

But the moment she emerged, officers at the perimeter seized her.

Several others who had egged on the chaos got hauled off too.

Ren San, jaw clenched, kept a firm hold on Qian Zaocheng while eyes locked on Liang Jianzhou. He nudged Su An with his foot, voice shaking.

"Su An... Su An, wake up..."

For all his tough talk, he was barely fourteen.

Was Liang Jianzhou on his side or not? Was this hostage any real shield?

And if these *were* real cops... how long till they put a bullet in him for not backing down?
