Chapter 101 No Harm Done, It Won’t Lose a Piece of Flesh
by 参天甲木Chapter 101: No Big Deal, It's Not Like You'll Lose a Chunk of Meat
Du Yang lay on the bed, his fingers slowly releasing the sheets, breathing in short, soft pants, his mind blank, his gaze unfocused as he stared at the warm yellow light on the ceiling.
His heart felt like it was galloping wildly across an endless prairie, unable to see anything clearly, unable to hear any sounds, only the pounding heartbeat in his chest.
Fu Yan wiped his hands with a wet wipe, his Adam's apple bobbed twice as he swallowed with lingering satisfaction. He propped himself up on both sides of the young man, leaning down to study the satisfied, dazed look on his face, patiently waiting for him to slowly come back to his senses.
The young man's cheeks were flushed, his pajamas completely open, and his skin was tinged with pink, like a ripe, juicy peach.
"Baby, did you like it?" Fu Yan asked in a hoarse voice.
The young man's pupils gradually focused, his long eyelashes fluttering as his gaze landed on Fu Yan's lips. He asked shyly, "Did I get you dirty?"
His voice was a bit raspy, shy yet satisfied.
"No." Fu Yan lowered his head and rubbed against the young man's perky little nose. "It tasted great. I really liked it."
Du Yang froze at first, staring blankly at Fu Yan, then understanding what he meant, covered his face with both hands.
"Baby, don't you like it?" Fu Yan's voice was low, teasing him, and reached out to pull the young man's hands away from his face.
He was so shy—he wanted to kiss him hard.
Before he could, the young man lifted his chin the next second and leaned in and kissed him.
Actions speak louder than words—he'd prove he liked it.
The bath towel wrapped around Fu Yan had long since fallen off, and the young man's slender fingers traced over his abs.
Fu Yan let out a muffled groan and kissed his pink lips even harder.
The next morning at breakfast, Du Yang couldn't even hold his chopsticks steady. Fu Yan held back a laugh as he picked up a small soup dumpling and fed it to him.
-
"You worked hard last night, baby."
Seeing him blush again, Fu Yan's heart melted. He picked up the milk and fed it to him, being extra sweet.
"You're the weird one." Du Yang muttered after finishing the milk.
Last night, his hands were sore, but Fu Yan still hadn't finished. He didn't stop after one time; he wanted another.
"Mm, I'm weird then." Fu Yan's eyes were full of laughter. "In the future, I'll have to make you work harder, baby."
Du Yang was speechless.
Now he was starting to think Fu Yan wasn't joking when he said he wouldn't be able to get out of bed the next day.
After breakfast, Fu Yan drove Du Yang to a well-known traditional Chinese medicine hospital in Haicheng.
As they neared the hospital, Du Yang's heart wavered again. He knew his own condition—maybe the physical pain could be solved, but the mental stuff—even a therapist couldn't fix that.
Fu Yan held his hand, interlacing their fingers. "Yangyang, don't be afraid. The doctor I booked is super skilled and a really nice person."
Du Yang took a deep breath and followed Fu Yan into the elevator.
In the consultation room, an old man with white hair, full of energy sat inside.
"Xiao Yan, is this the kid you mentioned?" The old man smiled kindly, his gaze falling on their intertwined hands.
"Dr. Zhu, this is Du Yang." Fu Yan introduced him while pulling Du Yang to sit opposite the old man. "Yangyang, Dr. Zhu is a top authority in Chinese medicine—a real expert."
Du Yang greeted him politely. Dr. Zhu looked him over and kindly asked him to put his wrist on the pulse pillow.
This was different from the Western medical treatment he had imagined. There were no psych tests or complicated forms.
Dr. Zhu asked Fu Yan to wait outside, then began carefully feeling his pulse.
"Child, do you dream a lot at night?" Dr. Zhu's fingers rested on Du Yang's wrist, which bore a few scars, as he observed him closely.
Du Yang nodded. "Can you help me stop having nightmares?"
If he didn't have nightmares, he wouldn't keep Fu Yan up.
Dr. Zhu didn't directly answer his question. Instead, he said, "Let me see your tongue."
Du Yang stuck it out.
Dr. Zhu asked a few more questions, and finally said sympathetically, "Child, you have a weak heart and spleen, qi stagnation with phlegm, and blocked liver qi."
Du Yang didn't understand what these terms meant, but they all sounded bad, making him nervous. "Is it bad?"
"Not serious. Don't stress yourself out about it." Dr. Zhu chuckled. "These days, who doesn't have a few small problems? Relax, I'll get you fixed up for sure."
The consultation lasted nearly an hour before Du Yang came out of Dr. Zhu's office.
Fu Yan, still uneasy, went back to ask about the medication instructions, since taking Chinese medicine would be a long-term course.
Du Yang made up his mind to take the medicine as told. But the next morning, when he saw the bowl of black Chinese medicine that Fu Yan brought over, he wasn't so sure anymore.
The moment he got close to the bowl, the strong herbal smell hit him right in the face. Du Yang pursed his lips and took two steps back.
Fu Yan stood by the table, squinting his eyes. "Yangyang, come here."
The young man reluctantly stepped forward a few paces, turning his face away and tilting his head up to escape the smell.
Fu Yan found his reaction so adorable. He couldn't help but let out a low laugh, then quickly suppressed his smile and said seriously, "Come on, drink the medicine. When you're done, you get a lollipop."
Hearing that there was candy after drinking, the young man's eyes lit up. He took a deep breath, pinched his nose with one hand, and took the bowl with the other.
Gulp, gulp—he chugged it down in a few gulps, then let go of his nose and exhaled loudly, trying to get rid of the bitter taste.
But instead of a lollipop, Fu Yan kissed him.
Their lips and tongues intertwined, and Fu Yan tasted the bitter taste lingering from the young man's mouth.
The young man pushed against his chest, separating them. Fu Yan licked his lips, still savoring it, before finally putting the lollipop into the young man's mouth.
Du Yang looked at Fu Yan a little resentfully, one cheek puffed out as he rolled the lollipop around with his tongue, licking it a few times until the bitterness was replaced by sweetness.
"It's so bitter. Instead of giving me candy, you kissed me."
"It seems kissing doesn't lessen the bitterness of taking medicine." Fu Yan appeared thoughtful, then cupped the young man's face with both hands. "I should have kissed you when you were eating the candy."
With that, he leaned in and kissed him again, leaving the young man wide-eyed with shock.
The young man's eyelashes fluttered, then he wrapped his arms around Fu Yan's neck, responding actively and pushing the lollipop from his mouth into Fu Yan's.
A bitter-sweet taste, with affection in the sweetness—this medicine wasn't so hard to swallow after all.
Friday arrived in no time.
Fu Yan's car stopped in front of the new villa where Granny Lu lived.
Du Yang got out of the car and looked around the yard at his grandmother's new home.
This row of villas was beautifully built, in an even better location than the Lu family's.
As the two were about to enter, another luxury car pulled in, and Lu Ting stepped out slowly.
Seeing Lu Ting, Du Yang instinctively stepped back closer to Fu Yan, and Fu Yan held his hand and gave it a gentle squeeze.
"Hello, Uncle Lu." Fu Yan said politely, his expression calm.
Du Yang steadied himself, trying to calm down. Although his grandmother had told him earlier that Lu Ting had come to beg Fu Yan for leniency for Lu Yu, he also had his own goal for this visit—to obtain a sample of Lu Ting's hair or blood for a paternity test.
"Xiao Yan, long time no see. What a coincidence to bump into you today."
Lu Ting exchanged pleasantries, glancing discreetly at Du Yang, then shifted the topic. "Xiao Yan, about Xiao Yu's matter—could you let it slide? He was just a little immature, and he didn't actually cause any real harm to Classmate Du. How about you drop the charges? He knows he was wrong."
Du Yang's face turned pale instantly. He unconsciously tightened his grip on Fu Yan's hand, his heart clenching painfully.
No harm caused?
Does he have to die for it to be considered harm?
"Heh." Fu Yan let out a cold laugh, tightening his hold on the boy's hand. "Then letting Lu Yu spend some time in jail won't cause any harm either. It's not like he'll lose a limb."
"How is that no harm?" Lu Ting's expression darkened as he shot back. "If Xiao Yu goes to a detention center, the psychological damage he'll suffer is huge!"
Just as he finished speaking, Grandpa Fu came stomping out of the villa and marched straight toward Lu Ting.
Without a word, Grandpa Fu grabbed Lu Ting by the ear and yanked him toward the house. "Listen to yourself, is that any way to talk? Today, I'll teach you clueless old rascal a lesson on behalf of your father!"
