    Chapter 187: Extra Story 3

Seeing Fu Yan take out the marriage certificates and unhurriedly open them right in front of the guy, revealing the information inside.

The young man's eyes flew wide open, and he stammered, "You... you two got married three years ago?"

Lu Yang's last hope died. He silently covered his face, not daring to look at his brother and grandmother.

Three years ago, during the summer of his freshman year, Fu Yan wanted to get the marriage certificate, but Lu Yang didn't want to make it so high-profile.

After returning from Nantai Mountain, the two secretly went to the Lu family home to get Lu Yang's household registration booklet, secretly got their marriage certificate, and didn't hold a wedding ceremony.

Lu Yang's plan was to get the certificate first, to give Fu Yan peace of mind, and then get married after graduation, pretending to go get the certificate then so his family wouldn't see the date on it.

That way, his grandmother and brother wouldn't know he got married so early.

The wedding was set for September, and everything seemed perfect—it had never come to light.

Now Fu Yan had just whipped it out in a fit of jealousy.

Lu Yang covered his face and snuggled deeper into Fu Yan's arms, wishing he could turn into a handkerchief and tuck himself into Fu Yan's pocket.

Fu Yan, in a great mood, unhurriedly put the two little red books back in his pocket and looked at the guy with a hint of disdain.

"Eyesight that bad? Want me to show you again? Yangyang and I are legally married. Are you still shameless enough to try to be the third wheel?"

Catching sight of Grandpa huffing as he got up and stormed over, and Lu Jin'an being held back by Grandma Lu, Fu Yan's patience ran out, and his voice turned cold.

    "Beat it before there's trouble."

The tall guy looked like a deflated balloon. "I'm sorry for the trouble, Lu Yang. I didn't know you were married."

Lu Yang covered his face with one hand and waved the other, shooing the guy away.

Then he grabbed Fu Yan's arm with one hand. "Babe, let's run! Grandpa, Auntie, and your brother will kill us!"

"Baby, don't be afraid, I'm here." Fu Yan held the frightened little bunny tightly. "Worst case, Grandpa gives me a beating. I can take it."

Fu Yan wasn't worried at all that Grandma Lu would blame him. The day before getting the certificate, Fu Yan had already obtained Grandma Lu's consent.

Since both had been reborn, Grandma Lu didn't mind Lu Yang getting married before graduation. She just wanted Lu Yang to do what he loved and be happy.

So they'd kept it a secret for three years—the only ones who didn't know were Grandpa Fu and Lu Jin'an.

"You little brat! Getting married is a huge deal, and you didn't even talk to the family—you just tricked Yangyang into getting the certificate with you!"

Grandpa Fu grabbed an apple and hurled it at Fu Yan's head in a rage.

Lu Yang's heart nearly leaped out of his chest. He reached out to block the apple, but Fu Yan had already stuck out his arm and caught it cleanly.

"Thanks, Grandpa." He turned, pulled out a handkerchief, wiped the apple, and handed it to Lu Yang. "Baby, have an apple to calm down. Your husband will handle this."

Fu Yan strode over, slung an arm around Grandpa Fu's shoulder, and without a word, led him aside.

Lu Yang held the apple, took a bite—crisp and sweet.

Chi Xinya came over with a drink. "Yangyang, Mom knows you two already got married, and your grandma knows too. Look."

Chi Xinya gestured for Lu Yang to look at Grandma Lu. "Don't worry about your brother. It won't affect the wedding."

Not far away, Grandma Lu raised her hand and smacked Lu Jin'an on the forehead. "What are you being so stubborn for? Yangyang's going to marry Xiao Yan sooner or later. What's the difference between three years earlier or later?"

Even though Lu Jin'an was a mature, composed CEO in his thirties out in the world, in front of his grandma he was anything but—he wanted to dig in his heels but was scared of her.

Lu Jin'an hunched his shoulders and said defiantly, "Yangyang was only nineteen when he got the certificate! That old man Fu Yan is just taking advantage of my little brother being young and naive! How can I not be angry!"

"Before they got the certificate, Xiao Yan already had my permission." Grandma Lu smacked Lu Jin'an's arm again. "What are you angry for? If you and Tang Lin got a second chance, would you still let her go?"

At the mention of Tang Lin, Lu Jin'an's face darkened.

Two years ago, after being drugged in an accident, he ended up spending a night with Tang Lin.

He thought Tang Lin had drugged him. Even though he married her, he held a grudge over being set up.

It wasn't until Tang Lin stormed off without a word, and he found out someone else had drugged him, that he was filled with regret.

But Tang Lin had vanished without a trace.

If he had the chance to choose again, he'd never let her go.

Lu Jin'an snapped out of it. "Don't bring me into this. What does that have to do with Yangyang and Fu Yan? Fu Yan just didn't handle it right."

"They finally got together. If you really care about your brother, then stay out of it."

Grandma Lu was really annoyed with her eldest grandson's stubbornness. "The wedding's in a little over two months. You know Xiao Yan's been planning it for three years. Don't you see how much he cares about Yangyang? Yangyang can take care of himself. As for you, go find my granddaughter-in-law."

Fu Yan walked over, looking sincere. "Jin'an, I shouldn't have kept the marriage a secret from you, but back then, if you'd known, you definitely wouldn't have agreed."

"You know I wouldn't have agreed! How old was Yangyang? You shameless old man!" Lu Jin'an's temper flared, and he rolled up his sleeves, ready to throw down with Fu Yan.

"I know where Tang Lin is."

That one sentence from Fu Yan was enough to persuade Lu Jin'an. He didn't even stay for the meal and immediately booked the earliest flight to go find her.

On the way home, in the back seat, Fu Yan gripped Lu Yang's waist tightly, staring at him like a hunter eyeing its prey. "Yangyang, there are always so many people who like you. What am I supposed to do? As your husband, I think I need to punish you properly tonight."

Lu Yang's waist went weak from the rubbing, his voice trembling slightly. "Husband, didn't you say you have an important business partner to meet tomorrow? If I can't get out of bed, how am I supposed to meet them?"
