Chapter 103 Straight to the Point
by 参天甲木Chapter 103 Straight to the Point
Hearing Du Yang’s request, the anger in Fu Yan’s heart subsided. His other hand rested on top of Du Yang’s hand, which was still pressing against his, and he felt deeply satisfied.
His kid was no longer the pitiful little guy who wouldn’t fight back when bullied.
That was a brilliant request. Lu Yu cared most about his reputation, and the forum posts had already exposed that he wasn’t the biological son of the Lu family.
Now, being forced to publicly apologize in front of the entire school and having the apology video posted on the school forum—how was that different from a public execution?
Lu Yu cared most about his reputation, and Du Yang was determined to trample on that reputation and take away what he valued most.
After speaking, Du Yang held his glass of grape juice, looking at Lu Ting with an ambiguous half-smile, waiting for his reaction.
Lu Ting's hand trembled, spilling some wine onto his hand. He didn't even feel it.
Clearly, he hadn't expected Du Yang to make such an outrageous request.
Wasn’t Du Yang supposed to have been appeased? Why wasn't he giving an inch?
Lu Jin'an looked at his younger brother with burning eyes. He was ecstatic!
He was going to stake out Teaching Building 2 at A University on Monday and film his brother’s apology!
Old Madam Lu's lips curled up slightly, silently giving her little grandson a thumbs-up.
She knew Du Yang was determined to get revenge: if he couldn't send him to jail, he would strip him of his dignity.
Lu Yu had brought this on himself.
Old Master Fu elbowed Lu Ting. "Old chap, say something. Can’t you see my grandson-in-law is waiting? He still hasn’t eaten!"
Lu Ting spilled some more wine, this time onto his suit cuff, but he didn’t even bother to wipe it off. He said awkwardly, "Isn’t this going too far?"
"When Lu Yu cornered Yangyang in front of the whole school to spread rumors, wasn’t that worse than a public apology?" Fu Yan's tone was icy. "You care about Lu Yu, but I care more about my fiancé."
"If you don’t make him apologize publicly as my fiancé demands, then let Lu Yu go to prison—it won’t cost him a pound of flesh." Fu Yan was firm, leaving no room for negotiation.
"F-fiancé?" Lu Ting hadn't expected Du Yang to already be Fu Yan's fiancé.
When did they get engaged? He hadn't heard a word about it.
His gaze flickered to the matching rings on their fingers, and Lu Ting realized Fu Yan wasn't joking.
"Yes, fiancé." Fu Yan lowered his eyes and stroked the ring on his ring finger, then looked tenderly at the young man beside him. "As long as Yangyang agrees, we'll get married."
Old Master Fu: "?"
Why did it feel like his grandson was showing off?
Engagement, marriage—he needed to get things moving!
Lu Jin'an ground his teeth again. That guy was way too fast; he couldn’t keep up at all.
He frantically winked at Du Yang, signaling him not to rush into marriage.
Du Yang, embarrassed, lowered his head and completely missed his brother’s cues.
Why were they talking about marriage again? Didn’t they agree to take it slow?
Old Madam Lu watched the two of them and was overjoyed inside, though she kept a straight face.
For now, dealing with Qin Yue and her son was more important.
"Xiao Yu was the one at fault first, so a public apology is only right," Old Madam Lu stated on behalf of the Lu family. "You fool, if you keep indulging Xiao Yu, you'll regret it!"
"Mother." Lu Ting wanted to plead further, but Old Madam Lu cut him off.
Her expression was stern. "This is settled. Let Xiao Yu go to school on Monday and make a public apology!"
"Dad, be honest with yourself—was what Xiao Yu did right or not?" Lu Jin'an raised his glass and clinked it with Lu Ting's.
What Lu Yu did was indeed wrong. He had been spoiled all these years. The Fu family was firm, and an apology was better than prison. Lu Ting sighed deeply, the more he thought about it, the more frustrated he became, so he downed his drink again.
Fu Yan also began toasting. "Uncle Lu, when you get back, you should talk some sense into Lu Yu. Tell him not to lose his moral compass for the sake of selfish desires. If he does, the only thing waiting for him will be prison bars."
Several people took turns plying Lu Ting with alcohol while Du Yang quietly accepted the food being offered to him. After a few rounds, Lu Ting hadn't eaten much but had drunk himself to sleep.
Lu Jin'an and Fu Yan laid him down on the sofa. Old Madam Lu stepped forward and slapped him twice, but Lu Ting didn't wake up.
"Fool," Old Madam Lu said, disappointed. She slapped him twice more before letting the doctor waiting in the back come in to draw blood for testing.
No one present felt sorry for Lu Ting, especially Old Master Fu, who clapped in approval.
"Xiumin, well slapped!" Old Master Fu leaned in and whispered, "This old fool couldn't even recognize his own biological son and instead doted on someone else's son."
"Do you want to slap him a few more times?" Old Madam Lu glared at her old friend.
Old Master Fu quickly waved his hand. He couldn't hit him.
After collecting the samples for the paternity test between Lu Ting and Du Yang, Lu Jin'an didn't dare delay and personally delivered them to the testing center.
Lu Ting was helped by the servants to a guest room to rest. Old Master Fu, with a fawning expression, approached Du Yang, trying to coax his future grandson-in-law into coming back to the Fu family mansion for the weekend to keep him company.
Old Madam Lu naturally disagreed. "He's my grandson. He hasn't even spent time with me yet, and you want to take him away? No way!"
Old Master Fu's beard twitched. He was unhappy. "Xiumin! You're being unreasonable! I haven't seen my grandson-in-law in a long time. Let him play chess with me for a bit—is that too much to ask?"
Du Yang, having no experience in mediating arguments, stood to the side, wanting to speak but stopping himself.
He wanted to say that his weekend time was already promised to Fu Yan.
Suddenly, Fu Yan came over, grabbed the young man's wrist, and quickly pulled him out. The two arguing elderly people didn't even notice their treasure being stolen.
Once they got into the car, Fu Yan stepped on the accelerator and drove Du Yang straight out of Old Madam Lu's house without hesitation.
Today, no one was going to disturb their weekend at the villa. He had held back for days; any more and he would lose it.
They arrived at the villa just after four in the afternoon.
Entering the house and changing shoes, Fu Yan scooped Du Yang up in his arms, strode up the stairs, and headed straight for the master bedroom.
Du Yang wrapped his arms tightly around Fu Yan's neck, his heart pounding. Nervous and excited about what was to come, he gripped the man's clothes tightly and let himself be carried into the bedroom.
"Want to take a shower first?" Fu Yan set him down in the bathroom and gave him a light kiss on the lips.
The young man lowered his head, blushing. "You… you go out first."
There was no way he could undress with Fu Yan watching.
"Okay, I'll wait for you outside." Fu Yan's gaze was burning, and he pinched the boy's cheek.
He was practically in his grasp, but he wanted to give the kid more time to get ready.
Fu Yan considerately closed the bathroom door for the kid, then went to the guest bathroom for a quick shower.
A little over ten minutes later, Fu Yan, with only a towel wrapped around his waist, returned to the master bedroom and closed the door.
The bathroom was now quiet, the water gone. Du Yang opened the bathroom door a crack.
"Brother."
"Yeah." Fu Yan's lips curled into a smile. He reached the bathroom door, his voice low and seductive, "Yangyang, what's wrong? Want me to carry you out?"
Through the crack in the door, Du Yang suddenly widened his eyes and quickly shook his head, "No, no."
"Brother, um, I forgot to bring clothes. Could you hand me a bathrobe?" The boy's voice was soft and shy.
Fu Yan's breathing instantly became uneven. In a hoarse voice, he said, "Yangyang, hold out your hand."
Du Yang thought he was supposed to reach out for the bathrobe, so without thinking, he opened the door a little more and extended a slender arm that was pinkish-white.
Fu Yan's breath caught. With one hand, he grabbed the boy's warm, damp wrist, and with the other hand, he pulled open the bathroom door all at once.
The moment the door opened, Fu Yan yanked him by the wrist, pulling him into his arms and holding him tightly.
"Ah! Brother..." The boy let out a low cry, instinctively struggling to escape, like a frightened fawn.
What met his eyes was an expanse of snow-white skin tinged with a rosy blush. Fu Yan's blood roared fiercely in his veins. He gave the boy no chance, pressing him firmly against his chest, and bent his head to kiss the startled fawn.
