Chapter 125 Brother, Not Here
by 参天甲木Chapter 125: Brother, Not Here
Lu Yang slowly opened his eyes, still hearing Fu Yan calling out anxiously.
Meeting Fu Yan’s worried expression, Lu Yang curled his lips and managed a faint smile.
“I’m fine.” Lu Yang’s voice was a little weak; he sat up with Fu Yan’s help, leaning against the man’s chest.
He had always thought Qin Yue and her son only wanted to burn him and his grandma to death. He never expected that from the very beginning, they had planned to harm Big Brother as well.
Anger overwhelmed him, and Lu Yang suddenly felt his body stiffen, unable to breathe, and then lost consciousness.
“Yangyang, how are you feeling?” Fu Yan stroked Lu Yang’s cheek, completely on edge. “You passed out just now, and I was terrified.”
Fu Yan’s heart was still racing from the scare, his breathing uneven even as he spoke.
“Watching them plot against Grandma and Big Brother with my own eyes broke my heart.” Lu Yang looked around—they were in the bedroom of Fu Yan’s villa. “How long was I out? Did you bring me here?”
Lu Yang tried to get out of bed, but Fu Yan pressed him back down. “We got here right when you passed out—it’s only been three or four minutes.”
Lu Yang didn’t resist, leaning obediently into Fu Yan’s arms. After a moment, he said, “Brother, if we’re in a dream, why didn’t I wake up when I blacked out? Why are we still here?”
What Lu Yang worried about now was whether he and Fu Yan were stuck in this past life as souls.
This time, Fu Yan was quiet for a moment. In his understanding, fainting in a dream should be the trigger to wake up. But how could he explain this?
After a pause, Fu Yan lowered his eyes to look at the youth in his arms, his voice firm and sincere. “Yangyang, as long as I’m with you and we’re never apart, I don’t care where we are or what form we take—I love it.”
Lu Yang’s fingertips tightened on the fabric of Fu Yan’s chest, and a pang of sadness hit him.
In his previous life, he had gained neither familial love nor romantic love.
He couldn’t choose this situation, but having Fu Yan already made him way luckier than in his last life.
The boy looked up, his bright eyes sparkling, and his tone lightened considerably.
“I love that too.” Lu Yang changed the subject. “If we sleep forever and never wake up, I’m worried our families will be heartbroken.”
“Great-Uncle is here. He’ll make sure we stay in this long sleep.”
Fu Yan sounded more sure. If he and Lu Yang couldn’t wake up, their great-uncle would figure something out. Thinking this, he felt a little more at ease.
The bedroom door opened from outside, and another Fu Yan walked in, staring at his phone screen. Looking closely, his face still lit up with uncontrollable joy.
Watching his other self so excited, Fu Yan stroked the boy’s soft hair, his voice growing even gentler.
“I finally got in touch with Du Yang. This is the best thing that’s happened since we last saw each other.”
The other Fu Yan called Du Yang on WeChat. “Yangyang, it’s me, F. Do you still remember me?”
Du Yang’s voice came through on the other end, choked with emotion. “Brother F, I remember you. I’m sorry, but I can’t stream anymore.”
“Fu Yan” froze for a moment, then said gently, “Yangyang, it’s not your fault. Can I see you tomorrow? I have something really important to tell you.”
On the other end, Du Yang hesitated before replying, “Okay, you decide the time and place.”
“Fu Yan” gripped his phone tighter, unconsciously nervous, but his voice remained steady. “Meet me tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. in Room 520 at Haicheng Central Tower. I’ll send you the address again later.”
“Alright, Brother F. See you tomorrow.”
It was already early morning. After hanging up, “Fu Yan” stood still in the bedroom, phone in hand, as if under a spell.
If not for the barely contained excitement on his face, Lu Yang would have thought “Fu Yan” was possessed.
Under Lu Yang’s curious stare, Fu Yan’s ears turned red—for the first time, and he raised his hand to gently pinch the youth’s chin.
“Don’t you dare laugh at me. At that moment, I was really planning to tell you how I feel tomorrow.”
Fu Yan paused, then added, “If you turned me down, I was ready to bug you nonstop. If that didn’t work, I’d lock you up. I’ve already kissed you—I have to take responsibility.”
The boy’s clear eyes went wide. He couldn’t believe the calm, collected Fu Yan would resort to pestering.
Fu Yan’s eyes held a smile as he continued, “I was away for only half a month, and such serious things happened to you. I can’t let you be alone anymore—I’d be too worried.”
“Besides, on that call just now, you didn’t realize F was Fu Yan. You don’t remember anything from the night you got drunk. I couldn’t wait any longer.”
Fu Yan finished speaking, then lowered his head and captured the boy’s soft lips, kissing him fiercely—aggressive, deep, and passionate.
That confession never happened, and he never got to tell Du Yang that he would send Du Debao and that old woman to prison—along with He Lin, who secretly recorded the video.
While the two were locked in a passionate kiss, in the dead of night, “Fu Yan” started bothering Lu Jin’an with phone calls.
When the call connected, Lu Jin’an’s weary voice came through. “Fu Yan, what’s up?”
“Mm, I need your help.” Fu Yan’s voice was steady, but you could still hear a hint of excitement.
“Jin’an, I’m going to tell the person I love how I feel tomorrow. I want you to come and film it for me.”
There was a long pause on the other end. Fu Yan thought Lu Jin’an had fallen asleep, so he repeated himself.
“No way, Fu Yan, Grandpa Fu just passed away. Are you losing it? Since when do you have a crush on someone?”
“Fu Yan’s” voice remained calm. “I’m not losing it. Grandpa would be happy in heaven seeing that I love someone. I want to wait till the seventh day after his death, so I can take him to see Grandpa.”
Lu Yang, dizzy from the kisses, overheard the conversation between “Fu Yan” and Lu Jin’an. His heart skipped a beat, but he felt even sadder. He wrapped his arms around the man’s neck and kissed back with burning passion.
In his past life, he had missed too much.
When the boy in his arms was almost out of breath, Fu Yan finally pulled back. Looking at the boy before him—eyes glistening, looking so soft and easy to tease—Fu Yan lowered his head and kissed him again.
Beside them, the call between “Fu Yan” and Lu Jin’an wasn’t over yet.
Lu Jin’an: “What kind of angel has you so lovesick you’re bugging me in the middle of the night!”
“You’ll see when you get here tomorrow. Come early and help me set up.”
“Fu Yan’s” expression was gentle, his gaze falling on the photo frame on the bedside table. Inside was a picture of Du Yang slightly bowing his head, handing a coffee cup to a customer.
The call ended, and “Fu Yan” lay down on the other side of the bed.
On this side of the bed, Fu Yan pressed Lu Yang down, their lips entwined. His hand began to slip under the youth’s clothes, kneading the soft flesh at his waist, then suddenly pushed the clothes up and lowered his head to capture the cherry pink.
A sweet, soft moan escaped the youth’s throat. Lu Yang quickly covered his mouth, turning his head to look at the “Fu Yan” lying on the other side of the bed.
The feeling was both shameful and weirdly thrilling.
Lu Yang, blushing pink all over, pushed Fu Yan away and pulled his clothes down. “No, you can’t, brother. Not here.”
Fu Yan caught the youth’s hand and whispered hoarsely, “Yangyang, tell me. Why not here?”
