Chapter 52: Let Long Tianao Taste My Power!
by 犬夜叉烧包Chapter 52: Let Long Tianao Know My Power!
"Shen Yu! What do you want to feed him?"
Bai Yeye quickly jumped in front of him to explain: "He said he wanted to cook me noodles, not his... you know! Don't think dirty! Dirty-minded people hear everything as dirty!"
Long Rui sneered: "Is that so? You got it instantly—I don't think you're any cleaner either."
Bai Yeye's face turned an embarrassed shade of yellow. What bad intentions could YeYe have? After all, he reads about domineering emperors and delicate beauties every day.
"If you want noodles, I can cook them for you too. Don't eat his." Long Rui still insisted on taking him away.
Shen Yu nodded toward someone behind Long Rui: "Dad, help me hold him down!"
Long Rui turned around warily, and Shen Yu grabbed Bai Yeye and ran off.
"Shen Yu! You stop right there!"
Long Rui lost the chase because he didn't know the base's layout and was quickly shaken off by Shen Yu.
"If you've got the guts, don't go back to your room!" Long Rui shouted into the air.
Bai Yeye clung to Shen Yu's neck, trembling with excitement, feeling a thrill of forbidden romance.
"Where are we going now?"
"To stay somewhere else."
"You're taking me to a hotel? No way, Dad said someone does room checks and makes us get on our knees with our hands on our heads."
"..." That statement was both right and completely wrong.
"Not a hotel. I'm taking you to my home." Shen Yu spread his wings and flew into the air with him.
Bai Yeye marveled: "You have a house away from the base too?"
He thought Shen Yu only had the base.
"Yeah, I rarely go back now." It was where their family of four lived. Later, when they grew up, his two fathers traveled the galaxy, his brother roamed around, and he stayed mostly at the base, so he didn't go back often.
He had never brought any of his brothers back before; Bai Yeye was the first.
"Wow, your house is huge." Bai Yeye looked up at the towering red walls. It wasn't as big as the palace, but it still covered thousands of square meters.
Even though it had been a long time since he'd been back, everything was well-maintained. The entrance led to a small garden full of flowers, and Bai Yeye loved the scent here.
"If you like it, I can bring you here every day."
Bai Yeye rolled around in the grass twice, his tail wagging with joy: "Let's come back when things are settled."
It took half an hour to get here, and when things got busy later, he wouldn't have the energy to come.
"It's been so long, I don't know if there's anything to eat." Shen Yu was still thinking about cooking noodles for him.
"No need—just show me your room." Bai Yeye really wanted to see Shen Yu's room; maybe he could find some childhood photos.
Shen Yu said with concern: "You'll waste away from hunger if we don't eat soon."
"It's okay, I'm not hungry." Bai Yeye looked at him expectantly.
Shen Yu first showed him the living room, where one wall was covered with photos of their family of four.
Bai Yeye's attention was all on Shen Yu. In the photos, a three- or four-year-old Shen Yu already looked aloof, his features showing a unique temperament.
Bai Yeye reached out a paw and poked at it: "So cute,"
Shen Yu's eyes were fixed on him: "Very cute."
After Bai Yeye finished looking at all of Shen Yu's childhood photos, he secretly hid two of them.
Shen Yu noticed his sneaky move and curled his lips, but didn't call him out.
When Bai Yeye yawned, Shen Yu said, "You can sleep in my room. The other rooms might have traps my brother set."
When bored, his brother liked to set all sorts of traps to prank him. These little tricks naturally didn't escape Shen Yu's eyes, but he was afraid Bai Yeye would fall into one.
Bai Yeye secretly wondered if Shen Yu had made that up deliberately to get them to share a room.
"Your brother looks like the sweet type—would he really do such mischievous things?"
Shen Yu shrugged: "Just like you'd never guess that my other dad can split two granite slabs barehanded when he's arguing."
At the mention of Xie Shihua, Bai Yeye's cheerful "ye" died away.
He didn't know if Xie Shihua could split granite, but he knew that Xie Shihua would definitely split him in half—boohoo.
"What's wrong?" Shen Yu noticed he wasn't feeling well.
Bai Yeye forced a smile. "Nothing, just a little sleepy. Um, hypothetically speaking—just hypothetically. You said your two dads argue a lot—so when Uncle Xie is angry, how does Uncle Shen calm him down?"
Maybe he could imitate that.
Shen Yu thought for a moment. "I'm not sure. They go into the room really angry, and when they come out, my dad isn't angry anymore."
"..." That's not something he could imitate—if he tried, Shen Cun would split him in half.
Shen Yu led Bai Yeye into his room. It wasn't much different from the one at the base, except it had more certificates of honor from his childhood.
"You're so amazing." Bai Yeye marveled at the wall full of certificates—so many honors earned.
Shen Yu was indifferent to these honors, but seeing Bai Yeye's expression gave his alpha pride a small boost.
"When you were in school, a lot of people must have chased after you, right?" Bai Yeye remembered that when Long Rui and Bai Ruoshui were in school, their lockers were always full of love letters.
"No, they all went after Bai Yuanzhou."
Shen Yu was too aloof—everyone knew they couldn't win him over, so they just admired him from a distance. Bai Yuanzhou was much more approachable and just as capable, so naturally everyone went after him.
Bai Yeye teased: "If a beautiful omega had been chasing you back then, would you have been tempted?"
"He couldn't catch me—I'm the fastest runner in the galaxy."
"That's not the kind of 'chase' I'm talking about."
"Hey, what's that?" Bai Yeye curiously hopped up—there seemed to be something that wasn't a certificate in the middle of the honor wall.
Shen Yu lifted Bai Yeye up. In the middle was a dartboard—nothing special—but hanging on it were three familiar big characters:
Long Tianao!
Bai Yeye shuddered. Why is his name on here?
“Do you... know this person?” Bai Yeye asked shakily.
“No, I don’t. Back when I was young and wild, I just wanted to challenge him.”
Alphas are all fiercely competitive; everyone has a dream of unifying the galaxy. Shen Yu didn't really want to replace Long Tianao; he just wanted to prove he was stronger.
Now that he's grown up, that old obsession has faded.
Bai Yeye gave a dry laugh. “Why pick a fight with him? He's definitely not as good as you.”
“I originally didn't want to compete with him anymore, but now... heh.” Shen Yu suddenly let out a cold chuckle.
Bai Yeye swallowed. “What's wrong now? He hasn't provoked you, has he?”
“He didn't provoke me, but his older brother did. He'd better be careful. If he falls into my hands, I won't go easy on him!” Shen Yu was confident; Long Tianao wouldn't be a match for him.
Bai Yeye tried to speak well of himself. “Actually, he's a pretty good person.”
“You think he's good? Then I definitely have to compete with him.” An alpha can't stand it when his crush praises someone else in front of him.
Bai Yeye was now even more scared to reveal his identity.
