Chapter 4: Sending You to Get Neutered

Shen Yu’s expression reminded Bai Yeye of his mermaid father, Bai Ningxin. Usually, when Bai Ningxin wore that look, it meant Bai Yeye was about to have the fur on his butt shaved off.

Bai Yeye instinctively covered his round butt, plopping onto the ground with a thud that shook the whole base.

What stung even more was that the people he’d just been gossiping with had now turned against him, especially Gu Yuankai, who leaped forward first, pointing at Bai Yeye’s little head.

“Bad dog, bad dog! How dare you badmouth our general like that! Did you think we’d fall for your sweet talk? Our hearts belong to the general!”

“Loyal to the general! Loyal to the general!” the others chanted in unison.

Bai Yeye stared at them in shock—this was the first time he’d met anyone more shameless than himself!

He might not be human, but these guys were actual dogs.

Shen Yu clearly wasn’t the type to be fooled by a few flattering words. “It’s still training time. What are you all gathered here for?”

“We were singing your praises, sir,” Gu Yuankai said, steeling himself.

Shen Yu said icily, “As the Deputy General, you’re setting an example by neglecting your duty. You’ll get twenty lashes. The rest of you will do three extra hours of training today and won’t eat until you finish.”

Usually, he wasn’t so strict, but today Gu Yuankai had crossed the line, loitering and spouting nonsense. Shen Yu himself had no idea he had an old flame, yet Gu Yuankai had guessed it from a few words?

Gu Yuankai didn’t dare argue, muttered a quiet “Yes, sir,” and led his men away.

Leaving a small, helpless, and round dog sitting on the ground, staring wide-eyed at Shen Yu.

Bai Yeye covered his head with his white paws and stammered, “I’m warning you, if you hit me, I’ll report you for animal abuse! I’ll let everyone see what you’re really like!”

If they were alone, he would turn human and fight Shen Yu on the spot.

But the base had Shen Yu’s hundred thousand troops. Even if he were amazing, he couldn’t take on a hundred thousand armed men with his bare hands.

Shen Yu grabbed him by the scruff of the neck with one hand and lifted him up.

“You’ve got some weight on you,” Shen Yu said, managing to lift him, though the veins on the back of his hand showed it required some effort.

Bai Yeye was genuinely furious. He remembered news reports saying Shen Yu could lift a 500-jin barbell with one hand. What was that supposed to mean!

Shen Yu carried him back to his office for interrogation. “Tell me, what’s the real story between you and your owner?”

Bai Yeye turned his back to him, sulking angrily. I’m not telling you.

Shen Yu raised an eyebrow calmly. “Fine, if you won’t talk. Your owner injured me without cause. Under the law of Lex, he should compensate and apologize. Since he’s not showing up, I’ll assume he gave you to me as payment.”

“What are you going to do to me?” Bai Yeye glared at him fiercely.

Shen Yu opened his holo-disc. “Since you’re now my property, I have the right to get you neutered.”

“…No, please don’t! I’ll talk, I’ll talk, okay!”

If he got neutered before avenging his second brother and lost his balls, he wouldn’t stand for it!

Shen Yu stopped scrolling and looked at him expectantly.

Bai Yeye didn’t know what to say. His identity was special; he absolutely couldn’t let Shen Yu know who he really was. Making something up would almost certainly fail to fool Shen Yu.

After agonizing for a while, he gave up and flopped onto the ground. “That’s just what my owner told me, okay? I don’t know anything else.”

Shen Yu continued, “I’ve never even met your owner. How could I be a heartbreaker?”

There were indeed many omegas who admired him, even alphas, but he had never accepted anyone.

Just because he ignored them, did that make him a heartbreaker?

Bai Yeye looked up at him with an angelic smile. “How would I know? I’m just a little doggy. What bad intentions could a little doggy have? Just let me go, okay?”

His smile had a natural healing power that could calm anyone down.

Except for the two fathers who had driven him up the wall.

Shen Yu looked at him for a moment and said, “I don’t think you’re a small dog.”

Bai Yeye tensed—did he realize this was his beast form?

“You’re a big dog,” Shen Yu twisted the knife.

“…” Bai Yeye felt like he was going to die from anger.

Shen Yu had no intention of prying the truth out of a dog anyway. He ordered, “Call your owner. Have him come here.”

“I don’t have his number. He always contacts me.”

Shen Yu laughed coldly. “Then don’t blame me for sending you to get neutered. Let’s see if your owner comes to rescue you when you’re in trouble.”

“Ah? No!!!”

Shen Yu didn’t give him a choice. He ordered his men to take Bai Yeye away.

Two soldiers entered and tried to grab Bai Yeye’s paws to carry him out. Bai Yeye jumped and dodged, struggling nonstop. With his weight and constant wiggling, they couldn’t get a grip on him.

“General, this is harder to hold down than a pig during New Year’s!” The two soldiers were drenched in sweat from the effort.

Shen Yu clicked his tongue, got up himself, and grabbed Bai Yeye and carried him out.

“Let me go! Let me go, or I’ll get rough with you!”

Shen Yu ignored his threats and carried him to the base entrance.

A gentle voice sounded: “General Shen!”

Bai Yeye stopped struggling and looked back in surprise—his second brother had come!

Bai Ruoshui was lightly sweating on his forehead, his chest rising and falling slightly—clearly he had hurried over.

Seeing Bai Yeye was fine, he let out a sigh of relief.

Ever since he received the message from the Emperor Father, he had been restless with worry and had asked people to help find his younger brother. Fortunately, today his husband Bai Yuanzhou visited the base and happened to take a photo of Bai Yeye to show him, asking if he liked it; otherwise, he wouldn’t have known Bai Yeye had ended up here.

“Greetings, Prince Consort.” Shen Yu’s tone was neither warm nor cold, and he didn’t offer a bow.

His status meant he didn’t need to bow even in front of the Emperor.

Bai Ruoshui walked toward him, smiling. All the children of the Dragon family were stunningly good-looking. Bai Ruoshui and Bai Yeye were two different kinds of beauties. His features were like a painting, his aura otherworldly; he was like a perfect landscape scroll—elegant and calming.

"Ruo Shui, takes the liberty to ask General Shen to first let go of the dog in his hand. Holding him like this will make him uncomfortable."

Shen Yu glanced and released Bai Yeye.

Bai Yeye immediately ran to Bai Ruoshui, pressing against his leg. Emboldened by his protector, the whining puppy bared his teeth at Shen Yu.

My big brother is here! Hmph!

"Prince Consort, do you know it?"

Bai Yeye cut in, "That handsome big brother knows my master! So what! Hmph!"

Bai Ruoshui didn't understand what game Bai Yeye was playing. He gently patted his head and said softly, "Yeye is playful by nature but has no ill intentions. If he has inadvertently offended General Shen, Ruo Shui apologizes on his behalf. I hope General Shen will be magnanimous and spare Yeye."

"Prince Consort, you flatter me. Shen Yu isn't petty enough to argue with a pet."

Bai Ruoshui nodded slightly, "In that case, Ruo Shui will take him away first."

"You can take him, but have his master come see me." Shen Yu made a concession for Bai Ruoshui's sake, but that didn't mean he would let the matter drop.

Bai Ruoshui frowned slightly but finally agreed, "All right."

Getting Bai Yeye back was the priority; the rest could wait.

After boarding the spaceship, Bai Yeye pressed against the window and gave Shen Yu the middle finger.

"Just you wait, this Yeye! I'll get even with you sooner or later!"

Shen Yu cast a glance at him. This clueless little fat dog—if he ever got his paws on him again, he would shave off all his fur.
