"Dad, you're here too!" Xie Yongyun happily pounced on seeing Shen Cun and Xie Shihua.

Shen Cun fondly rubbed his head. "I came here specially to find you."

"Dad, did you miss me? I miss you too!"

Xie Shihua said sourly, "How nice. Anyone would think that you only have one dad."

"Stop it, I miss you too."

Bai Yeye silently swapped his tub of tiramisu with Xie Yongyun's portion.

"Yeye is here too." Xie Shihua put on a smile, sat down beside him, and patted his round head.

Bai Yeye obediently wagged his tail. "Uncle Xie, Uncle Shen."

Shen Cun nodded politely, his demeanor not exactly warm.

Xie Shihua glared at him. What was he doing? What if he scared the kid away?

Shen Cun had no choice but to put on a smiling face and pretended to be surprised. "Wow, Yeye, you're here too. You're so small, I didn't even see you."

Actually, Shen Cun didn't dislike Bai Yeye; he just didn't know how to treat him because of what the astrologer said. He still didn't know whether Shen Yu's future partner was a Samoyed or a mermaid. It was a real headache.

Xie Yongyun coughed twice. Dad's conscience had completely vanished.

"How can you eat so little? Uncle will order you a few more tubs of tiramisu." The more Xie Shihua looked at him, the more he liked him, and he didn't mind if he ate a lot; having a good appetite is a blessing.

"No need, Uncle. I'm on a diet recently." Bai Yeye lowered his head shyly.

Xie Yongyun scratched his head looking at the empty tub of tiramisu. This was the first time he'd met someone who could talk nonsense even better than him.

"Are you guys talking about something? I'll get going then." Bai Yeye was afraid they'd mind if he stayed.

Xie Shihua grabbed his little paw. "It's fine, we're all family."

"Dad, what did you need me for?" Xie Yongyun leaned on Shen Cun's shoulder, waiting for Dad to shower him with money.

This time Shen Cun didn't spoil him with money but delivered some bad news: "Go pack your things. I'm taking you back to Phoenix Mountain."

Phoenix Mountain was the habitat of the Phoenix clan, also known as a sacred land. Outsiders were not allowed to enter without permission, otherwise they would suffer divine punishment.

Xie Yongyun had liked it when he was little, but now that he was older, he found it boring.

"No way. There's no big emergency, why do we have to go back?" Xie Yongyun whined to Shen Cun, wanting to stay.

Shen Cun usually indulged him, but today he was especially firm on this matter: "Listen, there's going to be a war here. You have to go back."

"Will you stay there with me?"

Xie Shihua muttered, "I don't want to go back either..."

They had argued about this matter repeatedly over the past few days. If they argued again, he would be done for.

"Dad, I don't want to go back."

Shen Cun's tone became a bit stern. "Be good. This is no place for playing around. If you don't behave, you won't get to go anywhere else to have fun later."

"Bad dad! I hate you!" Xie Yongyun threw a tantrum and ran out.

Bai Yeye stood up. "I'll go find him."

Shen Cun nodded. "Please comfort him. I'll come pick him up tomorrow."

"Okay."

Bai Yeye quickly caught up with Xie Yongyun and comforted him: "Don't be upset. Your dad is just trying to protect you."

Xie Yongyun knew they were protecting him, but that didn't stop him from throwing a tantrum: "I'm not useless, why do I have to be sent back? Is it just because my brother is an alpha and I'm an omega? Didn't they themselves say there's equality between alphas and omegas? Now this isn't equal at all!"

"Don't talk nonsense. What does this have to do with equality? I'm an alpha, and your brother won't let me join in either."

They were acting out of protective instinct, not discrimination.

"But at least you can stay. If you were an omega, brother would send you home that very night."

Bai Yeye first took Xie Yongyun back to the base. After coaxing him to sleep, he returned to his room feeling anxious.

Shen Yu pretended he didn't hear. "This is a bit too little. I'll have someone bring more later. Or if you want anything to eat, just contact the head chef in the cafeteria directly."

Bai Yeye knew he was dodging the question and whispered back, "It's okay, this is enough."

"Mm, I'm going then." Shen Yu patted his head again and turned to leave the room.

Bai Yeye didn't eat. He quietly looked at the food in front of him.

He understood that Shen Yu was taking care of him this way, but it made Bai Yeye feel like he was a burden. He was already very busy, yet he still took time out of his busy schedule to bring him food.

Bai Yeye, who had been indecisive moments ago, finally made up his mind. He ran to the pharmacy and shared his plan with Bai Ruoshui.

"Brother, please help me," Bai Yeye pleaded, afraid he might refuse.

To his surprise, Bai Ruoshui agreed readily. "Alright,"

Bai Yeye jumped up and kissed him. "You're the best, brother!"

Bai Ruoshui fed him the medicine to reverse the stabilizer. "You mustn't let anyone discover your other identity—not even Shen Yu, understand?"

"I know, I won't say a thing! Thanks, brother. I'll go prepare some things now."

Bai Ruoshui watched Bai Yeye's joyful retreating form, his expression softening slightly.

Let him stay a little longer—when the time's right, I'll send him back.

Shen Yu was busy until ten the next morning and only then returned. His first instinct was to check on Bai Yeye in his room. But instead of the slender figure of YeYe, he found two envelopes.

Shen Yu opened the first envelope; he saw Bai Yeye's messy but cute handwriting.

"Dear wife,

I know staying here won't be of much help. I'd only be a burden. Plus, my family has been urging me to return, so I've decided to leave. I didn't say this to your face because I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to go if I saw you.

Once you finish what you're working on, I'll come to your house with an engagement gift to propose.

P.S.: There's a little gift for you in the envelope. Pull it out and look at it whenever you miss me."

Shen Yu opened the other envelope. Inside were two very... racy photos.
