Bai Yeye caught Shen Yu's half-smiling, half-mocking gaze and realized he had been tricked, but pretended nothing happened: "Why did you call Yeye? Didn't he go home? I thought he showed up again."

Bai Yuanzhou's expression was grim as he shielded Bai Ruoshui behind him.

Shen Yu stepped forward, blocking Bai Yeye. "It was my order. This guard had nothing to do with it."

"Shen Yu! I am the emperor now, and you dare let your men lay hands on me?"

Shen Yu replied flatly, "So you know you're the emperor? From your words, I'd have taken you for some street thug."

"You—!" He pointed at Shen Yu.

Shen Yu stepped closer. "What about me? What do you want to do?"

Without even needing to raise his voice, his presence alone made Tu Bang sheepishly withdraw his fingers, afraid they might be snapped.

Bai Yeye's eyes sparkled with admiration—his alpha was so hot.

Tu Bang dared not confront Shen Yu, so he turned his mockery back on Bai Yuanzhou: "I thought you might have improved by now, but you're still hiding behind Shen Yu, not even daring to say another word. "Take your seats." Bai Ruoshui couldn't send him back now.

As they sat down, a eunuch's voice announced from the entrance.

"The Emperor has arrived!"

The emperor strode into the hall with an arrogant gait. When his eyes landed on Bai Yeye, who was wearing a mask, they glittered with greedy, lecherous light.
