Chapter 115: You’re Long Tianao, Right?
by 犬夜叉烧包Chapter 115: You're Long Tianao, Right?
Long Rui reacted quickly, bumping Bai Yeye's arm, and as the jade in his hand fell, the light instantly dissipated.
Tu Bang stepped forward, pointing at Bai Yeye: "Who exactly are you?"
Bai Yeye glanced at him: "I'm your grandpa."
Tu Bang wasn't in the mood to quibble over that remark, stepping closer to see who he really was: "Are you Long Tianao? Take off your mask!"
Long Rui blocked Bai Yeye's path, snapping coldly: "Get lost!"
He already harbored plenty of resentment toward Tu Bang, let alone wanting to touch Bai Yeye with his filthy hands.
The oppressive aura of an SSS-level alpha made Tu Bang and the other envoys' knees go weak, but Tu Bang, being a stubbornly proud emperor, couldn't back down so easily.
"Is this how Roman speaks to me?"
Long Rui stepped forward, his pupils glowing with a brilliant golden light: "My attitude can get even worse. Do you want to find out?"
Long Rui didn't even bother pretending anymore, making the other envoys' hearts jump into their throats.
If a fight really broke out, they'd better hightail it out of there to avoid being caught in the crossfire.
Tu Bang gritted his teeth: "He's Long Tianao, isn't he? Otherwise, you wouldn't be so tense."
"I've said it before—he's an honored guest I've invited to assist me. I won't let anyone disrespect him."
Bai Yeye sneered coldly: "Forget that I'm not, even if I were, what's it to you? What are you gonna do about it?"
It wasn't just Tu Bang who was dying to know; the envoys behind him wanted to know too.
In this dog-eat-dog interstellar world, the addition of one more powerful figure could shift the whole balance. Though they verbally mocked Long Tianao, they were secretly afraid of him due to the rumors.
Tu Bang took a deep breath and sneered: "I'm just curious. The famed Long Tianao is over twenty by now, yet still hides like a coward. What a waste of all that hype."
Bai Yeye raised an eyebrow: "What, jealous because the rumors weren't about you? Look at how bitter you are—that already ugly face of yours looks like a goblin."
"Shut up!"
Bai Yeye rolled up his sleeves: "I can beat you into shutting up. If you've got the guts, come at me one-on-one."
Tu Bang didn't need to go over to know he was no match for him. But alpha pride wouldn't let him admit defeat, so he went around Long Rui and struck at Bai Yeye.
Bai Yeye seized his wrist, chopping him on the back of the neck with the other hand, and Tu Bang felt half his body go numb.
Then Bai Yeye kicked him in the shin, the intense pain dropping him to his knees.
Several envoys narrowed their eyes—taking down Tu Bang in two moves meant his psychic power was definitely SSS-level or above.
In such a humiliating position, Tu Bang didn't get angry. Instead, he gave a sinister smile.
The next instant, his unbound hand whipped out a diamond-shaped dart and shot it at Bai Yeye's eyes.
Bai Yeye dodged swiftly, but the dart turned out to be homing. Just as he was about to focus his psychic energy, a pale hand caught the dart, and the next moment, it was crushed into dust.
Bai Ningxin's light blue pupils gradually turned red, filled with endless murderous intent.
"Why would you hurt my child?!"
"Xinxin, calm down." Long Shen was beside himself with worry—Bai Ningxin had finally agreed to come out for a walk today, and now this had to happen.
He was angry too that someone had hurt Bai Yeye, but he feared even more that this would trigger a breakdown in Bai Ningxin.
Bai Ningxin wouldn't listen to anything, grabbing Tu Bang by the throat, ready to kill him right then and there.
Tu Bang looked at his face, so strikingly similar to Bai Ruoshui's, and still spewed venom even at death's door.
"Your child was blown up long ago. You're so powerful—why didn't you protect him back then?"
Bai Ningxin suddenly went weak, his body trembling slightly.
Seeing this, Tu Bang's words turned even nastier: "How tragic—not even a corpse left. No, not even ashes. Just think how much that hurt when he was blown up? Maybe he didn't die instantly, just watched himself burn alive."
"Shut up!" Long Shen roared, stepping forward to pull Bai Ningxin into his arms.
They hadn't dared mention this in front of Bai Ningxin for days—and Tu Bang had the nerve!
Bai Ningxin stumbled back a few steps, the world around him going blurry. In a daze, he seemed to see his child engulfed in flames, Bai Ruoshui crying out for help: "Dad, it hurts so much. Save me."
"Ruoshui, Ruoshui! Daddy's coming to save you!"
He reached out to grab Bai Ruoshui, but the moment his fingers touched him, everything vanished into thin air.
Unable to find Bai Ruoshui, Bai Ningxin searched frantically, screaming his name.
But his cries went unanswered, and the crushing weight of everything he felt pressed down on his heart, making it hard to breathe.
"Dad, Dad!" Long Rui watched his frantic state, trying to call him back to his senses.
Bai Ningxin looked at him with empty eyes. A moment later, he spat out a mouthful of blood and collapsed into Long Shen's arms.
Bai Yeye, forgetting his disguise, rushed over and grabbed his hand: "Dad, please don't be like this. Don't scare me."
Long Rui was trembling slightly—whether from anger or fear, he didn't know—and said in a low voice: "Father, take Dad back to the palace first. I'll have Wu Shao brought there!"
Long Shen immediately scooped up Bai Ningxin and rushed back to the palace.
Bai Yeye wanted to follow, but he heard Tu Bang sneer from behind: "Dying now isn't so bad—at least he can go keep his precious son company."
The envoys gulped. Tu Bang truly had no fear of death.
The once-bright sky suddenly erupted with fierce winds, making everyone uneasy.
Bai Yeye's heart hammered as he stared at the blood Bai Ningxin had just spat.
His dad was already in such a state—why did they have to provoke him further? Did they really think his family were pushovers?
"Yeye, head back first." Long Rui sensed something was off about him.
Bai Yeye turned around, the mask on his face no longer concealing his towering rage, as Tu Bang continued to taunt: "Turning into this pathetic, inhuman wreck—better off dead. Ah!"
Bai Yeye drew the sword from a nearby guard and cut off Tu Bang's tongue.
The fierce wind whipped through his beautiful white hair, making him look like the grim reaper.
"Remember how Brother Ruoshui said he'd deal with you back then? Today, I'll make good on his promise."
The other envoys tried to flee, but Bai Yeye's thunderous shout froze them in their tracks.
"All of you watch closely today. If any of you ever try anything against Roman again, you'll end up just like him!"
This was his first time killing someone, but for his family, he had to make himself even more ruthless.
