    Chapter 126 Tong Dagui

The man wore a black short-sleeved shirt paired with a pair of faded jeans. His square face and plain features made him thoroughly unremarkable.

He kept his head slightly lowered, quickening his pace as he hurried past the rear of the cabin.

Yue Lingchuan casually averted his gaze, then suddenly stood up and moved closer to Shen Qingye.

"Darling, don't be angry," he said, taking her arm and adopting a wheedling tone.

Shen Qingye was momentarily stunned, but after meeting his eyes, she immediately understood. She yanked her arm away, her face twisting in anger. "Get lost!"

Yue Lingchuan stiffened. "Darling, I was really wrong."

Their commotion wasn’t exactly quiet, grabbing the attention of nearby passengers. Bai Xiuyu looked startled before glancing at Shen Linyue, who shook her head slightly. Only then did Bai Xiuyu realize what was happening and remained seated without moving.

Yue Lingchuan leaned in again, while keeping one eye on the aisle as he pleaded, "I know I was wrong. Can you forgive me just this once?"

Shen Qingye sneered. "You know you were wrong? What exactly were you wrong about? How many times have you pulled this crap, huh?"

"I didn’t bring it up before to spare you some dignity, but now? Do you even see me in your eyes anymore?"

She barked a laugh. "You can't keep it in your pants when you see a woman. Why don’t you just go off with her?"

Yue Lingchuan’s face fell, snapping irritably, "I told you, I was just talking to her! How many times do I have to explain? Can you stop being so unreasonable?"

"Unreasonable?" Shen Qingye laughed harshly. "If I’m so unreasonable, why don’t you go find someone else? What are you still doing here with me?"

Yue Lingchuan reached out to touch her, but with a loud *smack*, Shen Qingye slapped his hand away in disgust. "Get the hell away from me! I told you not to touch me—you’re filthy!"

The cabin fell into complete silence; even the rustling of books and newspapers stopped.

The man who had just passed by froze mid-stride, instinctively turning to look. But before he could react, Yue Lingchuan suddenly stood up, jabbing a finger at Shen Qingye. "Shen Qingye! I’ve been giving you face, but don’t you dare push it!"

Shen Qingye smirked coldly. "Push it? I’ll do more than that!"

With that, she drew back her foot and kicked. "Get lost!"

Caught off guard, Yue Lingchuan caught the full brunt of the kick to his waist, staggering back several steps.

The man, sensing trouble, instinctively moved to dodge. But Yue Lingchuan, still unsteady, windmilled his arms, trying to grab onto something. The next moment, the man felt his shirt being yanked and a chill on his back.

"Sorry, my fault!" Yue Lingchuan steadied himself with a grip on a seatback before turning to apologize.

The man gave him a wary look, only easing slightly when he saw Yue Lingchuan’s slightly flustered, apologetic expression.

"It’s fine," he muttered before continuing forward.

Yue Lingchuan’s gaze swept over him briefly before he turned back to glare at Shen Qingye, seething. "We were just talking—why did you have to start kicking? I never knew you could be this violent!"

Shen Qingye let out a harsh laugh. "Violent? You’re the one who drove me to it!"

Yue Lingchuan stabbed a finger toward her. "You—"

The two broke into another shouting match, prompting other passengers to intervene. Even a flight attendant, hearing the commotion, hurried over, urging them to sit down and stay in their seats.

After some persuasion, Yue Lingchuan plunked down beside Shen Qingye, his tone stiff. "You told me to leave, but I’m not going anywhere!"

Shen Qingye: "Suit yourself—stay or leave. If you're so tough, sit here forever!"

"You—" Yue Lingchuan took a deep breath. "Forget it, I’m not gonna argue with a woman!"

Shen Qingye snorted and turned away.

The air between them went cold. Nearby passengers murmured to each other but, seeing no further commotion, soon lost interest.

When Gao Ruiyang returned from the restroom and found Yue Lingchuan in his seat, his brows furrowed. Just as he was about to speak, Shen Qingye shot him a meaningful glance.

He paused, then seemed to grasp the situation. Throwing Yue Lingchuan a dirty look, he reluctantly took a seat elsewhere.

The flight carried on, and the cabin gradually quieted down, with only the sound of flipping pages breaking the quiet.

Yue Lingchuan sat stewing for a while before suddenly turning and calling out loudly, "Flight attendant! Hey, flight attendant!"

Heads turned, and the flight attendant hurried over. "What can I get you?"

Yue Lingchuan raised an eyebrow. "Water? Bring me some water!"

Pretending to adjust his seat, he discreetly slid his ID and a typed message on his phone toward her. The flight attendant glanced down, her breath caught.

Yue Lingchuan shook his head subtly, and she quickly composed herself, pasting on a smile. "Right away, sir!"

She walked away calmly, her steps measured. About five minutes later, she returned with a glass of water. "Here you are, sir."

Yue Lingchuan took it with a curt nod, chin tilted arrogantly.

The flight attendant kept her smile and walked off.

As the plane entered steady flight, most passengers nodded off.

Yue Lingchuan glanced toward the front right, his eyes fixed on the man’s shoulder. The mole he’d glimpsed earlier matched the exact location mentioned in the files.

His expression remained neutral as he turned to Shen Qingye, meeting her piercing look.

    Her lips moved soundlessly: "*Fugitive?*"

He nodded. She mouthed again: "*Charge?*"

Taking her hand, he traced two characters with his finger:

    "*Massacre.*"

    Her eyes widened in shock.

He wrote three more words on her palm: "*Tongchang Village.*"

    The Tongchang Village massacre.

    It clicked for her.

After disembarking, the man hurried away, throwing nervous looks over his shoulder.

Seeing no one he recognized, he relaxed. Maybe it was just a fluke.

It’s been years, perhaps the cops forgot about him...

The man quickened his pace, lowering his head even further. Just as he was about to step out of the airport terminal, a voice suddenly rang out behind him:

    "Tong Dagui."

His steps faltered, and he instinctively turned to look. In the next instant, accompanied by a loud "thud," he was pinned forcefully to the ground!

A collective gasp rose from the crowd, and chaos ensued. Wei Zhengyi immediately emerged from his hiding spot, holding up his badge as he addressed the crowd, "Stay calm, everyone! Police business! Please leave the area in an orderly manner, orderly manner!"

Hearing this, the onlookers finally relaxed slightly and quickly dispersed, though a few dared to sneak a look back before leaving.

Shen Qingye took the handcuffs from Luo Kaiyang, and with a crisp "click," snapped them around his wrists.

Yue Lingchuan planted a knee on Tong Dagui’s back, keeping him pinned. Meeting the man’s seething, hateful glare, he chuckled and said, "Tong Dagui."

    "Got you at last."
