On the fifth day of the injection, the situation improved somewhat.

Chen Su still spent day and night at the experimental base. Besides him, there were many others—from seventy-year-old authoritative experts to fresh recruits who had just joined the Drug Supervision Bureau this year. Each did their duty, not for fame or fortune, but to treat the Omega victims in the special district.

They stood beneath the blade of the era; one misstep could ruin their reputation and invite a torrent of criticism from thousands.

Chen Su organized the experimental data, and that night, he bought a ticket to Antarctica.

Entry and exit to Antarctica were strictly controlled; for now, people could enter but not leave.

After landing, Chen Su checked into a hotel. That night, he slept soundly, but when he opened his eyes the next day, he was no longer in the hotel. He was in a dim basement filled with the salty, damp smell of seawater.

It was nearly summer, but Chen Su was shivering from the cold.

He was awakened by a bucket of water.

Han Yu was smoking. His face, which bore a striking resemblance to Meng Suizhi, was cold and frosty, though sharper and more fierce due to his bone structure.

Han Yu shot a look at Chen Su. "Not surprised?"

"Not surprised. I've wondered for a long time why you would show up at the Drug Supervision Bureau with Meng Suizhi's face." Chen Su's tone was calm—unsurprised by the kidnapping or the culprit before him.

The salty sea air was tinged with the bitter scent of rosemary.

That was Han Yu's pheromone.

Chen Su asked, "You're using Meng Suizhi?"

Using Meng Suizhi's love to enter the Drug Supervision Bureau, steal all the useful experimental data, make a clean getaway, and pin all the blame on Meng Suizhi, leaving him to his fate.

"Yeah, I'm using him." Han Yu smirked. "And it's also my revenge."

Han Yu's eyes turned cold. "I wouldn't have turned out this way if it weren't for him—he never cared about me!"

Chen Su sighed softly. "There's someone behind you. I want to talk to him."

Han Yu looked surprised. "What do you want to talk about?"
