    ## Chapter 153: Love Brings Flesh to Life

Under the golden sunlight, Chen Su rode in a car toward the manor. The vintage British car was one of a kind, stopping at the entrance of the castle church.

Xiao Li got out, opened the door, and took Chen Su's arm into the church.

The heavy church doors were pushed open, and streams of light refracted through the solemn stained-glass windows, breaking into warm, soft rays.

Zhao Jinzong extended his hand, and Xiao Li handed Chen Su over to him.

They walked arm in arm into the church, the sound of the organ deep and melodious.

    The guests watched them.

As Chen Su entered the church, his gaze landed on a wooden single chair bathed in light, giving off warmth.

On the chair lay a neatly pressed, well-tailored suit—the place where Chen Su's father would have been.

Chen Su's eyes stung with emotion.

Snapping out of it, Chen Su continued walking, but his nose started to sting.

The driver presided over the ceremony and invited Xiao Li to give a speech.

Xiao Li said that his brother had never cared about himself enough, and he was glad that from now on, someone would take care of him.

During the vow exchange, Chen Su couldn't say a word.

In the solemn church, in the presence of Chen Su's father, Zhao Jinzong swore that from this day forward, he'd respect Chen Su's wishes, take care of him, never leave or forsake him, forever.

Zhao Jinzong clasped Chen Su's hand. Chen Su didn't have to speak—the French words on the back of his hand was the answer.

The church wedding ceremony ended. At the champagne reception, the two sealed a jar of wine together, agreeing to open it thirty years later.

For the wedding banquet lunch, Zhao Jinzong simplified the proceedings. They stood up to toast the guests, making sure Chen Su stayed relaxed, comfortable, and not worn out.

At sunset in the afternoon, they took their wedding photos along the coastline. Zhao Jinzong walked a white horse, and Chen Su sat atop it, bending down. Zhao Jinzong kissed him, and out of the corner of his eye, the silver tassels on the Enigma's shoulder swayed gently.

The evening party began with the two lighting candles together, symbolizing perfection, continuing late into the night. On the manor's lawn, fireworks lit up the sky for a full hour.

This was the wedding Zhao Jinzong gave to Chen Su.

Chen Su didn't return to the bedroom until midnight. He lay on the castle's petal-strewn bed, watching the fireworks outside the window, his lover lying beside him. Chen Su felt more alive and energized than ever before.

Yet tonight had only just begun.

On the soft bed, Chen Su's chest rose and fell softly with each breath. Having lain down too casually, the handmade button on his shirt gently popped open, revealing pale skin.

Chen Su's eyes reflected bright fireworks. "Zhao Jinzong…"

Chen Su turned his head, and Zhao Jinzong suddenly bit his neck.

    Chen Su: "Ah…"

Zhao Jinzong kissed him, softening his movements. His large hand slid down to the small of Chen Su's back. The belt was still fastened; the Enigma's eagerness made Chen Su tilt his head back slightly.

There was no reason at all to refuse anything today—including now.

Chen Su let Zhao Jinzong bite him, claim him.

He was even carried into the bathroom, his forehead resting against the mirror. He watched his shirt hanging open, silent, staring at the strong arm wrapped around his waist.

Zhao Jinzong kissed the small of his back.

Chen Su swallowed, a flicker of fear passing through him. He pressed gently on the arm around his waist. "Zhao Jinzong…"

    "Hm?"

"Uh… um, let me… help you first…" Chen Su's words came way too late.

    Zhao Jinzong smiled. "Afterwards."

The Enigma was brutal and wild, just as Xiao Li had said.

All day long, Zhao Jinzong had wanted to do this. Now, of course, he'd take it all.

Chen Su's forehead rested against the cold glass.

His long legs were completely under the Enigma's control.

Chen Su barely made it through the first round. Zhao Jinzong wrapped an arm around Chen Su's waist, and together they looked at their reflection in the mirror. He asked, "Satisfied?"

    With everything I did today.

Chen Su's eyes were red-rimmed. "Mm."

Zhao Jinzong's thumb traced Chen Su's lips, his eyes asking, "Can you satisfy me today?"

    Chen Su nodded.

Zhao Jinzong lifted him into the tub.

The next morning was free, but in the afternoon there was a champagne tea party.

Chen Su couldn't get up to see guests.

He lounged in bed, lazy and comfortable.

He had been lying on his stomach too long; when he woke up, his jaw moved first. Chen Su rubbed his jaw and softly called Zhao Jinzong's name. Getting no answer, he frowned, grabbed his phone, and dialed Zhao Jinzong's number.

He was holding Zhao Jinzong's phone.

Chen Su answered the call but couldn't speak.

Zhao Jinzong got it and said with a smile, "I'm downstairs with guests. I'll be back in ten minutes."

"Mm…" Chen Su's voice was barely a whisper, and he hung up.

Ten minutes later, Zhao Jinzong returned, holding a bowl of pumpkin porridge.

Zhao Jinzong fed Chen Su, and asked, "Want to wash up?"

The soft wool blanket had long fallen off Chen Su. It wasn't cold in England now; he wouldn't catch a cold even with no clothes on.

Chen Su tilted his head slightly, saying nothing. He frowned, lost in thought.

Zhao Jinzong smiled, patted his waist, and said, "Okay, I'll rub it for you."

Zhao Jinzong rubbed Chen Su's waist.

    Chen Su said softly, "Blanket."

Zhao Jinzong tucked the blanket under Chen Su's chin, and Chen Su rested his head sideways on it, falling asleep again shortly after.

Zhao Jinzong gently wiped him down.

    Chen Su didn't wake up.

Zhao Jinzong stood quietly at the foot of the bed, reluctant to leave his side.

Chen Su's waist-to-hip ratio was indeed excellent, especially when he lay on his stomach—his waist looked exceptionally slender. Since he had presented as an alpha, his leg muscles had become more defined, as well as those of his waist and arms.

No matter how you looked at him, he seemed to be lying in a welcoming pose.

Zhao Jinzong bent down, grabbed another white blanket, and draped it over Chen Su.

The luxurious, extravagant castle wedding lasted three days.

Over the next two days, Chen Su rarely appeared.

On the day they returned home, Chen Su and Zhao Jinzong took the plane together.

Xiao Li and the others left later.

Chen Su fell asleep on the plane.

When they landed, Chen Su realized it wasn't the capital, but Huaicheng instead.

Zhao Jinzong said, "You'd want to go home for a visit."

Zhao Jinzong knew him all too well.

On the way, Zhao Jinzong bought a bouquet of carnations and accompanied Chen Su to his father's grave site. Chen Su stayed behind by himself and spoke at length.

Chen Su said he had found someone to love for the rest of his life.

Twelve years ago, Chen Su's father jumped into the river and drowned, not wanting to be a burden.

Twelve years later, someone supported Chen Su, never thinking he was a burden.

Later, Chen Su learned about many, many things...

For example, when Chen Su swapped phones with Zhao Jinzong, he received a call from the castle's emcee.

He learned that this wedding had been prepared two years ago.

The invitation for the speech many years ago was personally sent by Zhao Jinzong.

Zhao Jinzong's wedding invitation was the only copy, personally submitted by Enigma (Zhao Jinzong) to headquarters.

In the documents sent by the Federal Office, Chen Su found a stack of suicide notes. Every time Zhao Jinzong went on a dangerous mission, he wrote a suicide note.

There was a lot in the suicide notes... Zhao Jinzong had brought back a bottle of water from the Antarctic explosion zone. That bottle of water was given to Xiao Li, and when Xiao Li spilled it into the Huai River, Zhao Jinzong lost his last trace of hope.

Zhao Jinzong was angry at the time, so he didn't go with him.

    Zhao Jinzong regretted it.

In the suicide note, Zhao Jinzong stated he had no right to request how his remains were handled. For Xiao Li's gland, Enigma had already donated his body. If something happened to him, he couldn't even be buried in the same grave as Chen Su.

For Chen Su, Enigma had given up everything.

But thankfully, Chen Su was still alive.

Chen Su was still alive, still able to make up for it, still able to be good to Zhao Jinzong.

After reading the suicide notes, Chen Su burned them all and lost his temper with Zhao Jinzong.

Chen Su forced Zhao Jinzong to swear that he would be safe from now on.

Zhao Jinzong swore to be safe from now on.

    Safe year after year.

Chen Su would also be safe.

Love makes withered trees bloom again, love makes life take on flesh and blood.

Chen Su's illness was cured by love. It took less than a year—eight months.

Chen Su didn't want to make Zhao Jinzong wait any longer.

He couldn't bear to make him wait.

"The end of the main story."
