Chapter 131 Jinjiang Literature City Exclusive

Winter turned to spring, and Valentine's Day was just around the corner.

Bai Yu was on tour out of town, busy with work, and hadn't been back to Yunjing for over half a month.

He had originally promised Situ Jing he would return before Valentine's Day, but he kept delaying day after day. Meanwhile, Situ Jing's messages grew increasingly frequent, carrying a tone of resentment: "When are you coming back?"

    "When are you coming back?"

    "Are you even coming back?!"

    ...

To appease Situ Jing, Bai Yu bought him a tie at the airport store.

By the time the flight landed in Yunjing, it was already the afternoon of Valentine's Day.

Bai Yu hurriedly took a car back to Yanting, just in time for the lavish dinner Situ Jing had prepared himself.

Unbeknownst to him, Situ Jing had learned to cook many delicious dishes, and his hands no longer got scalded or blistered.

Bai Yu slid the gift toward Situ Jing. "This is for you."

Situ Jing glanced at the box indifferently. "Do you think such a small trick can placate me?"

Bai Yu stood up, walked over to Situ Jing, and gently kissed his lips. "You've been working hard."

Situ Jing pulled Bai Yu into his arms, studying his face carefully. "Why aren't you spending the money I gave you?"

Although Bai Yu earned his own income, Situ Jing still sent him money every month. However, Bai Yu had been spending very little lately, with hardly any changes in his bank account activity.

Bai Yu blinked. "I like saving money."

"What are you saving so much for?"

"Who doesn't like having more money? I enjoy counting the zeros in my bank account."

Situ Jing pinched Bai Yu's chin. "You're lying to me. You've been asking a real estate agent to look for a property."

Bai Yu's eyes widened. "You investigated me again?!"

Situ Jing replied confidently, "I'm just concerned about you. Why won't you let me buy it for you?"

Bai Yu struggled to get up but was pushed back down by Situ Jing. He said angrily, "It's not the same. This is the first property I'm buying with my own ability!"

Situ Jing's face turned cold. "Why are you drawing such a clear line between yours and mine, as if you could walk away at any time?"

Bai Yu was stunned. "No, that's not it."

He knew it was wrong to hide his property search from Situ Jing, but Situ Jing investigating behind his back and doubting his motives also made him angry.

Bai Yu suddenly realized that after Situ Jing's serious illness, they hadn't argued for a long time. In fact, for a long time afterward, they had fallen into an almost eerily warm and harmonious dynamic.

Was Situ Jing about to have an outburst now?

Had things changed so quickly, in less than two years?

Bai Yu stared intently at Situ Jing. "What are you going to do?"

Situ Jing pulled a property deed from his apron pocket and handed it to him. "Take it."

Bai Yu opened it and saw it was exactly the property he had been secretly looking at, under his name.

Although Bai Yu's plan to buy a property privately had failed, Situ Jing's gesture of secretly buying it for him meant a lot. "Thank you."

    "Thank who?"

Bai Yu gently pecked Situ Jing's stern face and whispered, "Thank you, hubby. Let's eat, I'm hungry."

Situ Jing's expression softened slightly, but his arms around Bai Yu didn't loosen. "Eat right here."

Bai Yu took small bites of the food Situ Jing fed him, gradually feeling the scorching body heat through his thin sweater.

    ...

After a night, Bai Yu lay weak and limp on the bed, covered in kiss marks.

Situ Jing held Bai Yu close, kissed his lips, rubbed his lower abdomen, and said in a low voice, "Why is there still no movement?"

Bai Yu was exhausted, but he opened his eyes upon hearing this.

Before Bai Li left last time, she had given him a bottle of contraceptive pills. After finishing that bottle, he bought another one but had secretly stopped taking it months ago.

Although Situ Jing usually didn't show it, Bai Yu knew he felt insecure and suspected Bai Yu was always preparing to leave.

Perhaps it was time to "show my commitment" to Situ Jing and entrust him with all his trust.

"Should I start taking the pills again?"

Situ Jing held Bai Yu tightly. "Let Jiang Ming come and take a look."

As early as their trip to the Vanilla Islands, Situ Jing had noticed Bai Yu secretly eating candy every day.

Perhaps out of intuition, he felt there was something in that candy.

So, while Bai Yu was asleep, he took one piece back to test its ingredients and found it contained contraceptives.

Situ Jing had known about this all along but never asked Bai Yu or stopped him. It wasn't until Bai Yu personally said he would resume taking the pills that he finally breathed a sigh of relief.

After Jiang Ming examined Bai Yu, he said to Situ Jing, "There's nothing wrong with either of your health. You're both very healthy. The lower conception rate might be due to emotional stress, sexual incompatibility, irregular sleep schedules, etc. Address these issues, and leave the rest to time."

Bai Yu and Situ Jing exchanged a glance, both aware that time was running out—only half a year remained.

So, in the following months, Situ Jing and Bai Yu cut back on their work schedules, postponing or canceling trips whenever possible to free up time for trying to conceive in their bedroom at Yanting.

Yet, there was still no progress.

Situ Jing hadn't expected to be stumped by this matter, and Bai Yu grew increasingly disheartened, often crying and apologizing to Situ Jing afterward.

Surprises often come unexpectedly, but when you desperately want something, it remains elusive.

One day, after performing a routine check on Bai Yu, Jiang Ming went to Situ Jing's study to report.

Bai Yu prepared three glasses of honey water downstairs and brought them to the study door. Through the slightly ajar door, he heard Situ Jing's low voice: "Is there no other way?"

"We've tried all conventional methods. Some couples take five or six years to conceive—it's a matter of luck." After a few seconds, Jiang Ming cautiously added, "But if you need to get pregnant as soon as possible, there is another method."

Situ Jing closed his eyes, massaging his temples. "What method?"

Jiang Ming said, "We need to operate on Bai Yu, physically modify him, and transplant an omega gland and a reproductive cavity."

"Crash!" A crisp sound came from the doorway.

Situ Jing quickly walked to the door, opened it, and saw Bai Yu standing outside, his face pale, with a puddle of water and shattered glass on the floor.

    "What's wrong?"

Bai Yu looked up at Situ Jing, his eyes filled with deep fear. "Are you going to do to me what you did to Qiao Yihan?"

Situ Jing’s expression changed instantly, and he immediately explained, "No, I'm not going to operate on you."

Jiang Ming also quickly added, "Yes, he didn’t say he would do the surgery. I was just mentioning it as a possibility."

Bai Yu took two steps back, looking at Situ Jing and Jiang Ming, his lips trembling. "You're in this together—I don’t believe you!"

Then, he turned and ran downstairs.

Situ Jing chased after Bai Yu. "Bai Yu, listen to me!"

Jiang Ming cursed under his breath behind Situ Jing: "It’s all your fault, you damn capitalist! Now I’m getting blamed too!"

Bai Yu, like a frightened rabbit, refused to listen to anyone. After running downstairs, he headed straight for the garage, planning to drive away, but Situ Jing caught up with him halfway and pulled him into his arms.

"I won't let anyone perform surgery on you, believe me!"

    "I won’t listen, I won’t! Let me go!"

Bai Yu struggled desperately but was no match for Situ Jing, who carried him back to the bedroom and laid him down on the bed.

By the time Bai Yu got up from the bed and ran to the door, it had already slammed shut with a *bang*.

"Situ Jing, let me out!" Bai Yu threw himself against the door, crying and shouting at Situ Jing, "You bastard!"

Situ Jing stood outside the door, silent for a moment, then said to Bai Yu inside, "You're too upset right now to hear me out. Just rest in the room. I’ll come back for you later."

"No! I want to leave here right now!"

Situ Jing returned to the study with a grim expression. Jiang Ming was still waiting there.

"Look how scared he is—he'll never get pregnant like this. The body and mind are inseparable. Sometimes pregnancy depends on timing—the more you rush it, the less likely it is to happen. You need to calm him down first."

After giving this advice, Jiang Ming left.

Two hours later, Situ Jing pushed open the bedroom door and saw Bai Yu crying himself to sleep on the sofa.

He carried Bai Yu to the bed, tucked him in, and left the bedroom.

Because of the sleep-inducing medication Bai Yu had been taking recently, he slept deeply for a long time.

He dreamed of lying on an operating table, where a masked doctor put an IV in his arm. On a silver tray beside him, there was an omega gland.

Bai Yu couldn’t struggle, a gag in his mouth, and he could only gasp for breath as the doctor removed his mask to reveal Qiao Yihan’s face. "See? Despite all the twists and turns, you’ve ended up back on this operating table. You'll only be perfect once you become an omega."

Terrified, he started to struggle. In a blur, the doctor’s face transformed into Situ Jing’s. "To be with me, you’d be willing to become an omega and bear my child, right?"

Tears welled in Bai Yu’s eyes as he kicked frantically, mumbling incoherently, "No, don’t…"

If I transplant someone else’s gland and become an omega, will I still be me?

    "I won’t do it!"

Bai Yu let out a hoarse cry from his throat, jolting awake. He scrambled out of bed and ran barefoot out of the bedroom.

Situ Jing got up and chased after him, grabbing hold of Bai Yu. "Bai Yu, what are you doing?"

Bai Yu gripped Situ Jing’s arm. "You want to force me to have the surgery—I need to leave!"

Situ Jing held him tightly. "I won't force you to do something you don’t want to do!"

Bai Yu gasped for breath, as if just emerging from the nightmare, and asked tremulously, "You promise?"

    "I promise."

Bai Yu relaxed his grip. "What will you tell your aunt?"

Situ Jing placed his hands on Bai Yu’s shoulders, turning him to face him. "I’ll deal with it tomorrow. Worst case, we can leave the Situ Family together."

Bai Yu looked into Situ Jing’s eyes and paused upon hearing this.

Situ Jing wiped away Bai Yu’s tears. "Do you trust me?"

Bai Yu leaned into Situ Jing’s embrace. "I trust you."

    *

Early the next morning, Situ Jing left early to see his aunt.

After Situ Jing drove away from Yanting, Bai Yu lay in bed, lost in thought for a long time.

If Situ Long truly wouldn’t allow Situ Jing to marry him, was it worth it for Situ Jing to give up everything he had and leave the Situ Family?

Although Situ Jing still had the Yin family’s wealth and wouldn’t be left with nothing, could he accept losing his status as a member of a top-tier elite family?

Situ Jing was already thirty-two, and Bai Yu could tell he longed to have a child of his own.

Whenever he saw videos of babies, Situ Jing would pause and watch for a moment.

What if I can never have a child?

Bai Yu touched his flat abdomen and curled into a ball.

He didn’t want to undergo omega transformation.

There seemed to be no perfect solution—either sacrifice himself or sacrifice everything Situ Jing had.

In the end, Bai Yu sat up in bed, took off his engagement ring, and placed it on the table.

    *

In the northern part of the city, at Situ Long’s residence.

It was Situ Long’s birthday today, and Situ Jian and Situ Hui were also there.

Situ Jing gave his gift to Situ Long, and the family sat at the dining table maintaining a facade of harmony, exchanging a few pleasantries.

Situ Long crossed her long legs, cutting into her steak while giving Situ Jing a meaningful look. "Time’s up. You’ve lost."

Situ Jing remained expressionless. "I know."

Situ Long said, "Then call off the engagement."

Situ Jian sat nearby, calm and composed, unsurprised by this outcome.

You win some, you lose some; what's done is done. The only one who can rein in Situ Jing now is his aunt.

This time, Situ Jing should straighten out.

However, Situ Hui, watching Situ Jing’s expression, felt it didn’t look like he was going to play along. He chuckled knowingly.

Sure enough, Situ Jing declared: "I still intend to marry him."

At this, Situ Jian looked at Situ Long in shock.

Situ Long put down his crossed leg and slammed the dinner knife onto the table. "Are you determined to double down on this mistake? Can you accept never having your own child?!"

Situ Jing took a sip from the water glass in front of him. "So what if I have no child? I’ll marry him anyway. Mr. Situ Jian, why don't you do us all a favor and have another brother for me? Wouldn’t that be just the same as having an heir?"

Situ Jian slapped his knee. "I'm fixed—how am I supposed to have a child?!"

Situ Jing said calmly, "Get the reversal surgery—undo the procedure, and you can have one."

Situ Jian shot up from his chair. "You’ve gone completely nuts!"

Situ Hui clapped and roared with laughter. "I knew it, hahaha!"

Situ Jing turned to Situ Long. "Aunt, you could also have your adjutant get an artificial womb implanted."

    The adjutant standing nearby: "?"

Situ Long slammed the table hard. "What the hell are you talking about?!"

Situ Jing then pointed at Situ Hui. "Hui, you could also find a handsome alpha to have a child with."

Situ Hui bent over laughing, clutching his stomach. "Brother, I’m not the marrying kind."

Situ Jing wiped the corner of his mouth with a napkin and said expressionlessly, "You’ve been acting for so many years—haven’t you heard of the 'father-out, child-stays' approach?"

Situ Hui gave Situ Jing a thumbs-up. "You got me there!"

Situ Jing stood up and announced to everyone: "Three years—whoever has a child gets a villa. We’ll hold a competition for the position: whoever has the best overall performance becomes the next family head. Those who can’t produce a child by then will be kicked out of the family."

Situ Long stood up, glaring at Situ Jing. "Are you trying to start a mutiny?"

Situ Jing sneered. "You have your authority, but don’t forget—I am still the family head. If you want to force me out, I can burn this whole thing down. Once I cash out all my shares, nobody gets anything!"

Watching Situ Jing turn and leave, Situ Long let out a bitter laugh. "Each generation is worse than the last!"

Situ Jian asked, "What do we do now?"

Situ Long looked at him. "What can we do if we disagree? Let him drive us all out of the family?!"

    *

Situ Jing drove back from his aunt’s residence to Yanting, intending to discuss wedding plans with Bai Yu, only to find him gone.

The butler said, "Mr. Bai said he had matters to attend to at the studio."

Situ Jing had already instructed the studio to cancel all of Bai Yu’s schedules for the next week. He would never go to the studio, much less leave his engagement ring behind in the bedroom.

Bai Yu’s words couldn't be trusted.

At the first sign of trouble, he would run away.

But Situ Jing was like a gambler, hoping for one more chance to turn things around, hoping that Bai Yu might still love him.

While Situ Jing sent people everywhere to search for Bai Yu, Bai Yu’s studio released Bai Yu's third studio album, *We Will Not Be Together Forever*, at midnight.

Situ Jing clicked open the album cover—it was the design sketch of that moth necklace.

Did you think that was the end?!

    No, far from it.

    *

    Down south, in Nangang City.

After visiting his mother’s grave at the cemetery, Bai Yu went to Chongyi Bridge, hoping to see if the tofu shop from his childhood was still open.

Coincidentally, the shop was still there, and the owner was the same, though his hair had turned gray.

Bai Yu placed an order on his phone for a bowl of sweet tofu pudding.

When the owner brought it over, he recognized Bai Yu at once. "Aren’t you the little one who used to come by for tofu pudding all the time?"

Bai Yu smiled. "You remember me?"

"Of course! Your mother often came here to eat, sometimes with you and your sister. I’ve seen you on TV—you made it big! Just like I said, everything gets better, right?" The owner patted Bai Yu’s shoulder.

Bai Yu nodded, a hint of sorrow in his expression. "Yes."

The shop wasn't busy yet, so the owner sat across from Bai Yu, propping his head on his hand. "What’s wrong? If you were busy, you wouldn’t have come to a small place like this for no reason. Tell me, maybe I can help."

Bai Yu fidgeted with his fingers, opening his mouth several times but struggling to speak. Finally, he said calmly, "The Little Mermaid sacrificed her voice to be with her love, became mute, and every step she took felt like walking on knives. Yet, she still didn’t gain love and turned to sea foam in the end. I don’t want to become foam."

The owner had seen the news about Bai Yu and Situ Jing’s engagement and understood what he meant. The Situ Family was one of the wealthiest families in Country C—those circles are complicated, and nothing was ever simple.

But if there were no feelings between Situ Jing and Bai Yu, Bai Yu wouldn’t look so torn up.

The owner frowned, took a deep breath, and said, "What if he remembers you? What if he sees through the princess’s lies, goes through all kinds of hardships to find the sea witch, gets your voice and your tail back? He stays with you forever, whether in the sea or on land, with nothing in the world standing in your way."

Bai Yu shook his head. "He wouldn’t."

The owner asked, "What if he would?"

Bai Yu rubbed away a tear falling on his finger. "He wouldn’t."

The owner looked at him. "Then let me ask you this—if you ignore who he is, would you want to be with him?"

    Bai Yu nodded. "Yes."

The owner asked, "Why is it that when you ignore who he is, you’re willing to be with him?"

Bai Yu fell silent, saying nothing.

The owner said, "People often think the wealthy are superior, that they can have everything without effort. But people at the top are often lonely—they’ve worked hard to get where they are. He must have been through a lot to achieve what he has today."

"Maintaining a painful status quo is easier than placing trust and love in another person and embarking on an unknown path. That’s why so few take that crucial step, and so many let love slip away."

Bai Yu wiped his tears and looked at the owner. "What if he needs an heir to inherit his empire, but the mermaid can’t have children?"

The owner was stunned, then said, "If he’s willing to do so much for the mermaid, this wouldn't stop him."

Bai Yu covered his face and wept silently.

After finishing the tofu pudding, Bai Yu returned to the small rented house by the sea. He woke up in the middle of the night, sweating in the heat.

He suddenly found himself missing Situ Jing's scent and his embrace.

The next day, Bai Yu went to the clinic to pick up medication. After describing his symptoms, the doctor said, "This seems a lot like a heat."

    "I'm a beta."

"I know, that's why I said it seems like it. It could be a false heat. Have you used any medications before?"

Bai Yu thought about the medicine Jiang Ming had prescribed him. "It was for hormone regulation."

The doctor glanced at him. "If you have an alpha, you don't need medication."

Bai Yu shook his head. "I don't have an alpha."

The doctor prepared the medicine and handed it to him. "Three times a day, after meals."

Bai Yu took the medicine, and the doctor called out to him again. "Can I get your autograph?"

Bai Yu was taken aback for a moment, then said softly, "Sure, but please don't tell anyone I was here."

    The doctor replied, "I won't."

    ...

That afternoon, Bai Yu was tossing dirty clothes into the washing machine when the door suddenly swung open.

Just as Bai Yu was about to step out, he saw Situ Jing walking straight toward him with a grim expression. The laundry detergent bucket in his hand dropped to the floor.

Situ Jing grabbed Bai Yu's wrist and pulled him outside. "You need to come back and get married."

Bai Yu tried to wrench his wrist free. "Let go of me. Who am I marrying?"

    "What do you think?"

"I can't have children. Are you going to force me into surgery?"

"It doesn't matter if you can't have children."

Bai Yu stopped struggling and looked at Situ Jing. "Really?"

Situ Jing tightened his grip around Bai Yu's waist. "Really. I'll let my father, aunt, and younger brother have children, and let their kids compete for the position."

Bai Yu's eyes reddened, but he couldn't help smiling. "Then why do you want to marry me?"

Situ Jing's voice grew low and hoarse. "Do you think there's any other reason?"

The panic fading from Bai Yu's expression, he calmed down. "Wait here. I'll grab my documents, and we can go."

Situ Jing stood outside the bedroom waiting for Bai Yu to come out. After ten minutes, he began to feel something was wrong.

He walked in and found that Bai Yu had climbed out the window and run away again.

Situ Jing's jaw tightened. He also climbed out the window and chased after Bai Yu on the beach.

It didn't take long for Situ Jing to catch up. He grabbed Bai Yu, and the two of them tumbled onto the sand, covered in grit.

    "Still running, huh?"

Bai Yu pushed Situ Jing away and continued running forward. "What if an omega appears whose pheromones are a 100% match with yours, and you find that being with that person feels better? What if I'm no longer your only sexual partner? You should think about it again!"

Situ Jing stood still, watching Bai Yu not far away, and shouted angrily, "I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you!"

"I don't just want to sleep with you. I want to write songs with you, eat together, sleep together, do all those boring, silly things, listen to your wild stories. No matter what you do or who you are, I just want to be with you. I can't live without you. Do you hear me?!"

Bai Yu stopped in his tracks and was about to turn around when Situ Jing suddenly rushed over and hugged him from behind. "I love you. Don't leave me."

Bai Yu looked down at Situ Jing's arms wrapped around him and closed his eyes.

He had been waiting for these words for a long time.

"Don't tell me you're smiling," Situ Jing warned in a low voice.

"I'm not," Bai Yu said, secretly curling the corners of his mouth as he held Situ Jing's hand.

Situ Jing clasped Bai Yu's hand in his. "Why are you so hot?"

    "I'm not feeling well."

Because Bai Yu was unwell, the two stayed in Nangang City for a week, waiting for his false heat to subside before leaving.

Not long after returning to Yunjing, Bai Yu discovered he was pregnant.

When Chen Xun and Ye Liuzheng saw the ultrasound picture Situ Jing posted on his social media, they couldn't help but marvel.

"With such an alpha-looking face, he’s actually so innocent?"

"He even got a beta pregnant. Seems like he’s got endless energy."

    *

One day in October, He Lele received a wedding invitation from Bai Yu. With mixed feelings, he arrived at the rose-filled wedding venue.

He hadn’t been in touch with Bai Yu since his birthday party. Suddenly receiving an invitation, he wasn’t sure what to expect, but he came anyway.

Bai Yu, wearing a custom-tailored suit with a shimmering moth brooch on his collar, spotted He Lele and walked over. "I thought you wouldn’t come."

He Lele scratched his head and handed the gift to Bai Yu. "Happy wedding."

Bai Yu accepted the gift and said to He Lele, "I apologize for what happened before. Thank you for snapping me out of it."

He Lele cleared his throat lightly. "Actually, I was impulsive too. Later, I heard you won a music award. That finally shut those people up."

    Bai Yu nodded slightly. "Yes."

He Lele looked at Bai Yu. "Are you happy now?"

Bai Yu said with certainty, "Yes."

He Lele felt relieved. "That’s good. Sometimes it takes time for two people to adjust, right?"

Situ Long and his adjutant arrived at the wedding. They didn’t give Bai Yu a hard time, and everything remained civil.

Bai Yu, not watching where he was walking, almost stumbled, but Situ Long quickly grabbed his hand and pulled him up. "Should I arrange a wheelchair for you?"

Bai Yu shook his head hurriedly. "No need, Chief of Staff."

Situ Long asked coldly, "Is this how Situ Jing told you to address me?"

Bai Yu quickly corrected himself. "Auntie, no need."

Situ Jing walked over at that moment, pulling Bai Yu to his side. "Auntie, you’re here so early?"

Situ Long gave a light hum, picked up a glass of champagne, and walked away.

Situ Jing carefully examined Bai Yu's hand, patting unseen dust. "What did she say to you?"

Bai Yu said, "I almost fell just now, and she helped me up."

"Really?" Situ Jing glanced at Situ Long's retreating back. "It's almost time, let's go."

    "Mm."

Situ Jing held Bai Yu's hand as they walked together toward the host's platform.

Bai Li also made time to attend. Since Bai Yu had made his decision, she no longer stood in his way, and she quietly watched Bai Yu and Situ Jing exchange rings and complete the ceremony.

Bai Yu and Situ Jing's wedding was hotly covered by every major media outlet, and celebrities from all walks of life wanted to take photos with Bai Yu.

Chen Xun stood to the side and sighed to Ye Liuzheng, "Back when he let go, I should have signed Bai Yu to my company. Now he's red-hot."

Situ Jing, who was in the middle of taking photos, turned his head with a smile, shooting a piercing glare directly at Chen Xun.

Chen Xun immediately stopped talking. "The guy's hearing is something else."

    *

Three years later, Bai Yu held a brand-new award trophy and gave an exclusive interview to reporters.

After the interview, he immediately opened his phone to check the home security cameras.

Situ Jing had granted Bai Yu access to the surveillance system at Yanting, so now he also had the authority to monitor the house.

On the screen, Situ Jing was swimming in the pool with their son. After swimming, he carried their son out of the water and walked into the living room.

Their son was very interested in Babao, who was on the sofa, but Babao tilted its head and watched him warily.

What followed was all hell broke loose again.

Sometimes, Bai Yu felt that this child was a mini version of Situ Jing—showing intelligence beyond his years from a young age, and with a mean streak.

Fortunately, Situ Jing was there to keep him in check, grabbing him by the scruff of his swim trunks and making him let go of Babao.

Bai Yu drove back to Yanting; it was very late.

He went up to the second floor and saw Situ Jing sleeping with their child in the nursery room.

Just as Situ Jing had once said, he had learned a lot and was ready for having a child.

He had become very patient, rarely lost his temper, and was no longer as moody and unpredictable as before.

Bai Yu leaned down and gently kissed Situ Jing's forehead.

He had used the lightest touch possible, but for some reason, Situ Jing still opened his eyes, suddenly wrapped his arms around Bai Yu's waist, and held him close.

Bai Yu buried his face in Situ Jing's chest, breathing in his sharp scent of fir, feeling a profound tranquility.

At this moment, he admitted that he had been tamed by Situ Jing.

Similarly, Situ Jing had also been tamed by him.

Their love was a process of taming each other—

Using empathy to tame selfishness, love to tame desire, trust to tame doubt, and perseverance to tame giving up.

Using empathy to tame selfishness, love to tame desire, trust to tame doubt, and perseverance to tame giving up.

Wow! this novel has been nothing more but an Emotional ride on a roller coaster😭 Majority of the loops were mostly down however it was still nice to read it. Though I still think the Ending is a bit abrupt🥹 Genuinely, I wanna know more about their life after all of that toxic stuff😭 I 100% RECOMMEND (Lastly, I gotta warn y’all that erm many scenes contain non-consensual stuff… I practically had to hold my breath to get through it)

He had become very patient, rarely lost his temper, and was no longer as moody and unpredictable as before.

      Now this is Character Development🥹
