Chapter 9
byChapter 9
Training
Cheng Feng returned to the vicinity of the villa at 8:30.
There was still an hour and a half before they were supposed to meet.
He went back to the dorm and sat on the living room sofa, scrolling through his phone.
He loved to learn and was always eager to.
His phone was loaded with various educational videos, all intended to fill gaps in his knowledge and broaden his horizons. Even the content he occasionally came across was mostly current affairs news; he hardly ever watched stuff just for fun.
Around 9:30, Fang Xuran and Luo Jun came out of their rooms.
When their gazes landed on Cheng Feng, focused on his phone on the sofa, they both stopped dead, a look of surprise flashing in their eyes.
Was this the same somewhat shabby-looking kid they saw yesterday?
He had changed his clothes, which made his overall demeanor seem more composed, faintly revealing a hint of undeniable refinement. He was like a different person.
Hearing the commotion, Cheng Feng looked up, noticed the two coming out, and turned off his phone screen.
He got up, left the dorm, and took his place in front of Little Master Shang's villa.
Fang Xuran and Luo Jun, however, were in no rush to head over.
They turned and headed to the cafeteria for breakfast.
9:50.
Two figures slowly approached.
It was the two girls.
They had both changed into maid uniforms, their faces wearing exquisite makeup. The form-fitting outfits accentuated their attractive figures perfectly, especially the unbuttoned white shirts at the collar, which were particularly eye-catching.
Their intention was to seduce the young master.
This kind of attire was perfectly reasonable.
But in Butler Liu's eyes, they were here to be servants, not to dress flamboyantly to attract attention.
His face immediately darkened, anger rising.
His sharp gaze raked over the two of them, his tone not the least bit polite, even carrying a biting sharpness. He was clearly furious:
"Are you here to work? Or are you here to sell yourselves?"
These words were like a slap across the faces of the two girls.
They were, after all, young ladies from wealthy families. Being spoken to like this, their faces instantly flushed red with embarrassment. They lowered their heads awkwardly, clutching the hems of their clothes, at a loss for what to do.
Cheng Feng stood to the side, for some reason finding the statement "dressing up nicely means you're selling yourself" particularly offensive. After struggling internally for a moment, he mustered his courage and spoke up to defuse the situation:
"Butler Liu, perhaps girls dressing up nicely is just to make themselves happy."
Butler Liu turned to look at him, his brow slightly furrowed:
"Are you saying that them wearing earrings, deliberately hiking their skirts up so high they almost show their butts, doesn't mean that?
And unbuttoning their shirts, exposing their chests—is that not a problem?
I have no issue with makeup or dressing nicely, but such blatant and revealing attire—isn't that excessive?"
Upon hearing this, the two girls' faces turned even redder.
They buried their heads lower, hurriedly reaching up to fasten their shirt buttons and pulling their skirt hems down, wishing they could find a crack in the ground to crawl into.
Cheng Feng actually hadn't paid close attention to their attire, thinking the skirts were just designed that short. Seeing this, he quickly apologized:
"Butler Liu, I'm sorry, I..."
Butler Liu's tone softened considerably, carrying a hint of kind guidance:
"It's good to speak up for girls, but you need to consider the occasion and the situation. At times like this, you must learn to distinguish right from wrong."
Cheng Feng quickly nodded: "Yes, I understand."
Butler Liu withdrew his gaze, sweeping it over Cheng Feng and the other three, his expression darkening again.
"And the other two? Still sleeping in their rooms?"
As he spoke, his eyes turned to Cheng Feng, as if asking.
Cheng Feng followed his gaze and glanced behind him.
At that moment, Fang Xuran and Luo Jun were standing awkwardly behind Butler Liu, holding drinks in their hands, their faces full of embarrassment.
They had no idea the cafeteria was so far away.
They hadn't calculated the time yesterday.
They had thought it would only take them a few minutes to walk there, and they would have plenty of time to return before the gathering.
Unexpectedly, the round trip to the cafeteria took twenty minutes. Buying things and eating breakfast delayed them further, and before they knew it, they couldn't make it back in time.
Butler Liu noticed his gaze, turned around, and happened to see the two of them. His tone instantly turned icy:
"Where did you go?"
"W-we went to have breakfast," the two replied softly, not daring to look up.
Butler Liu frowned tightly and ordered sternly:
"Go over there and stand properly!"
Not daring to delay, the two hurriedly walked over to stand beside Cheng Feng, positioning themselves properly.
Butler Liu's gaze swept over the five people in front of him as he said sternly:
"The rules, I explained them clearly to you all yesterday. As for the subsequent training, Brother Li and Cai Yun will be responsible for teaching you. All of you, study diligently. If there's anything you don't understand, ask immediately. Don't pretend to understand when you don't. Understood?"
The five responded in unison: "Yes!"
For the following week, Cheng Feng had thought he would directly start taking care of Little Master Shang.
But what was actually arranged was intensive training, far more rigorous than he had anticipated.
From the methods of brewing coffee, sorting and washing clothes, to the correct handling of garbage, then to the cleaning standards for various parts of the villa, the daily care procedures for Little Master Shang, the schedule of work throughout the day... everything had to be learned one by one, and they were required to master it all within a week.
Out of the twenty-four hours in a day, nearly twelve were spent on training. The high-intensity learning left the few of them physically and mentally exhausted.
