    Chapter 16: So Easily Embarrassed

Cheng Feng had been giving the young master a massage for nearly an hour.

His arms ached like lead, his fingertips numb. He couldn't keep it up any longer and stopped, as quietly as he could, raising his hand to gently knead his sore, aching arm, trying to ease the dull ache.

The next second, Shang Shaohao suddenly looked up, his gaze landing on him.

Cheng Feng was caught off guard by that look, his heart skipping a beat as he thought, *Oh no.*

He'd just rubbed his arm a little—surely he wouldn't get scolded for that?

Shang Shaohao slowly sat up straight, his tone flat:

"Alright, that's enough. No need to continue."

"Yes, Young Master." Cheng Feng breathed a sigh of relief, hurried to reply and step aside, instinctively massaging his stiff arm.

After dinner, Shang Shaohao went straight upstairs. Cheng Feng stayed downstairs to help Sister Caiyun clean up.

The two of them finished off the leftovers together. The aroma of the food chased away most of their tiredness. Cheng Feng thought it tasted amazing, and after eating his fill, it even gave him a bit of extra energy for the work.

After they'd tidied the first floor, he followed Sister Caiyun upstairs.

Outside the bedroom door, Sister Caiyun gently knocked. Shang Shaohao's voice came from within soon after:

    "Come in."

Pushing the door open, they saw Shang Shaohao sitting at the desk doing his homework.

Cheng Feng didn't let his eyes wander, following Sister Caiyun straight into the bathroom. He first filled the tub with warm water, then, as instructed by Sister Caiyun, poured some purple medicinal solution into the bath.

The solution had a strong herbal scent.

Cheng Feng didn't know what it was for exactly, only remembering Sister Caiyun had said it was something beneficial for the body.

After the water was ready, he went to the walk-in closet, found a set of yellow-and-white pajamas, hung them on the hook in the bathroom, and then silently took his place by Shang Shaohao's side to wait.

Sister Caiyun went downstairs to cut some fruit. Not long after, she returned with a fresh fruit platter, gently prompting:

"Young Master, why don't you take a bath first? You'll feel more comfortable afterward."

Shang Shaohao let out a small yawn, casually closed his book, picked up a fork, speared a piece of watermelon, and put it in his mouth. The sweet, cool juice helped fight off his sleepiness. He stood up, took a few steps, then suddenly turned back, his gaze falling on Cheng Feng, his tone devoid of inflection:

    "You, come with me."

Sister Caiyun was taken aback for a moment, then caught on quickly, hurriedly nudging Cheng Feng beside her and whispering urgently:

    "Go on, quickly."

Cheng Feng blinked. Sister Caiyun's training hadn't covered entering the young master's bathroom to help him bathe!

Cheng Feng looked at Sister Caiyun. Sister Caiyun immediately waved her hand,

"Quick, follow him, attend to him properly."

Cheng Feng pressed his lips together, entered the bathroom, and then closed the door.

The bathroom was filled with steam, mixed with the warmth of the herbal medicine and hot water. He stood nervously in the corner, his body was tense and he was breathing lightly.

What was he supposed to do?

Lost, he couldn't help but look up at Shang Shaohao.

Shang Shaohao stood with his arms crossed, leaning against the bathroom doorframe, a faint, somewhat amused smile playing on his lips as he looked at Cheng Feng:

"Weren't you quite bold during the interview, even daring to feed my dog that junk food? How come now that you're employed, you've become so timid?"

Cheng Feng's heart jolted with shock.

So the young master hadn't forgotten about that day at all; he had just been pretending not to know him!

He lowered his head. *Was he angry about that?*

*Was he going to punish him?*

"Young Master, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. I didn't know it couldn't eat that..."

"Do I need to teach you how to serve someone?" Shang Shaohao's voice grew a shade cooler, carrying a hint of pressure.

Cheng Feng came to his senses and stepped forward to undo Shang Shaohao's shirt buttons.

He took a deep breath, suppressing the panic in his heart, and deftly helped him out of his shirt and pants. After finishing, he finally looked up at Shang Shaohao, waiting for the next instruction.

Shang Shaohao was younger than him and slightly shorter. Now, looking down at him, Cheng Feng truly felt that the person before him looked like a child.

He didn't dare look at his body, avoiding his scrutinizing gaze.

Shang Shaohao's sickly pale face showed no expression. He silently walked to the bathtub and slowly sat down in the warm water. The herbal scent of the medicine mixed with the steam, spreading through the bathroom.

Seeing Shang Shaohao sitting quietly without moving,

Cheng Feng glanced at the toiletries nearby, took the initiative to step forward, picked up a towel, dipped it in water, and began gently wiping his body.

Shang Shaohao closed his eyes, a trace of weariness between his brows, seeming too lazy to bother with him, letting him proceed.

The towel passed over his skin, bringing a warm sensation.

Cheng Feng's cheeks flushed slightly. After a moment's hesitation, he still spoke softly:

"Young Master, do you... need your whole body wiped?"

Shang Shaohao slowly opened his eyes, his gaze falling on Cheng Feng, who was half-kneeling by the bathtub, his tone flat:

    "Continue. Make sure it's clean."

    "Yes."

"But your back... if you don't stand up, I can't wash it." Cheng Feng's voice grew even quieter.

"Can't you use your brain?" Shang Shaohao's tone held a touch more impatience. "Do I need to teach you step-by-step how to help your master bathe?"

Cheng Feng lowered his head, his ears reddening as if about to drip blood. He could only support Shang Shaohao's shoulder, adjusting the angle as best he could, and slowly wipe his back.

It took a full half hour of effort.

He then refilled the tub with clean hot water, meticulously wiping him down once more before barely finishing the task.

Shang Shaohao turned around, leaning on the edge of the bathtub, his eyes fixed directly on Cheng Feng's flushed cheeks,

"Why are you so shy? Aren't you a guy too?"
