Chapter 42: So Many Art Classes

The next class was fairly easy for Cheng Feng.

It was Chinese class, and the content wasn't much different from what he had learned before. He could understand and keep up.

The teacher lectured at the front, while he jotted down every word below, afraid of missing anything.

During the break, he flipped open tomorrow's schedule.

"Piano class, gym class, art class... and they're all back-to-back? There's even a dance class day after tomorrow."

Cheng Feng stared at the schedule, his eyes growing wider and wider, his face full of shock.

    So many art classes?

He couldn't help but sigh inwardly. It seemed rich people really placed a high value on the arts.

For Cheng Feng, time spent studying seriously always passed quickly. Around four in the afternoon, school let out.

As the bell rang, students surged toward the exit like birds released from a cage.

Cheng Feng packed up his things, followed Shang Shaohao's footsteps, and trailed behind him out of the classroom.

The hallway was noisy, but he only had eyes for the slightly lazy figure ahead.

Zhang Yuantao saw Cheng Feng following Shang Shaohao like a little tail and hurried to catch up, patting his shoulder:

"Cheng Feng, why are you following Shao Hao?"

"Isn't there only one way out of the school?" Cheng Feng answered honestly.

"Oh..." Zhang Yuantao was momentarily stunned before realizing he'd asked a dumb question.

The group walked to the school gate. The Shang family's luxury car was already parked right in the center of the entrance. Its sleek lines and paint gleaming coldly under the setting sun made it clear it was worth a fortune, sticking out conspicuously among the other vehicles.

Passing students almost all instinctively took a second look.

When they saw Cheng Feng walking toward that car with Shang Shaohao, they looked on with curiosity and surprise, all wondering to themselves about the identity of this new kid.

Zhang Yuantao walked beside them; his family's car was parked next to the Shang family's.

He glanced sideways at Cheng Feng and asked casually:

"Which one is your family's car?"

Cheng Feng immediately remembered what Shang Shaohao had said during the day. His heart tightened, and his mind raced:

"I live near Brother Hao's place, so I'm just catching a ride back with him."

"You live near Shang Shaohao's house?" Zhang Yuantao looked utterly shocked, his eyes wide. "That can't be right. I remember there aren't any other wealthy families near his place. You..."

"Tsk." Shang Shaohao turned back impatiently, shooting Zhang Yuantao a glance. "Why do you talk so much? His dad asked him to stay at my place temporarily, got it? Idiot."

"Oh—" Zhang Yuantao suddenly understood, quickly waving a dismissive hand. "Then I'll head off first, Brother Hao. Bye, see you tomorrow."

Shang Shaohao snorted, not replying, and pulled open the rear door to get in.

Cheng Feng stood by the car and looked toward the driver's seat.

The driver turned and smiled at him:

"Xiao Feng, get in. Butler Liu said from now on, you'll ride home with the young master."

"Okay." Cheng Feng nodded, opened the car door, and got in.

The interior was spacious, with soft, comfortable leather seats.

Shang Shaohao leaned back casually in his seat, slouching lazily.

Cheng Feng sat up straight and proper, turning his head to look at him:

"Brother Hao, just now... thank you."

Shang Shaohao lazily glanced at him:

    "Stupid, can't even lie properly."

Cheng Feng pursed his lips. He really was all thumbs when it came to that, not good at telling lies. He hadn't thought of the problem with the "live nearby" excuse just then. If Shang Shaohao hadn't covered for him, his identity might have been exposed.

Though he still didn't fully understand what exposing his identity truly meant.

    The car started smoothly.

Cheng Feng placed his hands on his knees, sitting ramrod straight.

Shang Shaohao, however, stretched his legs out casually, slumping in his seat, not at all like the proper posture expected of a young master from a wealthy family.

After a while, as if still not comfortable enough, he simply lifted both legs and placed them directly on Cheng Feng's thighs:

    "Massage my legs."

"Yes, young master." Cheng Feng quickly complied, reaching out to knead his legs.

By the time the car pulled up at the entrance of Shang Shaohao's villa, it was nearly five in the afternoon.

The last rays of the setting sun bathed the exquisite garden in a faint golden hue.

As soon as the car stopped, Shang Shaohao retracted his legs and pushed the door open to get out.

Cheng Feng shook his sore, swollen arms and hurriedly followed.

Luo Jun was on duty today.

Standing at the door, he saw Cheng Feng getting out of the car with Shang Shaohao. He was momentarily stunned but quickly recovered, stepping forward immediately to take Shang Shaohao's schoolbag:

    "Young master."

Cheng Feng, thinking it wasn't his shift today, prepared to return to the dormitory to rest.

He had just turned around when a cold voice came from behind:

    "Hold on."

Cheng Feng's steps halted, his heart tightening, an inexplicable chill running down his spine.

"Did I say you could leave?" Shang Shaohao looked at him lazily.

Cheng Feng swallowed, a bad premonition washing over him.

Is he going to hold this against me later?

Shang Shaohao walked leisurely toward the living room:

    "Follow me."

    "Yes..." Cheng Feng hurriedly followed.

In the living room, the crystal chandelier was dazzlingly bright.

Shang Shaohao sank into the sofa, crossing his legs. He jerked his chin at Cheng Feng:

"You, kneel. Don't you dare get up until I tell you to, understand?"

His tone was calm. "If you ever dare threaten me again, I’ll break your legs."

Cheng Feng pursed his lips and slowly knelt down, bowing his head. "Young Master, this was the Eldest Young Master’s order for me to supervise you. I—"

"Shut up." Shang Shaohao’s eyes turned cold, narrowing slightly. "If you dare tell my brother about today, I’ll make your life hell. So I fell asleep—big deal. Did you have to go snitching?"

His tone grew increasingly icy. "If you really dare to tell him, even if my brother protects you, you’re finished. Understand?"

Cheng Feng fell silent, offering no further defense. He simply hung his head and knelt there quietly.

Luo Jun stood to the side, watching the scene unfold, and sighed.

Shang Shaohao looked up at him. "You, come here and massage my shoulders."

"Yes, Young Master." Luo Jun quickly stepped forward, standing behind the sofa to massage his shoulders and back.
