    Chapter 64: Playing Games

Cheng Feng left the eldest young master's villa, looked back at the front door, and scratched his reddened ear. He cursed himself inwardly—he'd been so pathetic lately, always unable to resist looking around. He really ought to gouge his own eyes out.

Today, it was his turn to serve the youngest young master, Shang Shaohao.

He hurried back to Shang Shaohao's villa. As soon as he entered, he saw Shang Shaohao lounging on the sofa playing games, with Zhang Yuantao sitting beside him.

Zhang Yuantao caught sight of him out of the corner of his eye and casually ribbed him, "Hey, Cheng Feng, aren't you the one who loves studying the most? What are you doing here? No practice problems today?"

Cheng Feng was about to answer when Shang Shaohao looked up at him. He'd originally meant for Cheng Feng to come over to give him a massage, but after a few seconds of silence, he changed his mind. "Want to play a game?"

Cheng Feng thought to himself—he was here to work, to serve the young master, how could he possibly play games? If Butler Liu found out, he would definitely get scolded.

"I don't know how to play."

Shang Shaohao's tone was particularly bossy. "Doesn't matter if you don't know. Get over here and play with us."

Cheng Feng had no choice. He took out his phone and went to stand beside him.

Seeing him just planted there, Shang Shaohao frowned. "Who plays games standing up? Sit down."

Cheng Feng hesitated for a good while before slowly sitting down. He knew very well that this sofa wasn't a place for a servant like him to sit, but if he didn't, both Shang Shaohao and Zhang Yuantao were staring at him.

Shang Shaohao glanced at him, his gaze falling on his phone, and said with disdain, "Your phone case is so ugly. What kind of taste do you have?"

Cheng Feng looked at his phone case. Was it ugly?

The case was a plain blue.

The eldest young master had given it to him.

Was he insulting the eldest young master's taste?

Shang Shaohao didn't press the issue and asked instead, "Do you have Honor of Kings on your phone?"

Cheng Feng shook his head. He never played games and hardly ever installed any entertainment apps. Not to mention Honor of Kings, he didn't even have apps like TikTok on his phone.

Zhang Yuantao stood up, sat down next to Cheng Feng, leaned in to look at his phone screen, and couldn't help exclaiming, "Damn, is that all you have on your phone? Besides studying, don't you do anything else?"

    "Just studying," Cheng Feng answered.

Zhang Yuantao knew he loved studying, but he never expected him to not have even a single entertainment app. He had to hand it to him.

"You're insane. Don't you have any other hobbies? Besides studying, can't you think of anything else? Don't you get burned out studying all the time?"

Cheng Feng actually wanted to say that he did do other things—delivering takeout, visiting his mom, helping out at the shop, and chatting with the boss and the others.

But then he remembered his earlier lie about his family being well-off, so he couldn't say those things. The words died on his lips. He just gave a slight shake of his head. "Can't think of any."

Zhang Yuantao was truly impressed and gave him a thumbs-up. "Incredible."

"Hey, you've definitely never played Honor of Kings before, right?"

    "Yeah, never played."

Zhang Yuantao grinned. "I'll teach you, then."

Shang Shaohao turned his head and glanced at the two of them, impatiently saying, "You two are taking forever. I'm almost done with this match. If you're going to teach him, hurry up. We'll trio queue. Hurry up."

"Quit nagging, almost ready," Zhang Yuantao responded.

After that, Zhang Yuantao patiently taught Cheng Feng how to play the game.

This was Cheng Feng's first time trying something like this. He found it kind of novel, but also kind of boring. In his view, winning a match in a game wasn't as rewarding as getting first place in real life.

But when he heard Zhang Yuantao say you could earn money by being really good at games, his eyes instantly widened, and his heart started to race.

You can actually make money playing games?

Just with a phone, you could earn money?

Once he knew this, he suddenly found the game much more interesting.

At first, both Zhang Yuantao and Shang Shaohao wouldn't let him play any other heroes, only play support, and insisted he pick characters like Cai Wenji or Yao, making him tail them the whole time. If he strayed even a bit, both of them would get angry—mainly because both kids thought they were the strongest, and the other two teammates were so weak they didn't deserve to have a support.

Cheng Feng really couldn't understand their thinking. Why did they insist he follow them? Couldn't he go help the other teammates? They were so domineering.

But fortunately, Shang Shaohao and Zhang Yuantao were genuinely good at the game. He just had to follow the two of them, and even if he didn't help the other teammates much, they didn't complain. Instead, they turned on their mics and kept praising how amazing the two were.

The three of them played for two hours straight until Cai Yun came to urge them to eat. Only then did Shang Shaohao and Zhang Yuantao reluctantly put down their phones.

This time, Cheng Feng was called to join them at the table for the meal.

The moment he took his seat, Cai Yun and the other servants nearby were all stunned. They exchanged glances, their eyes filled with envy and a hint of jealousy.

Among them, only Cai Yun felt no jealousy at all. Unmarried, she treated the sensible Cheng Feng like her own child, doting on him.

This child had sacrificed so much for his mother, was so filial, with a gentle yet resilient nature—anyone who saw him would soften and favor him.

Cai Yun was genuinely happy for him from the bottom of her heart. Being able to eat at the table meant that in Shang Shaohao's eyes, he might no longer be seen as a servant but as a genuine friend—of course, this was just her own speculation.

Cheng Feng held his bowl, eating carefully.

The gazes from everyone at the table fell on him, making him feel extremely uncomfortable.

He was a servant, a nanny, a lowly subordinate. The rules set in the villa strictly forbade servants from eating at the same table. Violating the rules would result in severe punishment.

Seeing him so timid and hesitant, Shang Shaohao frowned deeply, his tone impatient.

"You're so slow eating. Are you afraid the food will bite you?"

Cheng Feng pressed his lips together and didn't respond.

Zhang Yuantao also chimed in to persuade him. "Yeah, Cheng Feng, you're too reserved. Just take whatever you want to eat. We won't say you're hogging the food."

Hearing their words, Cheng Feng relaxed a little. He reached out and picked up a larger piece of meat, shoveling rice into his mouth in big mouthfuls. As he ate, a surge of joyful warmth welled up in his heart. He lowered his gaze, the corners of his mouth quietly curving into a slight arc.

His luck was really too good. Everyone he met was a good person.

After the meal, Cheng Feng instinctively stood up to clear the dishes, but Zhang Yuantao stopped him.

"The servants over there will handle it. Why are you getting involved? There's no need for you to do this work."

Cheng Feng's gaze fell on Shang Shaohao, waiting for his words.

Shang Shaohao cleared his throat lightly.

"Just leave it, I'll get it."

"Okay." Cheng Feng responded, withdrawing his hand.

Then the three of them settled back onto the sofa and continued their gaming session.

Cheng Feng picked up gaming incredibly fast. Those support heroes weren't difficult to operate, and in just a few short hours, he became increasingly proficient. Not only did he not hold them back, but he occasionally managed to protect the two of them perfectly, holding his own.

They played until 11:30 at night, when Cheng Feng started getting heavy-eyed, overwhelmed by sleepiness.

Cai Yun came again to urge them to sleep, but Shang Shaohao and Zhang Yuantao were on a roll and refused to stop. The three of them continued playing, staying up until 12:30.

Cheng Feng couldn't hold on any longer—he still had school tomorrow and absolutely couldn't stay up any later. He tried to get the other two to wrap it up, but they were too engrossed in the game and wouldn't listen.

Left with no choice, Cheng Feng resorted to his trump card: threatening to tell the young master.

As soon as he mentioned this, Shang Shaohao and Zhang Yuantao immediately backed down, losing all their defiance, and obediently put down their phones.
