Mom sighed, picked up the little white dog, and held it in her arms, "Look, even Nuomi is so sensible. Why can’t you just make things easier for us?"

Mom stroked the well-behaved Nuomi, accidentally touching a spot that made Nuomi suddenly jump up with an "Ow!"
