Chapter 324: Day Three of Entering the Entertainment World

The lighting in the underground parking garage was somewhat dim, and the air was thick with the smell of gasoline.

Lu Wenshi, wearing an expensive suit with a slightly protruding belly, walked toward a black luxury sedan accompanied by his driver.

He looked relaxed, humming a tuneless tune.

The driver opened the car door for him, and Lu Wenshi bent down to get in. The car pulled smoothly out of the parking garage.

    ----------

When Lu Wenshi got home, he tossed his briefcase onto the entryway cabinet and loosened his tie.

However, his good mood quickly evaporated when he discovered that the house was empty—his wife was not at home.

"Where's she run off to now? Never home!" he grumbled, his tone carrying obvious displeasure.

He plopped down onto the spacious living room sofa, took out his phone, and began calling his wife.

After the call connected and a few words were exchanged, his voice shot up.

"What?! You went abroad again?! With those so-called girlfriends of yours? You don't give a damn about this house anymore, do you?!... Let me tell you, get back here right now!... Fine, you win! Don't bother coming back!"

The argument ended with Lu Wenshi slamming the phone down in a fury.

He flung his phone onto the sofa, his chest heaving, clearly livid.

After fuming alone for a bit, a flicker of irritation and something like anticipation crossed his face. He picked up his phone again, deftly dialed a number, and his voice turned sleazy and suggestive:

"Hey, babe, where you at?... Yeah, I'm home, all alone, bored... Come keep me company, huh? The usual place... Hurry up."

After hanging up, a smug grin spread across his face, as if the fight with his wife had never happened.

He leaned back, poured himself a glass of red wine, closed his eyes, and settled in to wait.

Just as he was relaxing, even starting to fantasize about some amorous scenes, a voice laced with contempt cut through the quiet living room:

    "Disgusting."

The sudden voice made him jump, nearly launching him off the sofa, his heart hammering, whipping his head toward the source in terror.

There, on the armchair across from him, sat someone who hadn't been there a second ago!

It was a stunningly handsome young man in a plain T-shirt and jeans, his beauty impossible to hide.

He lounged there, hands folded on his knees, with a faint, unreadable smile, his dark eyes unreadable, watching him calmly, like he'd been there for ages.

Lu Wenshi's first instinct was sheer terror at the intruder, but when he recognized the face, his fear quickly morphed into a mix of surprise and dirty thoughts.

He recognized this face—An Yi, that washed-up little nobody from his own company that Old Yang had his eye on.

How did he get here? How did he get in?

Did someone in his household help him? Did he bribe the nanny?

Questions raced through his mind, but Lu Wenshi quickly talked himself into a reasonable explanation.

So good-looking, and showing up out of nowhere in his house... Maybe things with Old Yang weren't working out, so he decided to skip the middleman and come straight to the boss for a shortcut?

That thought calmed Lu Wenshi down a bit. He even sat back down, a smug, appraising smile spreading across his face.

He looked An Yi up and down like he was sizing up a piece of merchandise.

"An Yi?" he said, feigning composure. "How did you get in? You need something...?"

He drew the words out, dripping with innuendo.

He'd never kept a man before, but... Lu Wenshi licked his dry lips, his eyes lingering on An Yi's pretty face and slender neck... he could make an exception.

He knew Old Yang had been eyeing An Yi lately. Whatever—he'd have his fun first, and once he got bored... he could always hand him over to Old Yang.

They were all business buddies; nobody would care.

The moment he finished, An Yi's faint smile across from him deepened. The smile was gorgeous, but it sent an inexplicable chill down Lu Wenshi's spine.

Lu Wenshi felt uneasy under that smile and those eyes, but more than that, he was pissed off by the kid's nerve, and something restless stirred in him.

He stood up, ready to teach this disrespectful little punk a lesson, to show him who was boss.

However, the moment he took a step forward, his foot caught on something soft but solid!

    "Ouch!"

The last thing he expected was to trip in his own living room. His body instantly lost balance, and he cried out as he pitched forward.

With a dull thud, his forehead slammed hard against the edge of the glass coffee table. Stars burst in front of his eyes, and pain seared through him.

He lay sprawled on the floor, clutching his forehead—already swollen and bleeding—and glared down in shock and fury at what had tripped him.

The sight nearly scared him out of his skin!

Lying on the floor was none other than Deng Yingrui—unconscious, his face a mess of fresh blood!

His fat body was curled up, sprawled out like a crumpled sack!

"D-Deng Yingrui?!" Lu Wenshi's voice turned shrill with terror. "How the hell is he here?! What... what did you do to him?!"

A horrifying thought hit him—had An Yi, pushed to the edge by Deng Yingrui and Old Yang, come here to kill in revenge?!

And he'd just seen it, which meant...

Terror gripped Lu Wenshi's heart. Ignoring the pain in his forehead, he scrambled to his feet, desperate to get away from this suddenly lethal young man.

But when he managed to lift his head and look at An Yi, the guy was still sitting there calmly, not having moved an inch.

Then An Yi slowly unfolded his hands.

In his palm lay a few thin, yellow... hairs.

Lu Wenshi didn't care about that—he just wanted to run, to scream for help, to yell.

Then he watched as An Yi gently blew on the hairs in his palm.

It was as if something extremely subtle drifted into the air with that breath, then... landed on him.

Lu Wenshi felt a few imperceptible points of cold touch his skin.

Then, a dizzying, bone-crushing, twisting pain and an uncanny sensation engulfed his entire body!

"Ah—!" He tried to scream, but what came from his throat was not a human sound—it was a series of terrified, piercing—

    "Woof! Woof woof woof woof—!!!"
