Chapter 65: Intense Battle
by AdminChapter 65: Intense Battle
Upon seeing that this odious young lad still dared to put on an act at such a critical moment, Jin'er couldn't help but secretly marvel at his audacity. At the same time, she was relieved that he hadn't betrayed her lady.
Otherwise, if these villains found out that Miss had been secretly investigating Manager Wang, who knew what horrors they would inflict upon her!
Just as Jin'er was feeling grateful, she witnessed the old man suddenly kick the youth to the ground: "Little girl, you're still not skilled enough to deceive your grandpa here."
Little girl?
The others in the room were all left dumbfounded.
The youngster, dazed from the fall, paled drastically upon hearing his words.
The man with a thick beard and bushy eyebrows furrowed them into a frown, forming the character 'Chuan' on his forehead: "Master Hong, is this a young girl?"
The old man huffed and continued, "It's a girl. It doesn't matter if she's plain-looking; she can still fetch a price. But this wily girl is up to something, investigating Shopkeeper Wang on someone else's behalf. Wang, you must be ruthless tonight. Try to extract some information from her. Losing an arm or a leg is better than letting her escape."
"Excellent!" the man with the bushy beard promptly agreed.
The boy's face turned ashen, and he didn't even dare to beg for mercy. He hurriedly took a few steps back, his eyes filled with terror.
The old man regained his sinister smile, turned around, and left the room, while the bearded man stayed behind, approaching the scrawny boy with bared knuckles.
The burly man, resembling a bear, quickly reached her side and reached out a massive hand to grab her. But in the next moment, his body froze, and he crashed to the ground, his face slamming into the floor with a thud, bouncing back up slightly.
The boy's eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at the unconscious man on the floor. After a moment of stunned silence, he turned his gaze towards Su Youyue.
There, the young girl lying on the ground was petite, her hair slightly disheveled, and her clothes stained. Despite the apparent distress, her bright face was illuminated by a pair of exceptionally clear eyes that exuded an extraordinary calmness, as if nothing, not even the collapse of a mountain, could faze her.
For a moment, the boy was rooted to the spot, staring at Su Youyue in a daze.
Just then, the old man, who had heard the commotion, returned only to witness the bearded man fallen. His expression changed instantly, but before he could look at the others, Su Youyue abruptly raised her hand. Dozens of silver needles shot out from the syringe, turning the old man's face and neck into a pincushion.
A single strangled cry escaped the old man's throat before he crashed face-first onto the ground.
"You..." The boy never imagined that a wheelchair-bound heiress, in such a dire situation, would possess such lethal skills!
Su Youyue's eyes were as dark as the night outside, and she commanded in a deep voice, "What are you still standing there for? Don't you hurry up and help me escape?"
Initially, she hadn't planned on taking action so soon, but if that brat exposed the reason behind his inquiry about Manager Wang, it would create trouble. Moreover, she couldn't stand idly by as these villains harmed others right before her eyes.
The brat finally regained his senses and ran towards Su Youyue without hesitation. However, just as he was about to reach her, he seemed to recall something and fiercely stomped on the old man's head before assisting Su Youyue up. "Miss Su, let me carry you!"
It would be foolish of her not to see the current situation clearly. Miss Su was now her lifeline!
Su Youyue shook her head. "Let Jin'er carry me first."
There were many people outside at this moment, and she still had to deal with these individuals. It was more reliable for Jin'er to carry her first.
Just as Jin'er hoisted Su Youyue onto her back, the guards outside sensed something amiss and rushed into the room brandishing their weapons.
With a swift gesture from Su Youyue, three men tumbled to the ground like inverted carrots. The ones trailing behind were caught off guard and were struck by the next wave of silver needles shot from the syringe.
With too many people around, she couldn't guarantee that the silver needles would hit their intended pressure points. Thus, some managed to pull out the needles and attempted to charge forward.
However, the needles shot from the syringe resembled a rain of pear blossoms; they couldn't get close to the women at all.
"Damn it! Little bitch! Brothers, scatter and attack! I don't believe she has an endless supply of silver needles!" someone cursed.
The remaining dozen promptly altered their tactics, dispersing while attempting to approach stealthily.
Still in a panic, the young man was suddenly handed a syringe. "Pull the string at the back! Don't let them get close!"
She hastily grabbed the syringe and fired off silver needles, but her heart raced with fear. Was this little troublemaker running out of silver needles?
These men were ruthless and merciless, undoubtedly responsible for countless heinous deeds. If they couldn't escape today...
Their fate would be grim!
As she blindly shot needles, she caught sight of Su Youyue pinching one between her fingers and flicking it towards the nearest burly man, who immediately clutched his eyes in agony.
But Su Youyue didn't give him time to react. Her hand moved so swiftly that it left a blur, instantly firing another needle into a precise spot on the man's head. The muscular brute's screams ceased abruptly as he lost consciousness and fell flat on the ground.
Only then did she realize that the reason those silver needles could subdue these men earlier wasn't due to luck, but rather Su Youyue's pinpoint accuracy in targeting acupuncture points!
The young man's emotions went beyond mere shock. It was inconceivable to her that the delicate lady she had once scorned could wield silver needles with such mastery!
By now, the remaining assailants had also grasped the truth – Su Youyue's success wasn't a stroke of luck. However, it was too late for them to seek cover. The courtyard was empty, offering no place to hide.
"Retreat! Keep a safe distance from the venomous needles. Launch the signal flare to call for backup!" the initial speaker yelled once more.
In the next instant, a silver needle flew into his open mouth, piercing his throat. He clutched his neck in agony, his face contorted, and eyes bulging, yet he dared not utter another sound. Every attempt to speak sent searing pain through his throat. He could only glare at Su Youyue with venomous eyes.
Bitch!
He would kill her!
The man behind him hastily retreated, pulling out the signal flare from his attire...
Su Youyue's gaze intensified. Another silver needle was launched, but this time, it was too far. It merely veered the signal flare slightly off course, though it still managed to be discharged.
"Jin'er, hurry towards the main gate!" she urgently called out.
Despite five men still guarding the entrance, Jin'er didn't hesitate and dashed in that direction.
The boy attempted to shoot more silver needles at the group but found his syringe empty. He discarded it and hastily chased after the pair.
Before they reached the others, Su Youyue had already incapacitated the remaining five. The boy sighed in relief.
Phew, even if they run out of silver needles, there's no need to fear anymore. They can escape!
Her heart pounded with exhilaration as she rushed ahead of Su Youyue and Jin'er, flinging the door wide open.
But in the next moment, it was as if she had been struck by lightning, freezing her in place.
Beyond this courtyard was not a path, but another courtyard!
And at that very moment, a group of people charged in from both sides of this yard!
