Chapter 119: Give Me a Home

Under the moonlight, two figures—one tall, one shorter—stood intimately, leaning into each other. The taller one gazed upward, as if admiring a moonbeam meant only for him.

Lu Jingtang’s lips parted slightly as she met his kiss. His dominant presence unapologetically plundered her breath. The warm palm cradling the nape of her neck stroked her skin in rhythm with their kisses, his thumb finally giving a gentle squeeze to her soft earlobe—a gesture both comforting and utterly possessive.

The kitten, squeezed between them, let out a soft "meow." Whether from embarrassment or the intensity of the kiss, Lu Jingtang’s cheeks flushed a delicate pink. Her long, slender eyelashes cast a shadow on her face as she murmured to the kitten, "Sorry, sorry."

Fu Nanyu looked down, his eyes fixed on hers. His exquisitely chiseled features appeared strikingly defined in the moonlight, a faint curve playing at the corners of his lips. His crisp white shirt, once pristine, was now wrinkled at the chest where Lu Jingtang had clutched it during their kiss. Two buttons at the collar were undone, subtly revealing the firm, well-defined contours of his chest.

A light, playful smile graced his lips, and at the corner of his mouth was a trace of red—Lu Jingtang’s lipstick. The refined, distinguished heir of an elite family suddenly transformed into a charming, unrestrained playboy.

Lu Jingtang couldn’t bear to look away. Her eyelashes fluttered lightly as she reached out, using the back of her hand to wipe away the lipstick mark.

Fu Nanyu allowed her to, simply watching her with a radiant smile. Their eyes met, sparking with an undeniable intensity.

Just as she was about to withdraw her hand, he took it, interlacing their fingers, and whispered softly, "Lu Jingtang, give me a home."

Not "I’ll give you," but "you give me." Lu Jingtang paused, her heart swelling with an ineffable blend of tenderness and longing.

It wasn't a demand, nor a matter of convenience. It was him saying: *When you are ready, when all your doubts are gone, then come to me. Leap into my arms. Let every fiber of our being, every beat of our hearts, be intertwined. Let us become the closest souls in this world. Let me be the one who supports you.*

After the kitten was handed to the housekeeper for a check-up and found to be free of bacteria, it was given a bath and returned to Lu Jingtang.

When the kitten first saw David and Panda, the two enormous dogs, it was terrified, clinging to Lu Jingtang’s ankle and meowing pitifully.

But David and Panda seemed quite fond of the little creature. As if sensing its fear, both dogs moved gently, merely leaning in to sniff it lightly and playfully nudging it with their noses.

Before long, the kitten was no longer afraid of them. It comfortably fell asleep on David’s belly, while Panda meticulously licked its fur.

The housekeeper remarked that David and Panda were treating the kitten like their own daughter. Both David and Panda were females and had been in season several times. Each time, when they tried to take one out, she refused, showing no interest in other dogs, male or female—preferring only to stay by each other’s side.

Seeing that they weren’t fighting, Lu Jingtang felt reassured and turned to pour some cat food. But when she turned back—huh? Where’s my cat?

The kitten that had been lying on David’s belly just moments earlier had vanished into thin air. Lu Jingtang looked left and right but couldn’t find any trace of it.

When Fu Nanyu walked over, he patted Panda’s cheek and said coolly, "Spit it out."

Only then did Lu Jingtang notice that Panda’s mouth was puffed out, as if she had something stuffed inside.

Panda gave Fu Nanyu an innocent look but obediently spat out the kitten.

The kitten landed on the floor in a daze, its fur now soaked with Panda’s saliva.

Lu Jingtang tapped Panda on the head, scolding her, "This isn’t for eating."

Worried that another bath might give the kitten a cold, she didn’t wash it again but simply used a towel to wipe away the saliva.
