Yun Mu hurriedly pushed open the door to the ward, but Huo Chun did not follow her in.

The ward was quiet, with only Huo Tingying lying on the bed, still unconscious in his blue and white striped hospital gown.

Yun Mu's steps felt heavy as she slowly approached, lowering her gaze to look at the man on the bed.

That once arrogant and rebellious face was now gaunt and pale, its contours even more cold and harsh.

The man who had been standing before her just a few days ago, bossing her around, now lay here lifelessly, so quiet that it was suffocating.

If not for the instruments showing his vital signs were normal, she would have doubted he would ever wake up.

"Huo Tingying, what are you doing? Why are you treating yourself like this?"

Huo Tingying was stunned and dared not meet her eyes.

Yun Mu stared at him. "Really just lack of rest?"

Huo Tingying clenched his palm slightly and nodded. "Yes. I'm sorry for disrupting your travel plans. I'll have Feng Shuo book you another ticket to M Country."

"I don't need you to worry about when I go to M Country! I am your attending physician, and I won't leave until you're discharged." Yun Mu declared.

Huo Tingying looked up at her, his deep, narrow eyes seeming to hold impenetrable ink, making it hard to read his emotions.

He said solemnly, "Yun Mu, we are already divorced, and my attending physician has been changed to Si Nanjue."

"Then change it back. I will treat your illness." Yun Mu insisted stubbornly. "Your life was saved by me, and I decide!"

Huo Tingying gazed into her clear eyes, momentarily unsure how to respond.

Finally, he resorted to his old tactic, choosing the most hurtful words to drive her away.

Turning his head away from her face, he said calmly, "Yun Mu, why bother? We have no ties anymore. Why make things difficult for yourself? Leave now while A'Ling hasn't arrived yet."

"Are you really going to force me out?" Yun Mu pressed him.

Huo Tingying's face darkened, but he remained silent.

Yun Mu's frustration rose. "What if I say that if I leave now, I won't come back again?"

His fists clenched and unclenched the sheets, and he lowered his eyes. "Feng Shuo, show her out."

The last glimmer of hope in Yun Mu's eyes faded.

She gave a bitter smile and said, "No need. I'll leave on my own."

Feng Shuo hesitated as he watched Yun Mu leave, wanting to chase after him but not daring to do so. He could only look on anxiously at the stubborn Huo Tingying.

"Young Master, why must you do this? Young Lady has finally come back. Can't you let her stay?"

Huo Tingying's cold eyes fell upon him. "If I hadn't woken up just now, were you going to tell her everything?"

Feng Shuo lowered his head. "Young Master, I..."

"Don't forget who your master is! Get out!" Huo Tingying snapped coldly.

Outside the door, Huo Chun saw Yun Mu rushing out of the ward and quickly approached him.

"How could you just leave like that?"

Yun Mu sneered. "What else? Stay inside and be humiliated?"

Huo Chun was taken aback. "He woke up?"

"Woke up. Go see for yourself."

Yun Mu stormed out of the ward and headed straight for the elevator.

Yunzhe, seeing her leave, shifted his gaze to Huo Chun beside him and said coldly, "You brought her back?"

Huo Chun nodded. "Yes, what's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?"

To her surprise, she found that the usually gentle Dr. Si was now looking at her with a murderous glare.

Yunzhe gave her a cold glance and pushed open the ward door, slamming it shut with a loud "Bang!"

Huo Chun, "..."

What kind of doctor is this? What kind of professionalism?!

Seeing Yunzhe enter with a furious expression, Huo Tingying sneered. "Your plan got disrupted, didn't it?"

Yunzhe's face darkened. "You know very well my intentions; I wouldn't harm her!"

"This was unexpected, and I didn't know Huo Chun would act like this. But she probably hasn't realized yet. I'll arrange for her to leave," Huo Tingying said.

As long as Yun Mu goes to M Country, he can keep her there.

After a moment of silence, Huo Tingying nodded. "Fine, let's start tonight."
