Ruoshui Garden.
As soon as Cheng Li hung up the phone, he was met with Yi Jue's anxious and tense gaze.
"What happened? Did she agree to meet? When is she coming to see me?"
Cheng Li looked slightly embarrassed. "Miss Cloud didn't say anything... she hung up without a word."
Yi Jue's face darkened immediately, glaring at Cheng Li with gritted teeth. "Did you explain everything clearly to her? Did you mention the severity of the situation?"
Cheng Li replied, "I did, Yi Jue. You were right next to me. You heard everything, didn't you?"
Yi Jue's expression turned even darker, his deep, narrow eyes fixed on Cheng Li's face, wishing he could tear him apart. "This is all because of your lousy idea! You've completely humiliated me!"
Cheng Li looked aggrieved. "But Yi Jue, you asked me to come up with a way to get Miss Cloud to meet you. And... you agreed to it..."
"Are you saying this is all my fault?"
Cheng Li lowered his head. "No, it's my fault. I came up with a lousy idea."
Half an hour later, the sound of a sports car's engine roared outside Ruoshui Garden.
Immediately after, Zhang Ma said, "Yi Jue, Miss Cloud is here."
Yi Jue's eyes brightened and he swiftly sat up from the sofa.
Cheng Li hurriedly reminded him, "Yi Jue, lie down! You're supposed to be a patient!"
Right, right!
Yi Jue quickly lay back on the sofa and waved at Cheng Li and Zhang Ma. "You both go out first. Now."
Cheng Li had already wanted to leave, and as he reached the door, he saw Yun Mu storming in, her aura radiating murderous intent, not even acknowledging his greeting.
Yun Mu rushed in and immediately spotted Yi Jue lying on the sofa, one hand on his forehead, feigning weakness.
Her eyes flashed with coldness as she rushed forward and kicked the sofa in front of him, her cold voice ringing out. "Cut the act! Get up!"
Yi Jue lowered his hand, displeased. "Who are you yelling at? Who?"
"You! I'm yelling at you!"
Yi Jue took a deep breath. "As the aggressor, you still have the nerve to yell at me? I didn’t press charges for assault out of kindness!"
Yun Mu sneered. "Assault charges? Where’s the injury report? Hand it over!"
Yi Jue, who had been prepared for this, shoved the documents on the coffee table into Yun Mu's hands. "Take a good look! Yun Mu, you’re in serious trouble this time!"
Yun Mu glanced at the dubious injury report and inwardly reminded herself to stay calm, not to get angry over a jerk like him. It wasn’t worth it!
"Yi Jue, you've gone to great lengths to extort me! Claiming I kicked you so hard you're now impotent! A prestigious man like you, Yi Jue, has lost all sense of dignity!"
Yi Jue smirked, shamelessly. "Don’t defame me! The injury report is genuine, and the fact that you injured me is undeniable."
Yun Mu scoffed. "Injury report? Who conducted it? Dare to do it again with me present?"
Yi Jue narrowed his eyes, raising an eyebrow. "Why go to the hospital when you’re far more capable than they are? How about you examine me yourself?"
Before he could finish speaking, he suddenly grabbed Cloud Mu's slender hand and pulled her towards him, pressing her hand against his body...
Cloud Mu's bright eyes narrowed instantly, and she swiftly shook off his hand as if electrocuted, her face under the veil turning red.
She stared at him in shock. "Yi Jue, are you insane? Just because I rejected your proposal and embarrassed you, you want to torment me like this?"
"Torment?"
"Isn't it? What you just did, I could totally report you for sexual harassment!"
Yi Jue's deep eyes stared at her unblinkingly, as dark as the bottom of a well, and he snorted coldly, "Go ahead. With this injury report in hand, let's see who loses and who wins."
Cloud Mu was truly flabbergasted.
This damn man really had the audacity to act like he wasn't afraid of being reported, as if he was ready to fight to the end.
He really was willing to go all out just to punish her!
Cloud Mu took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down, and tried to negotiate with him. "Yi Jue, let's not bring up irrelevant matters. We both know your injury report is fake, and there's nothing really wrong with you..."
"How do you know there's nothing wrong? Have you tested it yourself?" Yi Jue stared at her.
"..." Cloud Mu breathed in again. "Then how do you know you're not able to... have you tried with other women?"
"I haven't tried it with any women, don't smear me! I know my own body, and I'm just not able to anymore." Yi Jue had a you-can't-do-anything-about-it expression, and since he had chosen the shameless tactic, he was going to see it through.
Cloud Mu could no longer bear it. "Yi Jue, enough! Just tell me what you want. If you're trying to force me to marry you, let me tell you..."
"You're dreaming too much!"
Yi Jue looked at her, fuming and flustered, like a puffed-up ball of fluff, and he found her increasingly adorable.
"Anyway, I was injured because of you, and now this unmarried, childless young man has fallen victim. You have to be responsible for me."
"R-responsibility? How?" Cloud Mu asked.
Yi Jue took out another prepared contract and placed it in front of Cloud Mu. "Simple. Be responsible by treating me until I'm fully recovered in that department."
Cloud Mu's eyes widened. "You want to trap me in Ruoshui Garden again? Don't even think about it!"
Yi Jue narrowed his eyes and said displeasedly, "How can you shout without even looking? You've done something wrong and feel guilty. Do you think you have many choices?"
Cloud Mu was speechless with anger, quickly scanned the contract, then looked up uncertainly. "So... once I cure you, I can really leave, right?"
"Yes." Yi Jue nodded.
"And I don't have to live here, just come every two days for treatment and prescriptions?"
"Yes." Yi Jue nodded again, raising an eyebrow. "If you waste all your time here, how will you find time to cultivate the medicine for treating blood disorders?"
Cloud Mu, "..."
Fearing she might fall into a trap, Cloud Mu examined the contract repeatedly, then hesitantly said, "Alright... I'll sign. But we agree that once you're cured, I can leave. You can't go back on your word, and I only need to come every two days."
Yi Jue was impatient. "It's in black and white, and you've read it five times! What are you dawdling for? Sign it already!"
Cloud Mu frowned, then finally picked up the pen and signed her name under Yi Jue's gaze.
Yi Jue's thin lips curled into a triumphant arc, and as soon as she finished signing, he snatched one copy of the contract as if afraid she might back out. "One copy for each of us. Keep your copy safe."
Cloud Mu felt a little exhausted, with a sense of having sold herself.
And... how was she supposed to treat him? If this damn man really was left permanently impotent because of her kick, then what?
She was an expert in medicine, but she didn't know how to cure impotence!
But the contract was signed, and it was too late to change her mind now.
