Her eyes widened in astonishment as she stared blankly at the handsome face above her.

Before Ji Shu could gather her thoughts, out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Yunzhe and Yi Yanran turning their heads toward the commotion and making their way over.

Ji Shu hastily shook her head. "No, no, I'm totally fine! Ouch!"

Trying to prove she was unhurt, Ji Shu took a couple of steps but the pain made her stumble again, collapsing right into Yun Shumo's arms.

In that instant, Ji Shu had a sudden realization, suddenly recalling Yi Jue's meticulous advice.

"You need to make it clear he’s not indispensable to you. Best to show him how in demand you are, that even without him, you’re still a catch. The contrast will instantly put him in his place, hook, line, and sinker."

Yi Jue's words echoed in her mind.

As the two closed in step by step, Ji Shu turned to Yun Shumo. "Yun Shumo, are you seeing anyone?"
